hav yet to see the final ep yet but NO WAY THEY ACTUALLY KILLED OFF MA PI THIS IS SO SAD??? I HATE IT HERE πππ and not the nanny putting the poetry book on the grave i am so unwell.......
i'm totally sold on this tho!! i have never seen a vampire drama and this might be my first. great choice on the leads, taecyeon is a terrific actor and anyone who's seen IYWUM knows won ji an is perfect for a role like this, pale beauty but cold and cynical character. also cohabitation trope my beloved <333
SJK can't choose project very freely coz his project comes with lot of expectations and should deliver both with…
honestly after seeing him in specs in RR my need for seeing him in some sort of academic role (teacher/doctor/etc!) increased by tenfold π€‘ but even if it's not that specifically, a lighter and more casual drama in general would do him good for sure. I think he'll likely choose a character that allows him to express himself a bit more, since he once mentioned acting as an emotionally repressed character was a bit hard on him (this was about Vincenzo, but Dojun was just as guarded if not more tbh) and it felt kind of restricting. But all that aside I'm excited for whatever he chooses to do next.
The story of the novel is about a North Korean refugee who defects to Belgium, to give the synopsis some more…
looked into it a bit and europe is absolutely a less common destination but acc. to wikipedia, in 2014 there were around 1,6 tsd. NK refugees in EU countries like belgium, netherlands, germany, france, the UK, scandinavia, etc. with the biggest community living in london. so it's a thing for sure but obviously the majority defect to asian countries since it's just closer. most of it also comes down to diplomatic & political relations between the different countries. in the novel, the mc was able to get a plane ticket through a broker tho they didn't explain how. but i also haven't read very far yet :)
i rewatched the ep and love love how things dont get dragged out!! just like how seyeon came clean at the right time in ep9, the whole dismissal issue got cleared up swiftly and i like that they used all those instances of inseong helping others to show how good of a person he is. and if you think about it, that's also a core theme of this show: inseong's kindness, his "nosiness". inseong can't help himself but be nosy and stand up for others (which ironically also sets him back and halts his career too, though not to his fault) and it's that kindness that he receives in return and that influences others. it's what kim seon joo points out all the time and that he initially comes to appreciate too.
also gotta point out that scene where mapi recites that poem likeβ wow??? it's such a good poem and that scene does a rlly good job illustrating his character.......might have cried a little tbh (me realizing i love those archetypes of tough guy in suit who can beat you to a pulp but is also an abandoned lost boy inside, looking at you vincenzo and yoon gyeo re).
anyhoo this show about man in a phone in general has no business being this poignant and emotional πππ this drama is such a surprise for me i didn't expect to like it this much and honestly feeling bad for everyone who dropped this or dismissed it bc of the bad poster/silly synopsis. PLEASE WATCH THIS
I think he is alive. The preview of the next episode made it look like he is at the hospital and the little girl…
exactly, they showed someone with a head bandage lying in a hostpital bed (it definitely wasn't kim seon joo) so that's gotta be him! i'm holding on to that until next week lol. also there's probably some more scenes we didn't see that they're gonna show just like with the kiss scene.
Really want to watch something by this actor and I'm finally going to give in. DOS feels unappealing because of…
as for Vincenzo you really just need to see for yourself. Some say they like the beginning better than the end, some the end more than the beginning, some say it drags at the start, the middle or the end. It depends on the person. I didn't think it dragged at all at any point but I was also very invested in the characters. It's best to watch the first 4 episodes (big reveal in ep 4) and then decide if you want to continue on with it. imho it just gets better from there and the ending is great as well.
