i really liked how they went about their reason for the divorce - neither ha ra nor eun beom are completely to blame, ha ra never intended it but was inconsiderate and eun beom kept feeling suffocated but failed to communicate his feelings until it blew up in his face. and i think it's good that they're showing some nuance here. because real life is messy! relationships are messy and people are never perfect nor make the best decisions for themselves or others and that's a completely normal thing that happens. what's important is that you recognize what went wrong and try to work it out from there. and i think (hope) that the leads will get there now that the truth is on the table, even though it seems like there is still a looong way until then. i honestly hoped ki seo hee wouldn't become a recurring character after this but i guess we'll have to deal with that. i'm seated for now~
edit: the comments really showing that some people here either aren't adults or have never been in an adult marriage π¬ suprise! people and relationships are actually multi-faceted!
not the best sci-fi film i've ever seen; plot, characters and worldbuilding (which is so very important when it comes to this genre) felt underdeveloped to say the least but did it still make me cry? yeah
crossing my fingers so hard for this to be screened at cannes..... they're submitting it and if does get picked, then i'm one step closer to finally seeing a sjk movie in theatres π
PLEASE BE GOOD!The trailer really looks promising. I need a good romcom in my life.
i'm REALLY hoping it's good because it has all those tropes that i adore and netflix also hasn't really come out with any (original) romance dramas that sparked my interest. it's sad because most of their originals are darker shows and almost all of their attempts at romance so far (not counting the movies) have been pretty lackluster from what i've heard. they need a win!
Yeahhh ugh, I'm in EU too and their k-drama repertoire is so bare bones :// I don't understand why some are added and some aren't and it's always the ones I want to see that never get added (like Link: Love Eat Kill, Big Mouth, Love All Play, Crazy Love as you said, etc). I can't for the love of me figure out the reasoning behind them doing that.
And when it comes to some dramas taking forever to be released here, the same thing happens to some extent with Netflix and it has me scratching my head. While the US gets the K-dramas at the same time as Korea, viewers in the EU have to wait weeks for them to be available (and by then I've already seen the series illegally somewhere, because I want to watch new shows On-Air). It's interesting because if you think about it, services like VIKI that rely entirely (!) on volunteering fan-translators are able to release new episodes the day the come out. They do take a bit longer with other languages (still faster than other services tho), but English is always out the same day and that's enough for most people. Just weird with Netflix & Co. being these multimillion dollar companies, you'd think they'd have enough money to hire enough professional translators to make sure dramas are released on time. And it makes me wonder, if Netflix has the english subs ready because the US gets them right away anyways, why not just release them for EU too and just add the other languages later? Can they not do that because of weird geo-restrictions, or because they're not allowed to release a series in a country when they haven't completed the subs for that county's official language itself? Or maybe there are some other business-related reasons that have nothing to do with translations at all.. really don't know. And Disney+ takes even longer that I wonder if the execs responsible for this type of content are just slacking off or simply don't care enough... Sorry for the ramble but this frustrates me as well to no end haha π
after watching his live performances i am so ready to hear kim min gue sing like! they better utilize his angelic…
and huh what's with people saying the posters look childish? this is a romcom about a priest becoming a kpop idol (which the indiv. posters reference, with the photocard look) what did you expect the poster to look like? serious and in tones of grey? if anything i'd expect the poster of a drama with a silly plot like that to be bright and fun. god forbid a romcom poster is pretty and has colors π³ begging yall to lighten up a little god
jeezus that ending,,, cat's out of the bag now i guess. i was expecting the reason behind the cheating to be revealed pretty soon but i was NOT expecting to find out in the middle of the courtroom in front of the judge + everyone else π what a mess slfjgjsjd im curious how things will progess from here on
I am so excited for this!!!! I didn't even know that they had released an air date! I just watched the trailer…
ikr!! seems like we'll get to see the doldam staff somewhere other than the familiar countryside hospital, which is super exiting since it feels like the stakes are even higher this time around lol
it's been a few days since i've finished it and i'm still laughing at how much chishiya pissed me off with his unbothered attitude in the first season. i don't even know why and granted it's been a whole two years but all i remember is wanting to punch him in the face. it's hilarious in hindsight because he lowkey carried season 2 for me π it was so funny watching him just ace every game and being completely unfazed by all the fuckery happening around him (and even funnier while arisu and the gang were out there fighting for their damn lives). he girlbossed too close to my heart i fear everyone sometimes it's okay to admit you were wrong πβοΈ i've seen the light now and yes it's correct that chishiya is the best character in the show i won't discuss.
