I watched g idle's song (and mv or whatever it was) for this and the cuts of this drama were really interesting!…
omg i had no idea idle was doing an ost for this! just listened to it and i really like it. i hope them doing an ost for this is a good sign bc the last time they did a theme song for a drama (her private life) i was obsessed with it lol
i think this one's a grower. you have to really sit with it and all its ideas or rewatch it to really be able to appreciate it fully. for me at least! it wasn't really instantaneous the moment i walked out the theatre but the more i think about this movie as time passes the more shattered (pun intended) i feel. i only just now understood but. that shot at the end where you see the ocean destroy the pile of sand. it looks like a mountain!!!! the once tall and stable mountain (hae jun) is being broken down by the sea (seo rae). the entire mountain and sea imagery throughout the whole movie was genius in itself and ties in with pretty much everything, and its so hidden in plain sight that you might not notice it at the beginning aside from seo rae quoting confucius that one time but it's really obvious, and its masterfully done. it's all so beautifully heartbreaking. and the editing is some of the best i've ever seen in a movie. yeah park chan wook is a genius i get it now
taeil's song is also really good!
starring in three projects back to back
