I feel like they change the subs to what they interpret is trying to be said. I hate it especially now i know…
Sadly Netflix can't do TNs like Viki does, even if the translators would want to. I only found out recently too but they actually have a limited number of words that are allowed on screen (yeah it's stupid) so they have to translate accordingly. That's why the subs suck a lot of the time, stuff gets lost in translation, etc.
rating went up!! deserved ๐คฉ love that this is getting rave reviews because it was truly a romcom executed to perfection โ anyone even slightly into the genre or the tropes present here should give it a go!
Yoo Teo reminds me so much of Ok Taec-yeon, I thought they could be brothers ๐
now that i've thought about it they really do resemble each other. imagining an alternate universe now where instead of kdy, teo yoo played his brother in vincenzo ๐ (love kdy tho he was perfect for the role)
Already left a review but I'm back because I've rewatched it so many times. I love this drama so much. The perfect…
recommend you (and anyone else that wants to see more of him) to check out his romance film "past lives", it's not here on MDL but it debuted at the sundance film festival this year and got critical acclaim! i just watched it and it was amazing! not a comedy and more on the wistful, somber side but definitely worth watching.
Kinda unrelated but I think as fellow German you can/will appreciate this short Yoo Teo vid ๐https://youtu.be/rMhwRONr5oE
This drama cured my slump and I am absolutely OBSESSED WITH IT. I haven't swooned in a very long time at scenes…
which scene had you swoon the hardest? one for me it was when they hugged at the filming site and kang ho saw se na staring at them and said "just a little longer" and buried his face in her neck. MAN teo yoo's deep voice really got me i had to replay that for like 10 times ๐ญ also the first bed scene was INSANE
one thing i really liked too was what they did with the exes โ like yeah oh se na /was/ the ex that wanted to get back with the ML but the show didn't villainize her about it at all, she wasn't nasty to a stereotypical level about it (neither was mi ran) and didn't try any mean tricks or manipulative tactics to try and get the leads to break up. she was really just nothing more than the girl who had wronged him in the past and wanted another chance, but scarred him way too much emotionally. and the way kang ho and her reconciled in the end was really nice. and mir ran's ex at the law firm, well he was a two-timing cheater and while i wouldn't have a problem if the show villainized such a character, it was a nice surprise that he was the one who stepped up and exposed the "truth about mi ran" on tv and made everyone change their minds about her. which was honestly the best thing that he could have done.
i was (naturally) expecting petty drama at every corner but it was nice for once to not have that. everyone was just really chill and mature about stuff tbh. it goes without saying what a drastic difference it makes if you've got mature characters in a romcom ๐
i cracked up when the scandal about mi ran's dating life broke during the party and they all knew they were fucked and gathered at her place and were like, ah shit, let's just get wasted first. that was probably the most relatable moment in the show lmao โ sometimes you gotta gleefully ignore all your problems and deal with them later. very adult thing to do.
just realized that the director who doesn't talk character is literally just referencing the real director of this drama, check out the picture ๐ญ GUY REALLY PUT HIMSELF IN IT
i just binged all episodes and WOAH it felt good bc i haven't binged anything in ages. honestly, this was really good!!! v fun and enjoyable, an easy watch. i'm so happy it didn't disappoint or lose steam towards the end โ the 2nd half was actually better! if you're unsure about this, (bc it does take a little bit for the romance to get going) i'd say keep watching bc it was really worth it in the end imo. i was a little hesistant during the first few eps; i kept thinking if they maybe hadn't leaned a little too much into the whole she hates men/he hates women thing, but! it was the drama's theme after all and their personal reasons do get explained and it was pretty understandable i think. THE LEADS WERE SO GOOD TOGETHER. i really liked their relationship + communication. overall it was pretty well written and mature and the characters talked things out and there were no stupid misunderstandings or the like, just a fun time! i really liked the 2nd leads too and choi soo jin as well (she was such a queen). a clean 8.5 for me!!

been waiting for this as it's the song that plays during the hug scene ^^
