Title Reborn Rich
god i missed the frequent sjk content on his agency's channel so much!!
my favorite was the one where he tried ranking all the characters he played, like "what if all his characters were in an idol group" and him coming up with a whole narrative around that was hilarious lmao

So that's it ? There'll be no season 2 ? Please can someone answer me !
a season 2 is pretty unlikely if the rumors about the writer & production company having a dispute are true, sadly

So after watching the entire series, I'm having mixed reactions. While the first half of the series got me invested…
Just wrote a comment in the exact same vein as you lol! Glad that there's someone who feels the same, I really wish they had kept the vibes of the earlier episodes.
On One Dollar Lawyer Nov 13, 2022
After the ending I finally figured out why this drama doesn't work for me. besides the fact that they cut it short and eventually rushed things (the big villain had so little screentime before, it was hard for me to care about the final showdown – the actor's charisma kinda saved it).
What I really liked about this drama at the start was that it was exactly about what the title and synopsis suggested: a zany episodic law-comedy about a quirky lawyer helping out people that aren't well off enough to afford expensive legal fees. He's a bit unorthodox but ultimately a genius in solving cases and initially butts heads with the FL who's the complete opposite but ends up joining him and his office manager in solving the cases. Ensue a chaotic trio that works wonders together with great albeit underutilized chemisty between the two leads.
But in the end it wasn't really about all that anymore.
After the emotionally heavy, long, and extremely dragged out backstory, the show veered further and further away from what I wanted personally. Not that any of it didn't make sense – Jihun's origins had to be explored at some point, but the way they executed that and the suceeding episodes is where it started going downhill for me. Instead of helping out the little guy the show became more about seeking revenge for Jihun and defeating yet another corrupt mega corporation. Maybe the backstory was too tragic for the show's own good? The tone shifted dramatically here and there while still trying to keep up the silliness and by the end we got less and less fun interactions between the characters.
I think what I would've loved; if we had 14 or more eps, would be a nice episodic series where we see the main trio solving their one dollar cases and getting bits and pieces of significant character development/Jihun's backstory throughout. But alas. Of course a lot of it is to blame on SBS + how they handled it all and in the end the drama suffered from that, which is unfortunate.

Overall I still loved all the character's dynamics and bits of comedy that we got, especially Seo Min Hyeok who was an unexpectedly fun character! The actors all did an amazing job with what they had. But sadly the show itself ended up being something completely different than what I hoped it to be.

It will also be on Amazon Prime for the international folks, but then again that is only if you have prime 😙
I see, thanks for the insight! My dad has a prime subscription so I was thinking about using it for this show, I guess I'll just wait and see if they will release the eps on time or not. I had no idea that Island would be one of the first airing shows on there so that's interesting, but makes sense since they also only just started to expand their drama sortiment IIRC (idk how big their catalogue is compared to Netflix/Viki but I heard that Suzy's recent drama was on there so they're def trying to get new shows in).

i love the posters 🥺 such a calming vibe! also im siwan..... i am looking respectfully 👁️
overall really excited for this drama, ENA have only been releasing bangers recently and somehow most of their shows have genres/plots that i'm into so i hope i'll like this one too <3

Nice to see her return along with the other cast members! I hope Choi Jin Ho returns as well, though that might…
tbh i don't think i'd mind if he doesn't come back for s2 lol he got owned so badly in the s2 finale it would make him seem even more pathetic if he tries to do something again, and since doldam hospital isn't dependant on geosan anymore there's not much for him to do anyways. maybe they could have him do a cameo but i hope they come up with an interesting new villain/challenge instead ^^

Do you happen to know if Prime's K-dramas come out approx. at the same time as in Korea? I've never watched any drama on there but it always sucks with Netflix because new dramas there take like months to come out where I live (EU), whereas viewers in the US always get the episodes as they come out in Korea. And since I want to watch shows on-air, there's no other way than to watch them elsewhere :/

He is 37 years old, and they made him look like a child!so cute!!https://www.facebook.com/jtbcdramapage/videos/850865679451402
him, lee joon gi and probably a select few others are the only actors that are completely believable when playing really young characters lol

WE'RE SO CLOSE TO THE RELEASE!! meanwhile let me inject the trailer into my veins by rewatching it 23129 times. Seriously have y'all seen the newest one the way SJK actually looks like he's 19 is insane. Older actors playing characters that are way younger than them will always be kinda weird but idec when he does it, he's got the range <3
Also, for some reason upon seeing Jin Do Joon in his college attire my Vincenzo obsessed ass can't help but view it as Park Joo Hyeong in another universe 😭😭yep i still havent moved on what about it

Does anyone else feel like this should've been like a 24ep series, where most of the eps would have been episodic…
That's exactly what I had hoped the drama would turn out to be when I started it :( It's not impossible to do a great episodic format and still focus on the characters. It could've been something like Tomorrow but alas
