I don't want to believe this show is over I DON'T WANNA!!! I will miss this drama so much, died laughing pretty much every week and definitely didn't expext for the romance to be THIS good π Every character was so much fun and perfectly fits into this absolutely bonkers, insane slapstick comedy. This drama was a masterclass in its genre, everyone who says otherwise is wrong idc lol. And kudos to the writer's decision to include Aziz + to the actor who played him because he's probably my fav supporting character this year. His ending was brilliant!!
wait they don't actually have complete, filmed episodes that were just not aired, do they? o_oi assume they just…
i know that, but you said "unaired episodes", that's why i replied like that. most dramas are written and filmed as they air so they wouldn't just film two entire episodes and then scrap them because they suddenly want less episodes, imagine how much money going down the drain that meant.
that banner he unveiled lmao I was crying he's too hilarious. honestly it feels so short I think they should at…

Not a fan of the recent developments in all honesty π So he was gone for an ENTIRE year to reflect?? (Mari was literally me throughout this ep) I mean I get his reasoning but tbh it doesn't make sense to have this happen and kind of waste an entire ep just to have him come back like nothing happened, when there is so much they could have done with that time plotwise. Again I don't know how they're gonna wrap everything up without it feeling rushed in the end. (rant ahead)
I'm fearing a cliffhanger ending with room for a s2, which, if they're actually going to do.. in this case would be a blatantly obvious attempt by SBS to milk the show's success even further after they realized how popular it is. I can't help but think of EAW that also started to falter in its final run of episodes with some odd writing decisions and what seemed like set-up for another season and then left the series on an ending that (to me) felt quite lackluster compared to its great beginning. But here it's kinda worse because at least EAW had a thorough 16-episode run and here... well. One Dollar Lawyer is one of those dramas where I'd really love to peek into the writers' room.
Personally I feel like the decision to cut the show short mid-way + the way they wrote the flashback messed with the flow A LOT. The first 5/6 episodes were really good, case after case kind of scenario with a pretty consisent tone, goofy but suave and cleverly written all the way through but then boom β you're thrown into this incredibly heavy 2.5 episode long flashback that feels like a completely different drama, then back to the present again, yay silly shenanigans are back, but after that gloomy backstory, the shift doesn't really feel organic and it does really seem like filler because what did ep 9 do to advance the plot? After a giant monster of a tragic backstory like this is revealed it's natural to assume the succeeding episodes will build on it. But this is show is also kind of silly and we still need it to be silly so here is episode 9. Episode 10 - oh shit we only have 2 more left - we need to get serious with the plot. And it suddenly feels like a run against time to finish the story and we're sort of getting there but not really with the way ep 11 seemed to be going in a circle. And considering how many things there are left to deal with, I think it's inevitable it'll probably feel rushed by the end. But hey there might be a season 2 so stay tuned!! π
It's not even that it'd be bad to have another season. Some dramas are written with second seasons in mind (Arthdal Chronicles, Alchemy of Souls) and others get more seasons due to success but then at least know to give the first proper closure (Dr. Romantic). But if they don't manage to conclude the show well, then a season 2 in this case won't seem as anything less than a desperate attempt to stretch out the show's popularity and high ratings.
caught up on last weeks episodes and AAAAA THERE IS NO WAY THIS SHOW IS ENDING THIS WEEK I DON'T WANT IT TO EVER…
uuurgrhegdfdf na rae and sang sik are so <3333 :(( not only are they so funny together lol but their communication is so well written too like with na rae being such a tsundere type character you'd think there'd be so many cliche misunderstandings and everything and they do have them! but the way they sort it out together is so well done and doesn't drag either like it's SO GOOD other drama couples wish they could be them...
it seems like we probably might get to see S1 cast in season 3 because in S2, they keep talking about Dong Joo…
THIS! they kept referencing that 'oddball project' and dr. kim obviously wants dong joo, seo jeong and in beom on the team for that. even if they can't be there in full, they have to sort out a cameo for them at leastπ
I hope Kim Min Jae will also be present in this third season. Seeing that everyone confirms his presence except…
jisoo? uhhhh yeah not gonna say anything lol. that sounds fishy though because why would they offer her a mere nurse role? but oof i was really hoping to see kim min jae again :(( his character barely got into a romance and hasn't revealed his full backstory either. will be sad if they have to invent a reason for him to leave the hospital..
Lee Sun Gyun, Han Seok Kyu, Jo Han Chul, Song Joong Ki, Kim Min Jae and Yeo Jin Goo have some of my favorite Voices to listen to. Seo Ye Ji as well when it comes to female actresses. When they're deep, but have amazing range and can go from rough to velvety >>>> π
you will LOVE the s2 ending then haha! i was hollering because it was so awesome to watch. he truly is a despicable…
have fun!! dr romantic is a super bingeable show, it's one of my absolute favorites and i've seen it several times already. dr kim is such an iconic character :')
