Watched this as it was being played on local TV (bless you tele5 for entertaining me on boring evenings) recently and well it was quite bad but honesty pretty riveting to watch, considering y'know, the subject matter and all. Definitely won't forget some of the imagery - including the giant human garbage dump - it was slightly terrifying in an uber-exaggerated "what-could-have-been" type of way but also got so ridiculous I just had to laugh out loud during a bunch of scenarios. After finishing the whole thing there was mostly one thing on my mind: Oh how absolutely convenient it would be if complicated political disputes over contagious diseases could be resolved through epic staring battles.
Can anyone recommend me anymore dramas like this where the ml and fl have amazing companionship, trust and loyalty…
I'd recommend Happiness and Lawless Lawyer! Happiness is quite different in genre (more of a quarantine/zombie thriller but the leads are both badasses who have each others backs constantly. Lawless Lawyer is similar to Vincenzo with the ML being a revenge seeking lawyer with gang background + feisty FL who's also a lawyer.
"your lunch is right here" !!! When I tell you died?!?!?
π same I would've passed out right then and there if I was Gyeo Re. And then KTS going "you got me too" afterwards like he probably didn't get the hint hahaha
so I've only just had the time to fully catch up to the recent eps but WOAH..... i need a breather bc those two…
The fact that this drama is properly showing what an abusive relationship looks like! And with the abuser being female and the victim male at that? They really went there. How many shows are able to show that? And how they go about it as well like, Yoon Gyeo Re!! this guy, who once bottled up swallowed his own pain just as much as Joon Kyung does til now, telling her that "being sick is not something that needs to be hidden or endured" was CHEFS KISS (what he overheard from Yeon Joo! the impact she had on him!) And him, despite resigning to and having to put up with JK's unhealthy behaviour, still telling her that what she has is an illness! That she needs help! That it's okay to be sick and nothing to be ashamed of! ABSOLUTE CHEFS FUCKING KISS!!! And even if she doesn't want to hear it, it's something that she (and everyone in such a mental state, no matter how bad) absolutely needs to hear. And I LOVE how this drama makes that clear, like yes JK is horribly toxic, abusive and manipulative and nothing will ever excuse that kind of behaviour, but the show doesn't villainize her, she is ill, and she needs healing as well. And idc what y'all say but I genuinely hope that she's going to think about Yeon Joo's words and get help, maybe even eventually come to the hospice as well, or get therapy, anything, as long as she can out of the living hell that she is in right now. Speaking Yeon Joo; I love her so goddamn much. The way she made up her mind after speaking to Tae Shik, taking her favorite boxing gloves and heading straight to JK to deck her in the face and tell her The Absolute State of Things. IT WAS INSANE. Like yeah it was rough, but it needed to be done and said, and I love how she was even willing to let JK hit her and vent her anger, how she said she was willing to try and save her too. The amount of compassion this woman has. Everyone WISHES they could be her. And I forgot-- Gyeo Re getting the same tattoo as her??? I'm going to pass out imagine her seeing that? @DRAMA WE BETTER GET A FULL SCENE OF HIM SHOWING HER! And all that was just ep 9; very intense episode, but I cried buckets again with the whole wedding and all. I could go on with ep 10: YGR finally returning to Team Genie, him being all cute and happy to be back, all the heartfelt moments + flashback between him and KTS (crying even more tears I love their relationship sm), etc etc... But omg Yeon Joo saying "Your meal is right here" GIRL HELLOOO?? SOMEONE CALL THE AMBULA- oh wait Gyeo Re's sitting in it already.
so I've only just had the time to fully catch up to the recent eps but WOAH..... i need a breather bc those two eps were a LOT but they were everything I wanted and more!!!!! can we all agree that this show is insane like it's so good i'm out here losing my mind every week πππ long ramble ahead:
i just love how easygoing this show is tbh it's like a breath of fresh air for me after watching deep dramas over…
it's such a good palate cleanser right! I truly cannot relate to those people who only ever watch heavy shows/thrillers, etc./high profile dramas, like I NEED a drama once in a while that's just unadultered, dumb fun!
THE DEVELOPMENTS IN THIS EPISODE HELPPP π this gets more fun every week! the undercover missions are always…
-the club mission was so funny, i loved how they kept using the Youth Slangβ’ (not the νΉλ°λ€ and the κ°μ’μ lmao) + oh how i missed seeing slow-mo walks after sucessfull schemes -na hee finally joining in!! dynamic trio just turned into a dynamic quartet - the way both sunwoo and sera just left jin mo and na hee to their own devices while drunk, them having a one night stand, and how they acted afterwardsπ i did not expect this to happen that fast but i am welcoming it -"i'm sa na hee's personal lawyer" jin mo just straight up hanging up on sunwoo to stand up for her (what's nurse seo's brother from IYWUM doing here lol?) -kang tae joon insisting on staying in the bar and having it completely backfire at him had me dying -the sober one taking the drunk one home just NEVER gets old
and -is it just me or does the eunkang group logo resemble the internet explorer logo?

But who is HJK for him? i just see the first episode, i thought that he dated FL??
They were at the same orphanage, YGR protected her from bullies etc. and she became emotionally attached to him. YGR doesn't think of her as his GF but she does.
