Watching Big Mouth makes me miss the og king of revenge against the corrupt elite, ngl.
Ikr?? Big Mouth gave me the Vincenzo vibes right up from the beginning (which is a good thing!) :')) It's obv not the first or only one out there, but it really does feel like Vincenzo kind of set a blueprint when it comes to anti-hero against corruption type of shows. I wonder if any drama will ever be able to beat out Vincenzo in terms of giving the villains what they deserve in the end. I know it probably won't happen with BM since the ML is a proper lawyer and not all that morally grey but I'm still quietly hoping they won't just let the bad guys "go to jail" in the end and that'll be it. Like I need to see someone get set on fire LOL
edit: no fire, but park chang ho still came through in the endβοΈ
Lol only me who was hoping for joong ki cameo to be more significant for the plot??
It was rumored for him to be KGE's ex husband/con artist so I was hoping he'd be more involved with the plot too, but i'm happy he was there at all lol
SJK'S CAMEO AAAH - IT SAYS "PARK JOO HYEONG" ON HIS NAME TAG; THAT'S VINCENZO'S KOREAN NAME....Y'ALL IM ACTUALLY CRYING πππ Kim Hee Won ilysm <333
It will be interesting to see if she is beyond salvation or not. I hope she will also heal with team Genie.
That's what I'm hoping too π In one of the drama's posters, she is shown together with the Team Genie members and she was smiling. I'm pretty sure her conclusion will be positive and she'll find healing too (given the theme of this drama, I doubt it will leave her at the same state as at the beginning), but it will take her some time to get there for sure.
This doesn't feel slow at all to me? Probably because I find all the characters interesting a and their dynamics…
I think it's not slow even objectively. It's a story that heavily prioritizes its characters. The drama is going at a perfect pace for that. I'm not sure what people expect, for the show to be moving at Big Mouth-level speed? lol
me, yesterday: "there's no way this drama can make me cry and squeal more than this" episode 8: "hello."
no seriously I don't even know what to SAY π I am just a puddle on the floor right now. Every episode we get more to see of not only the hospice's patients that are being granted wishes, but also Team Genie themselves. The way the relationships are written feel so warm and the interactions between the characters always feel real and intimate. Despite there being many sad, even devastating moments, and angsty and tense ones too, this drama never feels heavy on the heart but consoling instead. It feels kind of fulfilling in a way? Not sure if that's the right term haha, but the emotional payoff is very grand.
Please please please go watch this drama. It's so worth it.
Not this appearing on the "upcoming shows" section π€§ This show actually coming out in a month feels kind of unreal?? Radio silence from Netflix about this for the longest time since filming wrapped I was beginning to think that the fact this drama even exists was a glitch itself lol. Hoping to see a trailer this month or else I'll fight Netlix. I've been extremely excited about this show because the premise + genre mix is so unique and barely like anything Netflix has put out when it comes to their korean originals so far (like,, COMEDY in a Netflix thriller??? oh damn we're getting ambitious here... Netflix you okay??) Also I just miss JYB on my screen ever since Vincenzo π Gear up y'all bc she's coming to EAT and will not leave any crumbs!
