i think most of them are probably not big on romance in general bc let's be real without it the show wouldn't…
me too!! it is often /because/ it's sub a plot that it hits so much harder because the writers know that they need to make every single scene, interaction and conversation between the characters count in order to fully convince viewers. and less is often more as we know ;)
insane sentence i just read on twitter about daon breaking the phone and giving it to bitna with bloody hands: "the way he was killing his conscience and handing it over to the devil, ready to make a deal in exchange for his life" πππ god..... IM SO INSANE ABOUT THEM
Ahhhhhhhhhh!!!!!! I need to wait another week?!!!! STFU
the week-long wait is actual torture π i usually dont really mind waiting but it's been so long since i've really gone crazy for a drama and its characters..
The scene where she sheds tears for the first time was so beautifully shot... especially since they have been…
it was so good i wanted to cry alongside her... i loved it too because not only was this inevitable like you said but also heartbreakingly tragic because now bitna is in a situation where she has everything she wanted - daon on her side and more chances to bring sinners to hell - but the cost is daon going to hell too, and she doesn't want that. she's been denying herself this for so long but now it's finally hitting her after he begged her to help him (and then kill him after that) that she doesn't actually want to live without him. these two are so doomed by the narrative but oh i love to see them going through it. i hope at the end they can be with each other somehow. man. i need a metaphorical cigarette after this episode :''')
i mean that detective mother figure for daon died so its so sad π but the fact that they'll be teaming up in…
HAVE YOU SEEN THE PREVIEW??? her cleaning his wound and him leaning in i thought the show couldnt make me more crazy than i alr am but we're actually going full steam now with the romance. i was kinda doubtful of how much they would play into it, but at this point both him and her are wayyy too deep in this! can't wait to see how these two doomed lovers will navigate the literal rules of hell π
So the netizens were right about DaOn hugging her was to place the tracker on her. Justitia got tricked!
but i still love how he insisted on telling her his words were true though, he really didn't wanna do all of it but had no choice bc he needed to confirm she's the one who did it :')
Park Shin Hye and Kim Jae Young served in the last part of Ep. 8 ππSo tastily done πWriters who wanna…
this is sooo true and it surprises me so much because this is the writer's first project, but she's done the enemies to lovers trope better than many other stories i know. and the part with daon being a puppy is on point - i read an interview and she said kim jaeyoung is exactly how she envisioned daon to be, aka someone who sometimes looks like a "wet puppy in the rain" π
caught up to both episodes and OH MY GOD. i knew the show was going in this direction eventually but i did not expect the absolutely earth shattering experience that last scene in ep 8 was. poetic cinema. i'm so gagged that i dont wanna comment on anything else that happpened but this show is giving everything i ever wanted and more i'm having so much fun with it. daon haters can go home or whatever idc i've been loving his and bitna's moments so much and their push and pull dynamic and true enemies to lovers arc is SO DAMN GOOD. the ep 9 preview has me even more excited and that last line about bitna either using daon or protecting him !!! the director said in a comment that the two will grow into a relationship where the both of them will protect each other, so rest assured we're gonna get some even better scenes with them. so excited to see wherever this goes!
what someone said in a comment below "hes so fixated on the idea of justice because he was never given that" is such a fantastic description of daons character
Omg THANK YOU these are my thoughts exactly. I donβt know why people feel they have to explicitly side with…
literally! he doesn't even know! and the victims don't get to see neither experience the gratification of the hell trialsπ and we are just halfway through the show people act like this ALL THE TIME nowadays when a show doesn't give them characters that act in the way they want to and that align with their own opinions immediately. i fear the quick-binge-streaming format has done irreparrable damage to our brains because why are people expecting everything to be spoonfed to them in perfect sizes right off the bat. character development and moral fluctuation needs to be earned in stories and shouldn't happen with the snap of a finger
