so i checked again and she does say "i can't wait to go there" so it's still pretty clear imo but the literal translation of the korean line is more along the lines of "i want to quickly wrap up work and go! (나 빨리 일 끝내고 갈래!)" which reads a little more immediate and determined i think. overall though it's very obvious they will see each other and be together it's just that at that one evening that he cannot stay since he's still a fugitive and came in secretly. but that doesn't mean they can't be together in the long run.
i've seen some people be a little overdramatic about their conclusion because kdrama fans tend to want clear-cut endings for their couples. chayoung and vincenzo are nothing but unconventional though so i never expected them to get married, bave babies and settle down by the end of the show lol. they can end up together in their own way

the eng subtitle doesn't quite convey it but she does answer him "i can't wait to finish work and go" after he tells her he prepared a room for her on his island. also the fact that he says that "villains never break up, even when they love" is very clearly a love confession. it's portrayed as an open ending so you can view it how you want but in my opinion they very much end up together. in an interview with the writer, he also confirms that they do and that it's a happy ending for them. so there you go :)

ALSO this so reminds me of while you were sleeping's main couple...with her thinking no one will ever believe her and him believing her like it's breathing. eueuegeghh

really do not understand the hate for both daon and bitna's emotional actions bc them both dealing with conflicting feelings as they can't help but gravitate towards a person with the exact opposite moral alignment as themselves is clearly the direction we'll be taking so yea just dont tune in if you think romance is out of place or won't do bitna's character arc any good bc it's kinda the point here

i keep thinking back to the scene with the both of them at the pier when daon cries because she said she'd believe him as a child. the romantic set up is sooo good. a demon who cannot help but feel emotions at the one human that sheds tears in front of them? as always its the non-romcom dramas that are keeping romance alive lol

louder for the people in the back ugh 😭 the way it's taking me back to vincenzo too like it's noticeable people have a hard time dealing with dramas where complicated morals are presented...

^^^THIS it's quite literally the point that he acts the way he does because he's just doing his job, but it's part of the story that as they fall in love one or both will slowly be wanting to give up their own morals in order to protect/be with each other. that's the exciting part so i also don't really get what ppl are on about. like god forbid there's tension and conflict between our two leads lol

역시 it's an sbs an drama that gets me out of my slump 😆 just caught up and it's so much fun!! i love their shows because even when comedy isn't listed as a main genre there's still so much wit and levity and it's always so refreshing. it's also refreshing in the sense of a true "cider drama" (more like cola in this case i guess lmao), which i've been missing since vincenzo. can't wait to see scumbags getting some divine punishment again. kang bitna is absolutely unhinged i adore her already and i can't wait to see the loveline developing <3
