Something is off with the drama, maybe it's just bad writing. I don't like the plot really, and read some spoilers from the novel below, and I already don't like what's going to happen.

I personally like the past handled like this and then the present later. Gives us full context and doesn't keep us guessing later (tho I had no issue with tff approach too. Both can be good)

I stopped watching after that, it was a big turn off for me. I'm sure she did apologize properly later but to me this part of her arguing with him AFTER doing all that was the last straw. Like ok, it happened in the moment the way it did, that's fine, but later she should not have acted like that at all. Imagine the roles were reversed in a way where he was forcing himself on her and then acted like that and said "it was nothing".
And after that scene ML had practically forgiven her.

I understand what you mean, but those people had protested before the drama even aired. So they protested WITHOUT watching it. After/While it was airing, no one said anything because almost every episode had scenes where police, govt etc were shown as villains. That's literally the point of the whole drama. The romance + govt is evil (doesnt matter if it was sk or nk govt).
