Again, love Amagi. Wish the setting had been chosen a little better. But agreed with others that it’s nice to see a series with characters who have the same desires and petty worries as actual high-school couples. Refreshing.
Seems promising. I like the whole start-at-the-end motif personally, and Amagi is adorable. Songs are great, setting okay, characters very stylized but generally fine so far, and it has a lot of the pieces. Interested to see where it goes from here (hopefully somewhere).
Tbh i am tired of watching soft porn in the name of skinship in bl industry. I mean srsly most of the ppl watching…
Not sure how this is related to the series, which had great romantic chemistry and genuinely erotic moments that built on that. What's objectionable is how much of the BL industry feels like an assembly line of tropes rather than something that produces works of substance with good character chemistry and distinct perspectives.

Some people really wanted a domestic bliss fantasy with no conflict, no realism, and no meaningful, useful engagement with the messiness life and love, huh? Boy, you guys sure know what makes for engaging storytelling...

The main character isn't a prepubescent child, and so this isn't pedophilia, though yes, that is a problem in Japan (and elsewhere). Also, once again your "facts" are off: puberty for males typically ends around 16 (though it depends), and the average age of first sexual experience in US for men is around 16/17 and around 19 in Japan (probably because many delay sex for personal and economic reasons). It is legal in most of the world at these ages too.
Sure, some people are "groomed" or manipulated at that age, and I agree same-age exploration comes with fewer risks. But the main character in the series clearly isn't being exploited; he's taking initiative and clearly has his own feelings, boundaries, and desires (as he explicitly states). It's one thing to object to a real problem and another to paternalistically tell others what they want or what's good for them. As long as they have information and legal protections, some people can and will be fine with an age gap like this. So fucking what?
some of yall are defending the pedophelia is weird ur making think ur a whole asss pedo urself gross the government…
This... is literally not pedophilia. Pedophilia refers to prepubescent children (Greek pédh = child). Loving a late adolescent is called ephebophilia (and, frankly, seems pretty common from even a glance at popular culture and history). The character is 17, which is above the national age of consent in Japan and most places in the world (though there is usually legal recourse in municipalities like Tokyo for those under 18 who feel taken advantage of). You can argue about maturity and individual differences, but... there is nothing inherently immoral about a 17 year old and a 27 year old if both agree. Just watch something else.
