Unfortunately, they tend to show what would’ve really happened with the secondary characters and show the fantasy…
An unnecessary realism in a fantasy world.

If we're talking about an ending where the supporting roles are sacrificed and only the main leads are happy, it's not a happy ending for me. I would also like to see a happy ending explicitly. I don't need to force it with clues and codes. This is not a Monalisa painting. Even though I accept the Extra episode as the finale because I prefer to think positively, we can clearly see that it was forced. I guess the scriptwriters realized that they were going to be cursed for the ending they wrote, so they made a 5-minute Extra in a hurry, but if they wanted to make a real happy ending, they should have deleted the battle scenes in the previous episode. The Chinese are already used to deleting a lot of scenes in dramas. So they could have been more convincing in those extra scenes.

What kind a fucking ending again. It took me two months to finish the show. Normally, a fluent Chinese drama would take me 3-4 days if I started it after it was over. I don't think it was as good as it was hyped. It was full of the typical female revenge and political intrigue that we see in every Chinese drama. I can say that I watched it for the male lead. I liked him in his previous dramas, and although this character was much more dominant and charismatic, I think Scent of time was a better drama among the dramas in which he was the lead. Although it was again female-centered and again his scene share was less. He didn't have a scene for 5 episodes in total here either. And Story of Kunning Palace, where he played the second role, was great.

In addition, they killed the three girls next to the female lead character (Jiang, whom she replaced, her maid and her brother's lover) and the two friends next to the male lead in vain for the sake of drama. This is another series where they can't give up their ridiculous habits. If I try to criticize, there are a lot of negative aspects, I'm still happy to finish it, but at least there should have been a fuller finale, without unnecessary deaths. What was the need for that war? If there was going to be a war, did someone have to die? The ending was ridiculous. They have to add mystery and drama and philosophize. I'm tired of these meaningless endings. Dear screenwriters please hear us now. We can't tolerate the slightest negativity in modern times. Life is already full of negative things. Don't deprive us of an fairy tale flow and finale.

Does it have to be a rape, what is this, you make me sick. Always the second women. And women always get pregnant from rape and that child is always born. They can never prevent this rape in time. And we always feel sorry for the second ones and we always feel bitter. First Dashing Youth and now this. Was that really necessary in this show? If these women are already willing to die, even if they are going to die, I wish they would dare and choose to kill this emperor just once. After all, her father is a scumbag and her family sold her out. What are these women thinking about? I can't understand why they can't deal with a dirty old man. A hairpin would have been enough to kill him. I'm watching this situation with nausea again.

My anger has also been tested here:)
More than being tested. I think if I were in that fight world, I would first destroy the hypocrites who are more kings than kings, the so-called justice hypocrites. That's why I don't like Hanyi either. They portrayed her well in TBOY, but I don't like her adolescence and fixed mindedness here. She'd get a beating if I were there :D

I agree with everything you said. I hate how unfair YDZ's life was. If he had grown up sheltered and loved with…
He definitely went through hell for this woman, but was it worth it, no. I'm definitely going to watch TBOY, I had to force myself not to start before I got halfway through this one. It was always on my list because of Li hong yi, but the reason I didn't watch it until now is that there was no quality translation in my language, but now because of this drama, sites will translate it too. Maybe I will wait a little longer for a quality translation, but I can't wait long. Especially after watching this, I really need its quality. Even if it's just to suppress the anger inside me. I'm sure I'll like it more, it's just really disturbing that the backstory is like this. The fighting world and the so-called fighters have failed in the Ye dingzi case. None of them look cool anymore like they did when they first came out. Even the white haired guy and his friend who took care of Ye's kid turned out to be more honorable than them. Only the old masters deserve respect.

Bullshit. It was a terrible show. Two-faced, brainless fighting world. The only solid character was Ye dingzi. He was definitely the star of the show. Other than that, Master Li's younger and older versions were great, and the old white-haired master. Fuck your justice. When obsessive, psychotic, vile emperors slaughtered his family, sacrificed the woman he loved like a pawn, nobody tried to get justice for him. And those who did were either too late or incapable. The so-called martial world united against him for a despotic bastard emperor. Where were you before. Fucking hypocrites. Bailu, who used all his strength to fight his friend, couldn't break the shield to save him? That's ridiculous. And the woman he loved should have died after all. Everything happened because of her stupidity. Suicide is not a solution, but the only decent couple of the show should have been together in death. She never sacrificed herself. It was good that she loved, but she never sacrificed herself for that love. Bailu was right, she shouldn't have left him alone. Stupid Helen of Troy. She's going back to the palace. Damn you too. She should have fought to the death. That's not sacrifice, that's cowardice. The bastards won again. Pity Ye dingzi again. He didn't have to die. They could have lived far away from every tribe. Things could have changed over the years.

I don't understand why this disgusting emperor is still alive. Doesn't it matter who you defend and why? He killed innocent people, so can only one person be sacrificed, wasn't he innocent, wasn't it his family, wasn't it his loved one? Doesn't it matter because he was the only one? The Buddhist monks who stood by and watched this are hypocrites, they predicted the events and did nothing and just watched. Fuck your justice. Fuck Prince Langya too, he couldn't get justice after so many years, he got justice after Ye dingzi died. He also put his brother, an obsessive bastard, on the throne out of stupidity when he should have been emperor. Who's he doing a favor for? Damn him. He was cool and charismatic but he showed how stupid he was with this decision. Ye dingzi was the only one sacrificed because of him. I wish I didn't watch it, now I'm going to watch the sequel Blood of youth with these thoughts but I don't know how to enjoy it after this back story. It's so unfair. Damn the screenwriter's pen. Damn the ending he's going to write. It was so frustrating. I want to say everything, I'm sorry, but I can't be gentle about it, because I put up with this show for 40 episodes because I had hope for the end and I didn't want to get spoi in The blood of youth. At least he shouldn't have died.

The drama has definitely gotten more exciting with the background story in episode 4. This episode definitely made my heart skip a beat. My gorgeous Lee min kim, even your geeky self is so cool. I can't wait for him to learn how to fight and get close to the leading lady. I want her to like him even though it's not romance oriented. I absolutely love the team. Heo sung tae's secret investigation makes him an even more charismatic ajussi.

The thing is tragic romances are part of Chinese culture, it's such a big thing there so it's kind of inescapable…
So yes, in a way I thought so too, I just wish they would show it to us, at least I hoped that he would return as a flower or an animal, just like in the other immortal themed series. So that we would know that he would gather his spiritual power, but anyway, even though it wasn't really shown, I thought there was hope in that way. I was just hoping to see him for another 5 minutes.

I don't know, that part was too vague. If it had been more clear that he would be reborn, maybe it would have been a happy ending for me. Since it was fantastic, I expected him to be born again, just like the first time. It was still beautiful. But as I said, I agree with you, I prefer unhappy endings where both protagonists die after the happy ending. At least this way they are together. In this way, it gives a less bitter taste.

Of course it was worth it, I can't judge a whole series just for the ending, but a happy ending was not impossible in a series with fantastic elements, it would have been much better.

The same goes for the drama in your profile picture. Till the end of the moon. I still love it, in fact I rewatched the lead scenes over and over again right after I watched it, but I don't like the ending. Maybe I would like it more if both of them died, but I don't like the idea of one lead dying and the other one living with it. There is a Chinese drama that I like precisely because both leads die, and I like it even more because both leads die. Otherwise it would be a bitter drama and I wouldn't like it as much, but I won't say the name to avoid spoilers. I think if everyone is going to die, the leads should die. I'm rarely satisfied when everyone dies and the leads live.

I realize it's part of their culture, they like things that are much more intriguing and frustrating, but they should think that it's not a big seller nowadays. As you said, the tragic endings were impressive in the time of Romeo and Juliet. I like historical and period dramas in Asian culture in general and I wish they would understand that happy endings give more pleasure to the viewer. Considering that we live in a pessimistic world, I would like to see at least happy endings in these beautiful dramas that are our escape from the real world. Of course, that doesn't mean that we will always see a happy ending, but as you say, unhappy endings are only impressive when they are inevitable. If it is not necessary, it is much better not to do it. I think a happy ending suits this series better.

P.S. : It is also a better ending for me if both leads die rather than just one. Of course after the happy ending :D
