The thing is tragic romances are part of Chinese culture, it's such a big thing there so it's kind of inescapable…
So yes, in a way I thought so too, I just wish they would show it to us, at least I hoped that he would return as a flower or an animal, just like in the other immortal themed series. So that we would know that he would gather his spiritual power, but anyway, even though it wasn't really shown, I thought there was hope in that way. I was just hoping to see him for another 5 minutes.

I don't know, that part was too vague. If it had been more clear that he would be reborn, maybe it would have been a happy ending for me. Since it was fantastic, I expected him to be born again, just like the first time. It was still beautiful. But as I said, I agree with you, I prefer unhappy endings where both protagonists die after the happy ending. At least this way they are together. In this way, it gives a less bitter taste.

The ending was too sad for me especially what the leads had to suffer. Their love was sooo pure and deep. They…
Of course it was worth it, I can't judge a whole series just for the ending, but a happy ending was not impossible in a series with fantastic elements, it would have been much better.

The same goes for the drama in your profile picture. Till the end of the moon. I still love it, in fact I rewatched the lead scenes over and over again right after I watched it, but I don't like the ending. Maybe I would like it more if both of them died, but I don't like the idea of one lead dying and the other one living with it. There is a Chinese drama that I like precisely because both leads die, and I like it even more because both leads die. Otherwise it would be a bitter drama and I wouldn't like it as much, but I won't say the name to avoid spoilers. I think if everyone is going to die, the leads should die. I'm rarely satisfied when everyone dies and the leads live.

I realize it's part of their culture, they like things that are much more intriguing and frustrating, but they should think that it's not a big seller nowadays. As you said, the tragic endings were impressive in the time of Romeo and Juliet. I like historical and period dramas in Asian culture in general and I wish they would understand that happy endings give more pleasure to the viewer. Considering that we live in a pessimistic world, I would like to see at least happy endings in these beautiful dramas that are our escape from the real world. Of course, that doesn't mean that we will always see a happy ending, but as you say, unhappy endings are only impressive when they are inevitable. If it is not necessary, it is much better not to do it. I think a happy ending suits this series better.

P.S. : It is also a better ending for me if both leads die rather than just one. Of course after the happy ending :D

Another frustrating finale. I don't know what these screenwriters eat and drink to be so pessimistic. There is a sacred tree, they should have resurrected with its power for their sacrifices. They have to make a ridiculous tragedy. We can also get emotion with a happy ending. A dramatic ending is not necessary to give emotion. The important thing is the process, I wonder when they will realize that. The series was good in general, but the ending is definitely unsatisfying. This is not a different ending. It's just a clichéd bad ending.

I’m just wishing they would change his tie assortment… his character seems to like navy and white/off-white…
He is always cute, but it is a fact that our eyes will shine much brighter if he changes his hairstyle and switches to cooler clothes (not necessarily a leather jacket, but a sporty casual style) :D

They’ve given him so many worse over the years I can live with this one 😂
Except for this and Because this is my first life, he didn't really have a bad hairstyle 😂 I love his messy hairstyles, but you're right, I'll follow him anyway 😂

The biggest problem with this drama is that Bian Luo Huan has been relegated to the second place. After all, Yue jin zhao is a being that came from nothing thanks to him. And in the end, he should become him. This part should be like Song of the moon. Luo huan is the main protagonist because he is the one who knows all the past and comes to change it, who creates another person out of himself. Unfortunately, the person he loved didn't care about him at all, she completely forgot about him, as if it never happened, and when she remembered the past, she didn't care, as if they had never lived before. Jin zhao was supposed to merge with Luo Huan or be a version of him that had to suffer in the mortal world like in Song of the moon and so on. I wish that when he created a person from himself, he would disappear completely and only Jin zhao would remain, maybe in the future he would remember his past as an immortal and that would be better. I'm sorry but in this way Jin zhao and Qi's love doesn't feel believable and enough. Xu kai I'm sorry but even though this drama is better than Wonderlanf of Love, it's still not a satisfying drama. Putting the original on the back burner while competing with yourself killed the romance in the drama that could have been memorable. My leading man is definitely Bian Luo Huan.

And the fact that they fed on the human beings to protect their own people in the first place is a ridiculous reason. They caused the problem in the first place. It's ridiculous that they use humans for the problem they created and then say let's save the world together.,,,

I finished the series but overall I found it unsatisfying in every aspect. I can say that the sense of mystery and curiosity made me watch it. The first half was better. It was too long and some things were too superficial. When the initial couple harmony disappeared, the romance also disappeared. All that was left was a pointless rescue scenario and a lot of loss and emotionlessness.

Good then the story is doing its job. Please don't judge the mother by what you see. In the end, you will see…
As I said, the mother's approach is a problem for me. She can punish, but the way she does it is important. You can't leave it for 15 years and then suddenly show up and be a mother. You can't expect everything to be solved with a magic wand, just like a miracle. Some things take time and patience. You need a more sincere approach. The mother was in a hurry to educate her daughter. Here is a girl who for 15 years has been uneducated, bullied and now continues to be bullied because of her past. It won't take a day to educate her. I think the mother was too impatient to discipline, she admits that already. But I had a really hard time watching the mother in the first 10 episodes.

Yes, this time the father thinks that his daughter deserves punishment. He says she should be punished to appease his wife a little bit. In fact, this is a move to soften her up a little bit and not to punish her too harshly, but unfortunately she doesn't like her daughter's reactions and this punishment becomes serious. There is some stubbornness here. When her daughter doesn't step back, she doesn't step back either. She doesn't think her daughter is proud either.

This is exactly what I want to say. The purposes of Ling buyi's punishment were different (both to make the girl realize her feelings and to show off to the ministers). That's why I emphasized the importance of the reason for the punishment. If a punishment has a reasonable purpose, even if it's really a punishment, it doesn't hurt your feelings. Because you know you deserve it. It wasn't exactly punishment here, but just an example.

In her case, the reason for the punishment is not fair. Because the other party is never punished by their family for what they have done. So this punishment hurts her feelings and her pride. She could have found a way to explain to her daughter that what she did would be a problem in different ways by talking to her, just like the empress. That's what she starts to do with Lou, for example. She tries to convince her daughter in different ways, not by beating her.

Thank you, too.
