Also, a drama isn’t just about one role. It’s a whole — and you have to evaluate its quality as a whole. Taking part in a mediocre script might give you something temporarily, but I don’t believe it has any long-term benefit. Besides, Liu Yuning doesn’t need something like this at this point. He’s already a popular and successful actor. I believe he’s reached the stage where he can make his own choices. But honestly, if I were the female lead, I’d probably sign up for the drama just to steal a kiss scene with Liu Yuning. I mean, who wouldn’t want to cash in on that kind of long-term perk?"

Please keep your 'brilliant' thoughts to yourself. If you can't handle opposing opinions, then you're no different than the Chu character or the female lead in the drama. According to you, only you're right, and no other thought or perspective is valid. In order to sympathize with such characters, you need to share some of their traits. In this case, no matter how much I try to reason like Nan Heng, if the other side has built an irrational wall of prejudice and closed themselves off to everything, then what I say will only echo back to me.

"If you're really that curious, there's no need to look far — just check out The Story of Kunning Palace, written by the same screenwriter. And if you’ve already seen it, maybe take another look. You’ll see how someone who comes back to life under similar circumstances behaves quite differently.

It's honestly hard to believe that two dramas with such similar themes came from the same writer. Either that, or the dear director completely wasted the script in this case. While Kunning Palace had a brilliant execution, this one is a complete mess — so much so that they apparently felt the need to provide an extra explanation.

Because clearly, we viewers are just too stupid to understand the show on our own, right?"

I seriously can't wrap my head around this script. Were you high when you wrote it? If you were, you should've come up with something better. What kind of ignorance is this? We get it — she’s in the script to take over Nan Heng’s role.

Seriously, Liu Yuning? What made you say yes to this drama?

It was a terrible, terrible, terrible, terrible scene. I had pinned all my expectations on the scene where the girl finds out, but it turned out to be one of the worst possible scenes. Once again, the girl took the lead. Nan Heng just accepted it like a cat. It's as if the team behind this show has never read or watched Pride and Prejudice. All the potentially iconic scenes were ruined along with this one. No scene can save this show anymore. I'll keep watching only out of curiosity. Please don’t try to argue — the scene was awful. Just awful.

They really must have thought, "How can we stretch this show to 40 episodes by filling it with pointless scenes?" Even 20 episodes would be too much for this series. There’s barely five minutes of actual plot; the rest is all filler. Such a strong production team—screenwriter, producer, director, art director—came together for nothing. What a waste of a high-potential story. I guess all the exciting events were saved for the last 10 episodes. I'm only sticking around out of curiosity to see those.

Also, congratulations on creating one of the most idiotic female leads I’ve ever seen. For 20 episodes, instead of thinking, “Let this story end so I can go back to my own life,” she’s obsessed with figuring out how to kill the male lead. What kind of stubbornness, narrow-mindedness, and prejudice is that—basically an execution without a trial. Even after witnessing everything herself. And then she has the nerve to ask, "Why don’t you defend yourself?" As if it's possible to reason with someone that clueless.

It's been 14 episodes and I haven't seen any progress except for the first 4 episodes. The screenwriter forgot the male lead of the series and the love that should develop with him. The script keeps going round and round with unnecessary scenes in the same place. 40 episodes yes, but there should not be so many empty episodes, the story should have a flow. I continue hoping that the scenes with Nan heng will increase. I hope the story will open up in the remaining episodes.

That's exactly why I don't like it. She should continue to act naturally and show her true feelings besides his masked state. This way Nan heng can see the real her, but I don't agree with the other part. She should spend time with his real self as she did at the beginning of the drama, and special crucial scenes should be with him. So she'll start to think a little. In masked hero productions, the scenes where she hates the real person and the protagonists clash are much more exciting. As it is, it just adds an ordinary feeling. When she talks to him in a mask, like she's talking to a cool problem partner. I want to see scenes with Nan heng. Nan heng inwardly falls in love with the girl through his masked self, and in his real Nan heng self he still tries to treat her coldly and badly, but he can't do it clumsily. I'd rather see him conflicted. I prefer to watch him bicker with her, cold and hard, and slowly break her prejudices against him with impressive exciting scenes. Because the mask is a camouflage, Nan heng is the main character who is affected by everything in the end, and now he's going to suffer for the things caused by the other idiot prince and the incompetent 2nd lead. If the girl only helps his masked self, who's going to relieve Nan heng's loneliness? Who will support him ? This masked part should not be prolonged and we should move on to the story of the main protagonists, otherwise the love part does not work for me. For such a big production and entrance, a beautiful and exciting romance would suit.

All the special scenes are with him in a mask. I don't like this part. There is no point in being with the character she already sympathises with, it would be nice if it was with the character she hates. She should see what the person she hates is really like. Let her continue to say her true feelings against him masked. In this way, Nan heng can see what she's really like.

Also, the definition of a male lead character by someone who comes from the modern world and has seen countless scripts, acted and watched TV series is ridiculous. While trying to make the girl smart, they dumb her down with these simple mistakes. She defines him as ruthless and can't be a good person, it's ridiculous. Sounds like the speech of someone who's never seen a lead character.

I want to see Nan heng scenes now. Although I had fun in some places for the last 4 episodes, I got bored.

It will always be my first and favourite version. I can't get tired of the rewatching. I've just finished another repeat.
