I can't believe I'm watching a drama with an actual intelligent, mature and (provenly) strong FL.
Look at that: she is smartest than the ML, she physically protects herself and people around her and most of all, she is NOT ANNOYING. All qualities reunited at once. I can't believe my eyes.
Damn, that's a lenghty albeit legitimate wish list... What about the Chinese drama Story of Yanxi Palace? It checks…
If you love scheming that much, you won't be disappointed at all ;)
I tried 6 flying dragons per @123girl recommendation, I'm only at episode 2, can't say much about it at this point except that I'm not that intrigued it for now...
Can someone recommend a similar show? I liked the following parts:- strong leads- strong side characters- slight…

"School / College romance dramas where the Male Lead is a walking encyclopedia and ice-cold, whereas the Female Lead is a foolish girl who always fails in studies and follows him foolishly."
I don't understand why little Tokita Kazu at the Christmas party held back her mother while crying. This attitude made her responsible of her mother not finishing her coffee and becoming a yurei? Can someone explain to me that part of the movie?
"Choi Sang Eun is skilled in different foreign languages, rock climbing, golf, fencing, and she even has Michelin-level cooking skills. " Dramaworld, I guess...
This drama will make you think a lot about the norms of today's society. In a nutshell, it deals about solitude and about the pressures society exerces upon us, be it in our jobs, in our relationships, on social medias, etc.
In itself, it is a classic Japanese drama like the ones we love and are used to: the slow-paced kind with endearing characters and life lessons that heal the soul. But it is nonetheless very enjoyable and worth your time. A noteworthy detail: the tone of this drama is realistic. So, no overacting and over-the-top reactions or anime-like comedy.
I was particularily impressed by the quality of the support and guests roles. Now that the drama has ended, I really want to read Shoji Morimoto's (the real Do Nothing Rent-a-Man) book to ponder about my own role in this society...
