Well, it's just the stupid Chinese entertainment circle targeting celebrities as always. But things will calm…
Lmao, they have nothing better to do with their lives. I feel bad for them, trying to destroy celebrities' reputation (and obviously failing). I mean, many popular upcoming Cdramas are experiencing hate as well. You Are My Glory is a great example. Yang Yang and Dilraba are both two of the biggest celebrities out there right now, and some haters inevitably want to just, you know, hate on them.
This drama did not received positive review from Chinese netizens. This make me so sad. They said Zhou Dong Yu…
Well, it's just the stupid Chinese entertainment circle targeting celebrities as always. But things will calm down eventually.
Look at Love and Destiny. Many people were criticizing the drama, the age gap, and the acting, but the rating on Douban is 8.3 (much better than other Xianxias) with over 200,000 people rating it. Nowadays, Cdramas with more influence and anticipation and more famous actors and actresses are criticized more because, well, this is how the industry works. But this more negativity also means that the drama is getting a lot more exposure than other dramas that have no outcomes at all. Don't worry about it, it's the first day, so people will inevitably be rowdy and wild. Just wait until ALP brings in the awards and love!
Every year, there has been a hit xianxia 2020: Love and Redemption/Eternal Love of Dream 2019: The Untamed/Love…
Please do watch this if you love those Xianxias, because this is what all Xianxia dramas should be: Amazing acting, captivating storyline, gorgeous CGI, props, etc, and beautiful OSTs. It will definitely go on your "hit Xianxia" list. :D
I'm definitely not a dropper, I've only dropped 3 dramas. But I really liked your article and the points you made as I found it very interesting how some people pick up their dropped dramas. I've only picked up one out of the three dramas I've dropped, and it didn't go so well. I also really like the three dramas you included at the end, showing your different experiences with different dramas. Cool how you dropped a drama only to pick it up and give it a 10/10!
DEAD NOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!Dear Bai Qian's voice and Feng Jiu's voice, would…
Lmaoo...yes, I realized that Hou Chi's voice is also Bai Qian's, but that didn't bother me too much. I'm more of a whatever-voice person, but I know the negative impact it has on some people. I'm more worried about the overall drama, how if something disappointing happens (which will be very unlikely), I will be the most devastated human on Earth.
I've come to the realization a while ago that this drama is so popular not because it is a masterpiece but because it is perfect as an introductory drama to Cdramas, Asian romcoms, and finally, Asian dramas. Love O2O was one of my first dramas, and many others' first, and I loved it while I was watching it, but as I explored deeper into the Asian drama world, I discovered many more dramas that imo were much better than Love O2O. But the fluff and no-misunderstanding parts in this drama is what beginning-watchers loved about this. I gave this a 10 at first, but my rating steadily declined as I analyzed the acting and story as a whole compared to other dramas. We were all beginners at some time, and I can relate. If someone asked me what their first Cdrama should be, I would probably recommend this even if I don't really like it because I find it as a perfect first Cdrama.
Love O2O is also one of the first romcoms that is pure fluff and also focused on computer gaming, and as it has been famous in Asian dramaland for so long, 5 years. Yes, there is hype, but the hype is from a good combination of tags and details that are perfect for people trying out Asian dramas.
I have a question ^^'Hate to love trope is between main couple or second?
The main couple. The second couple isn't exactly hate-to-love but a second chance romance. The main couple doesn't really *hate* each other in the beginning tho.
thank you for the share! i am unaware of xuanhuan as a genre prior to this article. it's the same thing when i…
The other three genres you listed are not prominent in Cdramas, but rather in novels. You can see that 3 of them, including Xuanhuan, have Huan, which includes Western fantasy elements. Western influence again. Thanks for reading!
