People have different opinions about this drama. As a die-hard Xianxia fan, I think the reason you thought that the drama was dramatic is probably because Xianxia is just not for you. And that's okay. If you did not like Eternal Love, I would not recommend you watch any other Xianxia romance dramas that are very popular on MDL, because they follow the same basic concepts. Kudos for finishing this, though! It's a rather long drama.

Honestly, it doesn't really matter. I would just say that you should watch both of them. These Xianxia romance dramas are all breathtaking, from the CGI to the costumes to the actors and the story itself. But if you really are unsure which to watch first, you should read the reviews and follow your gut.

I haven't rewatched this in a long time, but:
-They have their first "official" kiss on episode 34/35
-They consummate episode 48. (I'm pretty sure, but I am not fully certain)
