oh for sure, i agree writing wise this has become such a massive stinker, but there are actually well written fam dramas out there. My both faves are Five Enough and Once Again, which focuses heavily on the characters and relationships without any villain bs, as it should be

i honestly love to see the more determined cool side of Taekyung, which is still too tame for my taste but at least he has regained his try me bitch/fuck around and find out mode he'd lost in too much niceness for far too long. Gives him more facets than being a saint onlywho just takes the brunt of everything without complaining like a martyr.

the sfl in lovely liar has the biggest delulu debbie vibes, for sure. Same school of entitlement delusion and obsession, it is like kdrama writers use the same blueprint for SFL's all the time and it is annoying. I stick to Lovely boxer bc of ML who was in Once Again i just finished so i am (still) quite fond of him haha.

Also Uncanny Counter, Hidden Love and Bloodhounds but they are collecting dust in my to watch list atm than actually being watched. May have put them on hold for a later time.

Atp, you can all put on the incompetence of the writer, especially with her shell of a character since she does love him but it is pisspoor executed and i fully blame the script for this. And yes i was pissed too when she just dipped to her mother without giving her husband with SEVERE abandonment issues a heads up of her whereabouts. Good thing BN had a brain for once, cursing her daughter out after she called her SIL to let him know lmao. I feel YD is just made braindead at this point as thoughtless the hack of a writer makes her be, no hope left welp. But least she apologized at the end, so there is that. And i do wonder how their relationship looks like when they are together at peace for a longer period of time without EVERYONE stressing them tf out, so they can actually grow together as a family. Like a year or so. Would be interesting to see ngl.

I was super uncomfortable with the scene of poor haneul left to fend for herself with this toxic waste trashhead. They REALLY try hard into brainwashing us in "liking" this bastard, but it just makes me sick to my stomach at how MANIPULATIVE the narrative is aka LOOOK HE IS A GOOD GUY LOOOOK HE IS JUST LONELY AND WANTS A FAMILY. So i always hammer the ffw button in those scenes or my dinner would come out backwards, tbh.
