Oh i translated it too literal once more lol but i had the right idea. Ngl, I was like 911 I NEED TO REPORT A MURDER the time during this scene. Taekyung did not play, not a single second of it. He came, saw, and murdered this MF (verbally)😎

I think we are getting a kiss next week and initiated by YD no less. Reason(s) why i think that:

a) Halfway mark of the drama, traditional for smooches
b)Taekyung is rattled af atm, which shows in him being anxious, jealous, insecure and needy alike. (Remember first time for him being truly in love so there is a lot he is not accustomed to dealing with yet despite him been in relationships before. And tbf that situation is rather... unique heh)
c) Yeondoo has already recognized what is going on and will want to reassure him. So what better way than a kiss, initiated by her? 😁

Definitely more of a quieter filler episode, but also moving things along with heartwarming scenes and the JH/TK/YD conflict building up. Obsessive otter, who? We are back in the lock-less office that is more like a bus stop with how ppl come and go there. I feel the sudden need to start a go fund me for Taekyung so he can get a security guard, sigh. As expected meeting is very tense, unexpected is that fuckboi survives it. This time, anyhow. TK mopped the floor with that waste of space either way, just in verbal form. Lemme translate some bits and summarize others bc the multitude of details of the convo give my korean learner self a headache, whoops. Lets start with the opening dialogue:

JH:“Did you miss me, Dr. Gong?”
YD, over phone: Why are you not replying TK?
TK: There is an urgent patient in my office. Do not come in.”
JH: Funny, I am a patient now?

Oof, if looks could kill, fuckboi would have been six feet under. “How is Yeondoo?” Tk, while death-staring him down, which explains the silence in between: “Do not dare to use her name.”
Trashboi is amused. “Why? Yeondoo has been my girlfriend after all Long before you met her.” Taekyung is more and more willing to commit murder. “Now she is my wife. So you better watch your mouth/shut up.” Few more nuggets of TK being a king while JH is the fool in this scenario: “Is it true? You not being the father? and TK just laughs,ice-cold. “Amusing how you turn up, a month later to ask. What? You are still hung up on that?” JH doubts it due to the timing of it, how they met and boast how they were together, that their love is fake.(TK’s dialogue is very freely translated by me so many caveats and probs mistake here and incomplete… but that is the vibe I am getting from the words I understand) “Oh I know all of it. You betrayed her, abandoned her, but now where she found happiness with me, you crawl back, accusing me of this nonsense? How you met or your past with her is no longer relevant. She is my wife now. And It is my baby. And if you turn up one more time, either in front of YD or me, or even TALK to her, I am going to kill you. I warn you. Now leave. I have (seen) enough of your face, bastard. And as JH hesitates and stares at him he adds: What? You want to look at /be with the father of her child a bit longer? :D

Hello? Is this 911? I need to report a murder, daaaaaamn. I thought he would let his fist do the talking but he absolutely beat him down and destroyed him with words alone, hahahahahaha. Eventually trashboi gathers his limbs that has been verbally torn off and stumbles witless out of the office, or tries to, anyhow Bc YD texts TK that she waits outside, so TK pumped with adrenaline and even more testosterone stops him and orders him to wait. TK frantically shoves his wife into Hyunwoo’s office, much to her confusion. Just before the trash is taking itself out, of course. HW peeks out of his office, sees the back of trashboi and wonders who it was, but Taekyung has no time for that as he gets YD into his office, closes the door and promptly hugs her. Aww. He is more rattled by scumboi’s appearance than he showed. Very much needs that hug to reassure himself. I love understandably confused Yeondoo is about it tho. And like a cat who is just enduring affection put upon her, she asks after a while: Okay, I get you are tired and all but how long are we going to stay like this? TK’s face brightens at her cat/grumpy self “Just a moment longer.” There are some more details about Jinjja I did not get in between tho. He lets go and they decide to go home together later on. And omg THE WAY THIS MAN LOOKS AT HER is everything. Some stellar acting/expression of AJH here really, bc it is giving me all the butterflies and I am crying at how much in love TK is with her. Not a fan he keeps the meeting a secret, but I get his impulse to shield and protect her from it all.

We are back to the infernal duo and the baby question/sperm donation, again. Trouble in paradise etc Since I almost wrote 1k of words on the TK/JH scene I won’t dwell on it much. Just lemme say while I don’t like the couple, I do appreciate the show giving room for the topic of unfulfilled wish for a child and leave it at that. I like how they support each other thru it, I said and they start to fight, whoops. Oh well. Moving on.

Seems like a long day for our Jinjja couple as both are plopping tired onto the gaudy couch things. I mean we know it was a long day for TK indeed with being shaken up by that asscramp appearing in front of him. As said I get his need to protect her, but I am not a fan of him keeping the encounter a secret and here topping on a few white lies (it was a weird patient, so I did not want you encounter them, which yeah kinda the truth) He is also asking if she has gotten some weird texts or anything of the like which she denies and understandably wonders what the hell is going on. He wants her to tell him if that happens tho. Poor guy is really rattled atm. I mean I am no man, but I imagine you having the actual biological father of the child the woman you love is carrying turning up all the sudden and him now being around again, so to speak, has to fuck with your mind and wreck at least some of your confidence. Especially when it happens during such a tender still so new time of your relationship. He needs at least ten more yeondoo hugs, I say.

Trashboi is raging in his hotel room like the impotent gnome he is, still smarting from the complete verbal takedown. His ego is the worst hurt part, bruised and battered beyond repair, hence why we are going to him turning things up to eleven now with him egging on TK further and further, I guess this guy is a masochist and/or has a death wish, but I am all for him being trashed and non-recycled by Taekyung. Whiny winnock is activating her singular braincell to think about who could have sent this smart life advice/hack of not trusting her. Which CS already does not as much as he leaves without her unhelpful help. Jangho turns up at the firm and has the most interesting talk with daddy dearest about his hellspawn. I think CS knows the note is from Jangho? Tells him he has not seen the hellspawn since the divorce but should have done more. CS: She did not go to US bc she has not given up on TK yet despite him having wife and a kid on the way and that must be due to how the marriage failed. I think he apologizes for this but also said it can’t continue like that. Will add more details later.

The whole school pres arc is not terribly interesting to me tbh. It offers some good development opportunities for gran with Yeondoo and also Bong Nim while butting heads heh. For now it is more about Bong Nim catching feels and furthering the messiest version of a family tree to become reality, hahahaaha (blunder bee being sis in law with TK and step sis to YD hahahaahhaha) Jang ho is opening up about said hellion minion I think he is going to act more now regarding her. But for now he is understandably said how it all went, this heartless shrew treating him. It is ironic he is telling all this to YD’s mother about his spawn’s obsession with a guy, her lies etc hahaaha, omg the writer is really a sadist here.

And I am cackling. In the tutoring hour in the annex right after, YD tells gran not to wink at her again bc it is too sus and instead focus more on learning hangul. Granny wants YD to help her win the election and we get a bit of her backstory for the reason why, but I ain’t going into that now bc there is a golden retriever arriving. With the biggest YEONDOOOOOOO even, Tk rushes into the annex and up to her, hyper as ever. And omg he came back back bc YD did not sent him off to work… the proper way. Which means he wants a kiss and he is so ready for it, hahahaha but Yeondoo just fixes his necktie harder with nearly choking him, probably, most likely as a warning to stop this nonsense hahahaha Do this again and I am going to kill you… and this puppy looks at her as though she had just declared her love to him. Lmao, he is getting so used to Yeondoo-ish that he is translating into what she really means by now He laughs and tells her it is okay he does not want to make her uncomfortable. So cute. Gran used the opportunity to book it and get out of her lesson tho hahaha.

I am skipping the whole school pres election thing but gran is not playing fair in throwing gifts at them haha. Love the bickering between her and BN tho and how she has to eat a humble pie in apologizing. YD tells her on the way back that she is rooting for gran and she should study hard to reach her goal, which is an adorable scene between them. Not so adorable is how angry her mother is with YD about rooting for “the enemy” and calls it quit on her being her daughter until the election is over. Whoops.

The one thing trashboi is good for is hating illusionary imp and torturing her during work hours, I give him that. He wants her to be in his team (lol) and the hellion circus meeting commence then on the roof with them bitching at each other but what else is new. I am really pressed for time so I am skipping this repetitive nonsense. It seems JH does tell her TK is really the father or something and he definitely targets TK now. Oh how fragile that ego is lol.

More grieving of one part of the abysmal duo for a child that not is, and her sorting out, throw away bags she bought to fill the void. YD and gran are coming back together, which she remarks on, lol. YD: we met outside. Sure sure good thing you are not Pinocchio, or else you would have a prob, Yeondoo. Lol. SJ wants to give her garbage pile of bags to YD and it goes over just as well as you think it would. It ends in a huge fight bc to rile her up YD picks the one bag she has not offered and goes “this is more my style than the others. As payback for her implication that YD looks shabby. You can’t have it. It ends in a bigger fight that need to be bc YD knows where to hit where it hurts, so SJ goes tattling to granny… only that she tells her to apologize to YD hahahahaha. Things are surely changing in the gong house and for the better. I also see a redemption arc for SooJung being set up.

Hee is ghosting DS it seems. Skippety skip to the scene of the leads. Because time is an issue today, sorry. Aaaaand there it is, the return of The Photostrip™, the famous ship artifact is now very much endstage-upgraded into a fitting frame and placed on TK’s desk as he giggles and smiles at it like the fool in love he is. HAPPY END YALL WE CAN GO HOME, haha. I think TK would love to do the same but uncle calls him to invite him for a drink and whine about his unlucky love life. This man can no longer relate as disgustingly head over heels he is, but he still listens patiently to his inlaw’s woes. Nothing of value here outside DS’s drunken request that TK should never abandon YD like he was by Hee and TK nods in agreement.

And we see it stays with him, because after coming home the first thing he does is hugging YD tightly. This time YD is so worried she even hugs him back aww but he deflects her question if something is wrong. “Nothing, don’t worry. I go wash up.” But of course Yeondoo knows this is bull, and keeps wondering. Cut to Taekyung getting ready to lie down in the chair of hell when oooooh Yeondoo is not in the room as she is washing up. Yeondoo however is not, and asks what he is doing there. Well, YD aren’t you already pregnant? So you should have some sort of idea about it. Only well this is kdrama and family drama on top, so it is the innocent variant of sleeping together of course. He scoots over and pats the space he freed and she is not having it. So TK pulls her in YES. Do you hate it so much to be with me? That is not it… hahaa guuurl I know you love it and want to cuddle with him so stop playing coy :D Gosh the way he looks at her, perfect set up for a kiss tbh, but we can’t have that yet. His words of affirmation ( don’t go anywhere/leave/i won’t let you leave/stay with me (see the prob with korean so many interpretations possible haha) “I won’t let anyone take you away from me. And the ardent tone with which he says it, makes me crave a cigarette, swoon. That he came to stay shows in him just taking her into his arms as though he had slept with her in a bed forever and it is so cute how he goes. Next to you, is where I belong/am happy, which helps to relax a still bit awkward/tense YD “I love being next to you most too.” Awwww they are so married, only not really, alas. “Well, let us sleep then and tucks her in and she cuddles up to him and WHAT EIGHT WEEKS are you kidding? This is like day four or so of married life. They are such a done deal you cannot tell me otherwise. Also lets have a DESTROY THE CHAIR OF HELL party because it is no longer NEEDED. From now on it is bed time, for both, always. I could not love it more, but Taekyung certainly does here. What an upgrade from the 3 am awake oh god we have to sleep in one bed night too, as he is now happily finding sleep next to her instead stressing about her being next to him. Progress baby.

Trouble in paradise with oldest couple, asshole bro is drunk as a skunk and has no time for wifey’s complains lol This actor plays a drunk person just as well as I would tho, sorry, as he weirdly slurred his monologue of YD and TK being assholes bc plot device gotta plotting since trashboi is present. So if JH did not know about their relation yet, he knows now that TK is part of this family. I don’t have much hope for the company too bc fuckboi is going to build up his ego in trying to overtake or destroy it. But I guess this has been the plan all along? Idk, nor care much as long the leads are good and safe lol. Fuckboi drunk-dials cruella clown bc he is frustrated and I am all here for her night made to a hell lmao.

TK had a much better one but also his shoulder hurts and maybe the man has to pee who knows so he tries to untangle himself from YD without waking her which is very cute. Especially the faces AJH makes as he contemplates how to get out of there. He should not have bothered bc YD is awake and cheeky as she grins and he is like “you are awake… so get off” and basically throws her off his shoulder to massage life back into it and his arm haha. God they are so married, I can’t as they continue having cute banter and I think TK declares he is going to sleep in bed again next night and YD does agree, surprisingly (or not who knows at this point with these two goobers) but the giddy laugh he lets out at the end is the cutest and with it Taekyung is officially the winner of the bed battle 2023. Congratz my man, may many nights of cuddling (and more 😏) follow your days.

The most relevant thing of the breakfast scene is YD getting to know of SJ having lost a child so she feels bad for going off on her like that. TK and his sister YM leave together bc YM has an invitation to SK’s house, which oh well, is the house of his inlaws. The talk in the car about SK and DW is a bit bizarre bc TK does not know she is talking about his inlaws and I think the writer really loves doing this shit, bc it is the second or third time he is setting things up like that. I get it, cackling along as he writes the MESSIEST family tree, I do it too, just minus the penchant for family tree disasters. But question is would TK not see the home when driving her there? Idk man, need subs here. It is infinitely amusing how she as inlaw is introduced to the family by her inlaw niece (???) but hey lets just roll with this tangled ball of yarn haha.

Asshole bro wakes up in JH’s room so that are at least three ppl who have done that by now hahaha. JH is ghosted by manic sasaeng fairy. They are really hunger gaming it out. good for them. Moving on.

To YD apologizing to SJ and getting support by gran and inok to do so. It is sweet. I really love this scene even if I keep it brief here. Basically YD apologizes for her harsh words and tells her that she lost a twin and thus she understands how SJ is feeling with having a miscarriage. It was such a nice scene, however sad, seeing them gaining some sense of understanding for each other at last. SJ even wanted to give her the bag YD picked out (which YD just had done to rile her up lol) which aww. They ended up saying that they gonna have dinner together with TK/the husbands. YD is really working on assembling her avengers for Jinjja. Like if Yeondoo continues being every family member's therapist like that i would not be surprised if they go "oh yeah Yeondoo/Taekyung we totally understood why you both did that. What matters is that you love each other now. Lying is bad tho, don't do it again. But now let's group hug it out. Jinjja avengers assemble!" at the truth revealed and dublicious dumbo is not just gonna be chased out of the gong house but South Korea on top of it 😂

More push and pull clowning between hellion circus, where the one demon calls TK to make a point and the other cuts the line. Yawn it gets tiresome to see these two assholes.

So it is good we cut to something wholesome which is our leads meeting up, but of course it is the end of the episode so things do not stay wholesome. TK immediately noticed that she has cried but she does not linger on it. I am not sure how this fuckboi even HAS Taekyung’s number but I guess plot device gotta plotting. TK is unsettled as hell asap by the call but still unwilling to share his burden and insecurities with YD. TALK WITH HER TAEKYUNG. You are so so so so good in it otherwise, don’t start this secrecy bullshit now. Since YD does not let go, he comes thru after all and starts very slowly and nervously to tell her about… well the guy in front of the elevator door that is opening up. Three times, for shock value. And YD sees who he meant with “there is somebody…” DUN DUN DUN Hahahaha this is as classic as soap opera set up gets honestly. I bet it is far less dramatic in the actual episode than it is made out to be here too. Since Yeondoo won’t even stop to speak to the ex scum, I bet. Her focus is now on TK (and her kid) alone and this jackass who told her to abort two times has the significance of a gadfly anymore. Which of course will further rankle trashboi bc his ego is as fragile as wet tissue paper. But oh well I am not worried, I just need Yeondoo to reassure TK a lot bc JH for better or worse is getting to him.

Good episode overall, lot of quieter character things so not as exciting, but a lotta things being set up. Jangho sharing deets with CS about hellionspawn, TK put in a frenzy to protect YD and their kid, which will only strengthen his resolve to step up and quicker at that. And YD has gained understanding and a new former enemy as possible friend. Plus the whole alliance with granny, so she is not far from ruling that house for real now. BN and Jangho continue to work on creating the messiest family tree, so does YM for that matter and all of them without knowing. Good times. I am just not sure why the eight weeks deadline is even there anymore as much in love TK/YD are already, but oh well.

gonna start write my summary soonish when kisskh is coming thru (stream was a bit stuttery, missed things) But today was pretty much a filler eps with some heartwarming scenes and character things. So not the most thrilling episode but still nice watch. Most important thing it did was setting up the JH/TK/YD conflict to further the leads relationship/TK's resolve to protect YD & Jinjja from the trashman. JH's sudden appearance rattled him more than he wanted to admit, i think.

I love how smart and especially emotionally intelligent our leads are, ngl <3 (minus that brief phase where both were idiots in love for each other, pre confession, of course. But hey that is in the past now heh)

I get that he is in full protection mode after meeting the scumbag, but I was still the whole time yelling at Taekyung to TELL HER about it, dammit. But as always the writer did not draw out any secrecy as it was revealed at the end of the episode, bless. i bet YD is gonna chew her trash ex out after the first shock, or rather not giving him any mind at all and dragging TK away. I think now it will click for her why TK was so frantic at times and i hope she can reassure him as TK is more rattled by it than he led on tbh.

Overall JH is just a tool (in every sense of the word lol) to push the leads together thru inducing an "us against him/them" mentality and most importantly it forces Taekyung to deal with the question whether or not to step up as a father much earlier and then to fight for it. As we have seen he is already more than halfway there tho.

Really liked the scene between SJ and YD, very touching and something you only get in family dramas imo. Hope it is a new beginning for them now and tattlecow does less tattling so i can start using her real name haha. YD is really the much needed glue that brings this fam back together haha
