OMG such a wholesome episode yall. So much otp goodness and TK/YD turn out to be my favorite kdrama couple of 2023 bc they are so stinking cute together and I love LOVE LOVE their grumpy/sunshine dynamic so so much. Come squee along with me as I recap the episode. Leads have my main focus as always, and my korean is still shit as always, so excuse any misinterpretation of scenes. You know the drill by now :D

We start off with the last minute of last episode and TK is taken aback by the suggestion to the point where he asks her if she has feelings for him. And we are holding the breath along with him before YD admits “Yes, I like you.” 🥰 WHOOOOHOOOO we got a confession at last. His joy about it is shortlived bc she basically planned to leave without ever telling him that and he is upset about it, enough to leave her sitting there. I can understand his reaction, but thankfully YD is quick to follow him. To me it sounds as if she is more worried about him here, her being pregnant and afraid to feel this way bc she does not want to burden him. But these feelings developed without her wanting to, nor being aware of them (we know she realized them just last episode for herself) so she does not know what to do now because she has to consider Jinjja first and foremost and starts tearing up. TK is so good here in meetin her emotions halfway. (Omg, have I told you all how much I love the emotional intelligence of this man? It is so so so so attractive to me guuuuuuh 🥰🥰🥰) He agrees to her suggestion says if you want to leave due to Jinjja in two months, you can. I won’t gonna be a jerk about it. Then with taking her hand he adds but I will make it so that you not want to leave.” OMG our otp dating era starts now and I am SCREAMING.

On the drive back, he takes her hand and they smile at each other and those two will be my sugary death before the fifty eps are up I swear. Their chemistry is such a good one, not blazing full of sexual tension or so, but so comfortable warm and adorable, like two people who unexpectedly found love along the way, while never having looked for it. Just two kindhearted people finding support and appreciation in each other after suffering on their own for too long. I love them so so so much. He lets go to do the famous “I don’t have my phone, have I lost it? choreo we all know and do xD so YD calls him and it is in the car along with them. Ofc she sees that he still has not changed it to Wife yet after raising a storm on her changing his name to husband on her phone. So she is pouty about it and he promises to change it. They talk about his family after that and how she cannot believe that he was never on a fam portrait with them, but he tells her that it does not bother him any longer. He is more worried for his mother. She tells him she wants to see them all in a fam portrait together the next time, aww. He takes her hand again for the rest of the drive (I love how very obviously green screen it is lmao)

Chan Sik has a sleepless night due to the very sound life advice of not trusting deceptive clowcreep. Meets asshole son when he goes for a glass of alc, I don’t care about the rest. Neither for the infernal duo having a late night talk. He still want a kid at all cost as he is afraid to lose out and urges her to think about his suggestion of a sperm donor. Moving on.

TK has not let go off her hand ever since and even back with YD nearly conked out he does not let go either. She is complaining about him being such a puppy in love (let go, our hands are already sweaty) She is definitely the grumpy one in their dynamic hahahaha. TK stops her when she wants to go to sleep, bc he has to follow through on his promise to change her name on his phone first. And his on hers too. Change he does, and takes his time to consider to what. “Oppa, honey, darling, but a very tired YD is not in the mood to humor him with such mushy nonsense so they settle on husband and wife in the end. And as we have seen in the preview he does so with as many hearts in between the name he could squeeze xD So it now reads “Gong❤️Husband❤️” on hers and “Oh❤️Wife❤️ Yeondoo is not impressed and rather like “uuuuggh those hearts that is too corny” 😂 “Can I change this?” and he is like NO NEVER, I will be very angry with you if you do, so she gives in bc she just wants to go to sleep. And I kinda doubt TK will let his tired wife rest so soon tho, as excited he is atm, like having drunk 10 cups of coffee, only here it is 10 cups of love. Such high golden retriever energy hahaha. He wants to go outside with her for a bit still to spend more time with her, but YD is like “lemme sleep now or I will murder you in yours” (not really but that is the vibe haha) So he is left behind with the most pouting puppy expression ever and goes “she is so mean” :(((((((

Back in his room and the uncomfortable chair, of course hyper hyper taekyung is too wired to sleep, so he gets his phone to… call her. Yes, he calls her while being one room apart I just cant with this puppers. YD half asleep takes the call and he goes “IT IS MEEEE :)))) while she is just WHAT NOOOOOOW? (lemme sleep dammit) and I could not love this dynamic any more hahahahahha. He wants her to call him so he can see her name as “Oh❤️Wife❤️ on his phone and happily reads it one by one when she does comply to his wish. He is so so whipped, omg. Ofc there is the thought of the time limit sneaking up to him, but he pushes it away. But the how he does it omg (she wants to break up in two months and i like her that much? Gosh i am pathetic. awww nooo you are just whipped and in love as hell nothing wrong with that. Will aid you in fighting for her, my guy. Meanwhile YD is just WHAT IS HE DOING WHY IS HE NOT PICKING UP I WANT TO SLEEP DAMMIT.😂 But of course he calls her back and YD is ready to eat him alive at this point to get some rest, but he mullifies her with wishing her a good night, like the cute, attentive head over heels puppers he is, awww. YD is definitely not used to receive such honest attention/affection, which tells you all about her fuckboi of an ex you need to know tbh. Both smile like the cuties in love they are, especially with YD this is so nice to see.

Next morning YD meets inok in the kitchen and offers to help her cooking. “Isn’t is difficult doing all of it?” Inok admits that it is at times but that is just how things are, which makes YD sad. Inok cheers her up, and together they go on to cook something tasty for Taekyung, aww. Meanwhile the puppy is left behind again and not amused about it hahahaha since he wants to go have breakfast together with her. And also stay 24/7 at her side for that matter, so he calls and his new phone name pops up next to Inok where YD’s phone is. His mother is amused about it and teases him but since it is not YD Taekyung has no interest to humor her and hangs up on her mid-sentence. He is in full “if it is not about Yeondoo I do not want to hear it” mode adding to his “if you are not yeondoo why are you even here/i have no time for you” he is already operating on ofc 😂 He appears in the main house, pouty to YD about him leaving without him and his mother is basically “wow I never have seen you like this” so he reacts flustered. Too cute.

Sourgrapes comes in and is again her rudest self to Inok telling her about couple yoga later on, what else is new. And Yeondoo is giving her the stink eye for it “again, so angry and needlessly rude” and tells her to shove it because Inok is not her maid and she should have some respect. So of course sourgrapes reacts with underst….who am I kidding she is like “come let us hash it out in the main hall” and expects YD to back down (lmao, really remember when you were chewed out the last time by her?) When you are afraid you can leave” YES QUEEN tell her. Again sourgrapes reaction is in line with the rebellious toddler that she is bc she screams, highpitched, alerting everyone to her position like a shrieking batman. I hate her, but they are forming up to have a very amusing rivalry, leading to being besties in the end I bet. YD is defending her mother in law spewing facts about how badly sourgrapes is treating her, and TK is of course at her side, while on the other there is HW, so this is gonna get chaotic hahahahahahah. The others watch on with a mixture of apprehension and gimme that popcorn, especially when sourgrapes lunches herself to grab a fistful of YD’s hair. THE HAIRPULLING IS BACK. I REPEAT THE HAIRPULLING IS BACK THIS IS NOT A DRILL hahahahahahahah 😂😂😂😂 this is so wonderfully chaotic with TK trying but failing to save wifey and YD taking it up a notch in grabbing two fistfuls of Sourgrapes’ hair. I love every second of it, especially due to when they are separated at last, it is Taekyung and Hyunwoo who go at each other’s throats to defend their wives. And those two like each other normally hahaha, so now imagine the complete slaughter TK will do when it is trashboi instead who tries anything with Yeondoo. In the end, they are separated too and they leave the house. That is the kind of makjang I want to see, bc it is hilarious instead of infuriating.

Skipping sourgrapes couple, I don’t like them. Back to a still furious TK who finally recognizes how insane his sister is haha. He immediately switches to husband mode and fusses over YD in worry. Especially regarding Jinjja which is a nice touch here. He is so cute brushing her hair, worried.
