Wil.E Coyote of kdrama... i am cackling πŸ˜‚ πŸ˜‚ πŸ˜‚ (it fits so well tho)Btw the actress already is apparently…
oh no, it has nothing to do with TRHC and all with the actress playing rotten delulu dingo landing her first lead role in a sageuk kdrama. Sageuk are historical kdramas, so it is far away from family dramas as it gets. Well you could argue that it is a royal family drama almost always tho πŸ˜‚ (if you watch sageuk, you will get the joke here) but it does have nothing to do with weekend dramas or TRHC other than there is a slight hope that the whiny worm gets written out earlier bc the actress is going to have scheduling issues with her other project otherwise. So sorry if that was confusing, heh.

So how it was???
yeah i think it is a show that gets rolling later on (since it has quirky interesting chars), but i was probably also not in the right mood to watch it at that time. Ah well that is what the on hold list is there for after all. I will give it another chance when the mood strikes :)

I have yet to pick it back up, tbh. I may give it another try soon tho, but rn i am as busy with other kdrama as it is hehe

Sorry can't relate. The leads are my favorite drama couple right now and i am excited for this new chapter in…
aww thank you, that it too kind πŸ€— And yeah TRHC has been my first weekend drama too (until i finished Five Enough too, that is) and picking it up has been drama-wise the best decision made this year for me. Since i obviously enjoy it a lot, mildly put, lol.

Good thing i love the whole "this is a fake, mutual beneficial relationsh... oh shit i am in love how did that happen" dynamic/trope too much. So despite its many episodes, it was impossible for me to ignore this drama to begin with, hahaha.

Idk, the actress hasn't said anything of the like, just posted a picture with palace buildings left and right framing the blue sky on insta. So her already prepping for it is just rumors for now i should add. Could change the further the summer advances tho. TRHC runs till september still, so there could be some scheduling conflicts coming up. We will see. Keep your fingers crossed for it tho, so the dream of SJAF being zero minutes in an episode can come true πŸ˜‚

I actually thought about which way the story will go and tbh, narratively the separation after that point is more…
I think for the best "ooompf" effect dramatic-wise it would make sense to have it happen, before YD moves out. I would loathe if their eight weeks are cut short tho due to psychotic hellspawn and filthlord meddling however, so however that Big Lie comes out i hope it is not thru satanic sasaeng. And if it comes out, please only in the last week of that new deadline, since they really need that amount of time to grow together/deepen their bond/affection for each other.. Particularly for YD, so she will miss TK after the split and worries about him after hell has been unleashed on them.

Imo, her gnawing guilt will be a huge factor to stick to the plan/split too. The writer is already foreshadowing it a lot with YD's scenes with Inok. I can imagine she then feels having ruined it all and is no longer worthy enough of their affection, after the truth is revealed. Be it TK's or that of his parents. She definitely will be the driving force of that split with no small amount of noble idiocy too then i guess (sigh), since i cannot see TK wanting to part with her ever now, as hellbent he already is on staying with/wooing her, lol. Let's just hope they get some R&R till then with some quality marriage life, serving as the preview of their future, basically. And we deserve some fluff too before the impending angst, i say. So here is to their married era now, however short that will be (for now) Gotta remind yourself that it is just the trial run for it later becoming reality, tho ;) (hence why i would not even mind a split up now after the eight weeks as long the payoff for it comes)

To those who are watching this drama, what do you like/dislike about this drama? Is it worth watching?
Didn't connect with the leads at all since FL kept frustrating me with her questionable actions/impulsiveness and overall pure stupidity until i lost all amount to care for her, and ML isn't exactly the most exciting nor deep character either, mildly put. Hence why i am far less enthusiastic about this drama in general, but does not let this stop you from trying it for yourself. A lot of people here like it so there must be something to it then.

Is it just me or is there zero chemistry between the two leads? That confession scene came out of nowhere lol
I really don't care for the leads much/at all, which is a first for me watching a drama, so that may be why i don't see much chemistry here either. Also i do think that the romance tag should be removed and replaced by a "slight romance" tag as romance ain't really a big part of the story, just a minor side thing.

I wish is could be enthusiastic about this drama like others here, but i am only mildly entertained at best. I…
And the ending of episode 12 was the most harebrained, contrived one i have seen in a while. Oh well. Hope FL activates her one brain cell to not immediately believe everything she sees for once. Tho preview kinda shows that she didn't so at least there is that. Classic trope of idiotic police once more tho, which can never not be included in a mystery kdrama πŸ˜‚ I think (one of) the only thriller/mystery kdrama i have seen where the police wasn't completely braindead has been Flower Of Evil.

Btw the actress already is apparently preparing for the sageuk shooting (made an insta post about it), so here is hoping that the TRHC writer is forced to write Wil.E out earlier due to that too, in letting her take the "go directly to jail, do better not look at Taekyung ready to murder you for harming YD route, hahaha.

I wish is could be enthusiastic about this drama like others here, but i am only mildly entertained at best. I never connected to the leads, so i am basically watching now to see who the killer is/the outcome/ending and for FL parents who are cute, and also because i am already 11 eps in, lol.

Title The Real Has Come! Spoiler
can't wait for next episode...but i can sense a brief separation for our main couple after 2 months. Just hope…
I actually thought about which way the story will go and tbh, narratively the separation after that point is more "spicy" Aka it offers more potential for inner character conflict, angst and furthering their resolve to be together after that. Plus Yeondoo is very set in her way, once she made up her mind about something, stubbornly so. Very much a logic, stick to the plan person bc she needs that kind of guidance/safety/order in her life, especially at the current point of time. While Taekyung surprisingly turned out to the person between them who is very driven by his emotions, once they are clear for him. Everything else is secondary to that for him, to being with her. I actually like that it is the guy who acts with his heart first and foremost in their dynamic and not the woman as kdrama usually tends to do.

But i digress... what i wanted to say is that she probably will insist on sticking to schedule, while TK tries to divert her from it bc he wants to stay with her for real. Logic against emotions. Whether or not the helldemon duo interferes in revealing Jinjja's paternity and the incoming fallout from it will play here a role too, of course. Sure is, however, that that big lie is gonna come out one way or the other and will force a split up... most likely initiated by YD then as she already feels super guilty toward In Ok now. His mother will be most likely then also fundamental to their reunion, once she got over the disappointment and tries to see it from their pov. Which given her own background should not take too long tbh.

Btw, the story trajectory does remind me of Five Again again, where the secondary couple Yeontae and Sangmin had a big secret between them while dating. Which then came to light by coincidence and led to her breaking up with him. Following that, Sangmin was miserable as hell without her (like this guy did barely function during that time and hallucinated her at his side like TK already did lol) and he tried everything to get her back (crying, screaming throwing up basically. haha) But Yeontae was as stubborn and set in her way once settled on something as YD is actually so it did not work for quite a while. It took her to miss him, see him suffer and family intervention to reconsider the issue and eventually reconcile with him.

I actually expect something similar to happen in TRHC too with the same dynamic and In Ok mediating between them. But maybe the writer does some of his famous curve ball and does not break them up after all, heh. We will see. I think the split is more likely, though. If it happens i hope it will only for a few weeks (2-3) at most with Inok acting bc she sees how miserable her son is without YD. TK won't give up as easy either, of course. This man is down bad for her, done deal, no take backsies ever. Plus with all cards on the table, their reunion could finally be then the "fresh start" for both of them that TK already requested doing.

as i already told you all, lol. But I have no other show atm I am invested in enough that i feel the need to comment on it, so i tend to check back in here from time to time in between doing other things lol. (Guess i have a bit of a drama slump too atm, tbh)

We are unfair to her because this is a fictional soap opera and the back and forth is starting to get a bit stale.…
Sorry but both of you getting hung up on the term "realistic" when all that is meant by it is that the actions and reactions have to be in line with what had been established by the character with how she acted/thought/felt and her experiences made before. It is a narrative realism more than what you call news/life-like realism. The character has to make sense in a story, can't react completely out of a left field all the sudden when they were firmly in the middle before, so to speak. And here, we seen her preparing herself to leave for 4 if not more episodes now, mainly due to the guilt of the lie eating at her away. Securing a future for her and her child is her top priority and thus she cannot waver due to possible fleeting feelings.

Plus TK constantly told her not to fall for him, that she ain't his type, feeding into her low self worth after being cheated on and suddenly he is having feelings for her and wants a future? Of course she does not believe it and given his bg of struggling to commit prior to her is even hesitant to do so now. That needs time, time that has not been given to her yet, seeing that all of it happened in a month and his confession just literally two days ago. Hence her hesitation and fear make complete sense, are in line what is important to the character ( and her actions/reactions/experiences made before that. This is what makes it realistic, to get an expected, logical cause and effect, in line with the character's personality and their background prior established. Because anything else would be bad writing, out of character and unbelievable progression for this character. Sheer illogical fanservice. Period. You don't have to like it, but i also don't understand how you can fail so completely to put yourself to put into her shoes even a bit. A little empathy and patience with Yeondoo goes a long way here. indeed.

If you want quick romance where the FL melts at ML's confession and forgets all she has been through just to jump into his arms no matter how hard the experiences had been on her, well, you are better advised to seek out a fluffy romcom instead of longhaul story where character progression is slow but steady, to get that. Because watching this drama with that kind of expectation you have now, you are going to have a bad, frustrating time with it, then. (tbh, i this is what i do too with watching a romcom on the side/aside this, to get a quick romance fix)

I can see 2 episodes on netflix and thought it must be a 2 episode drama and went on here to double-check of this…
i watch on viki so i don't pay the youtube channel much mind. But afaik each vid is around 20 minutes long so that are three vids for one episode. And i checked the last one posted there is episode 20, so they are always two episodes behind airing episodes. Enough for you to watch either way until you catch up, hehe.
