Our girl confessed she likes TK 🥳🥳🥳🥳🥳
Taekyung is such a golden retriever puppy omg he wants to be around her 24/7 now. YD is not used to such affection/attention which tells you everything you need to know about her ex tbh

He kinda seemed to always perk up when her name was dropped, yeah. At the very least dirtbag regrets choosing…
😂 😂 😂

How's this so far? Likes it's 50 episodes. I want to know before starting it
Excellent, if you have patience for the characters, particular the leads within who are the cutest and also do not take the clowning of SFL and joseon granny seriously to get worked up about it. I cannot link my rundown post i wrote here for an undecided viewer, but i put it on twitter:

the theme of this weekend show is basically "family is more than blood/can be chosen/unconventional families" as each of the couples is set up to love a child that is not their own in one way or the other. Do remember that the whole events taking place over 20 eps thus far only took one month in the story. So if the leads treat each other like strangers at times it is because they literally are, lol.

I’ve been watching more k-dramas without subs to see if it can improve my understanding of Korean language.
With Korean however this has the caveat that you need to be proficient in reading Hangul of course and fast enough for subs. I still struggle with the latter tbh. But whenever possible I use dualsubs (kor/engl) when watching (thanks to a browser extension that is possible) and I found that helps.

Not as a match but DNA would show a percentage of similarities. For uncles of half brothers it is around 12,5% shared DNA then. (looked it up heh)

i feel the asshole concentration is higher in some family dramas at the start than in others. Five Enough for example was well balanced here while my current watch "The Real Has Come" was asshole galore (leads excluded.) Though it got much better later on as char development always takes time. So i would guess it is the same here.

Title Oh! Youngsim
there is no rom in this com, tbh. Very subpar but ideal while folding laundry watch i guess

I’m with you. He isn’t the bio dad. Period. The whole theme of the drama is loving a child that isn’t your…
I did not sit through that thankfully, but maybe TK should ask JH to sneeze on it lmao. Just kidding. But yeah fingers crossed writer keeps doing his thing which was a good thing thus far with all its curveballs and so on.

That’s why I stay off of twitter. How on earth can anyone think that Real is TK’s baby when YD is afraid of…
Yeah, though considering his rotten personality, i would not be surprised if he wasn't pushy about it to begin with and focused on his own needs only. So i get why YD most likely needed longer to open up as that likely would have been the case with a caring/supportive and appreciative partner. I am so stoked about TK now on her side who adores the hell out of her ad is certainly (going to be) a more, ahem, attentive lover too than her shitpile of an ex. It is what she deserves, really.

Plus she needs time to open up emotionally in general and never actually had the luxury to dwell much on her emotions due to having been the provider and problem solver in her fam for far too long. So she keeps most if not all of them to herself, to not be a burden on others. Again, i am sure Taekyung can support her here to channel it all into a better, more healthy direction, with talking things out instead of her keeping everything to herself, to share her burdens and that it is okay to be sad, to cry etc Stuff like that.

What did surprise me was how cheeky/flirty she was with trashboi in the hotel (before his cheating was revealed) It was really cute and i hope we see this side of her with TK soon-ish too heh.

They probably won’t discover their past relationship for a while.
Yeah for this to happen the leads would require to actually still care enough about the hellscape jokesters circus in town... which they don't as they are fully busy with each other lol.

Still i loved how much TK was "im not even here i am a hallucination" when he ran into blunder gnome 😂

My God, Sejin is infuriating. She's just like the grandmother, blame anyone but herself for her own mistakes.…
Don't worry the dad is soon to be freed from the depth of hell there and gets a living situation upgrade, however involuntarily at first, lol. Just continue watching and you will see. Best is if you never take that manic fail jester seriously tho as it will improve your viewing experience by a lot 😂

Exactly, like i rewatched the first episode and he did not even know her name and had to check her wallet for it. Does not scream clandestine lovers, however accidental to me lol. (going back seeing him protest about not being her husband nor a father is infinitely funny to me now ngl)

I think another reason why it bothers me so, technicalities of the how aside is.... TK loving Jinjja and being the father is a choice he actively makes instead of how it would be an obligation as bio dad. Idk how to explain that but there is yet another weight behind it about him actively choosing to be a part of Jinjja's life, when he would not need to as non-bio dad. Especially considering his background of not wanting kids before and all. Makes it all more meaningful, imo.

it's funny how this drama has everyone so invested in it that people are ready to watch once w/o subs and then…
I don't have another kdrama that is really interesting me atm so I kinda live in this comment section for now lol. As for watching w/o subs, as active learner of korean it is a good listening exercise for me to see what I understand and the show fortunately also uses pretty simple vocab/language. So it is quite a bit by now and repetition always helps here of course. Aka watch without and then with subs to fill in gaps and context. I tend to pick up a few words and manner of speech this way. And of course I do it to write my summaries heh but mostly because I'm too impatient to wait for subs to watch the newest episode lol

Seems like it’s been longer than a week since we last watched - this has been the longest week for me.
Saaaaame, the week felt like a whole year, lol. Doesn't help that there isn't really a kdrama rn that is gripping me. It is all pretty blah outside of trhc atm, but I expect it to change next week with see you in my 19th life and Shin Hae sun (been too long my queen) and king the land for some light romcom watching 😊

Imo tho the week also felt longer bc we are entering now their quasi dating era with TK certainly shifting another gear to woo his wife further hehe. Can't wait.

I also believe the couple who's trying to have a baby can benefit and empathize with them when the truth comes…
Yeah it would serve them, so i could see it happening. They would however never do anything that is not beneficial to them first and foremost since they are both opportunistic dickheads, lol. So they could also be going the other direction and trying to put the blast on TK/YD for lying to divert from themselves, but imo the former is more likely with those cowards. heh.

I agree with you that the theme of this should continue to be 'unconventional families', but if the domestic audience…
idk to me it still sounds like ass, not the worst ending but really bad lol. Kinda like why did we even bother? Would make a lot senseless heh, but i appreciate your attempt to make it somehow digestable. But no matter how i turn and flip it, it makes no sense to me to go this route. At all, so lets hope we won't make a change toward that after all. Seeing how the scripts are written on the fly (when does the writers, production team and actors even sleep lol seeing they are only a week or two ahead what is airing? Oof.) it is what i fear most to come if it is a really popular theory, since it would kill my enthusiasm for it, ngl.

Idk either if a majority of the domestic viewers thinks that way either, it is just what i read on twitter under the umbrella "knetz" So this could be one or two very loud screaming it into the chat or fifty, who knows? I am too far removed from SK to actually know it. Fact is only that the ratings of the drama always do a lot better when there is meaningful otp content of the leads in the episodes, heh.

What would be a more tame makjang twise that would make some sort of sense even imo... if we would be going the route of a dna test too, but instead of zero % as expected it shows a dna shared of 12,5% with Jinjja... and thus discovered thru it that JH Taekyung's is half brother/Jinjja's half uncle, dun dun dun, hahaha. But we will see how it goes, BHJ posted an insta pic where she still on set next to the annex one, so our couple is save for now and we hopefully see some bonding/fluff between them heh.

Yep. If they keep quiet then it is just because they don't wanna rock the boat, seeing they did the same (different circumstances sure but same outcome) Not because they suddenly grew an empathy bone, lol
