The writers are doing here what many longform weekender and dailies do wrong... Aka the rhythm to how much the protagonists win and ACT instead of reacting only, with the baddies giving back in unkind but it is like a tennis match instead of the antagonists getting win after win with the leads constantly beaten down it. It is an equal match between them which both parties being capable of the next destructive move. This is how you write revenge well and also the reason why Vincenzo worked so well in this regard. Because the cat and mouse game is exciting and seeing the 'good guys' make a good move is satisfying to watch. A lot of weekenders etc is all about the antagonists doing whatever tf they want and with the leads being none the wiser until they go into their trap. This is done so much better here tbh.
What's up with Kang Tae Hee? Is she a hypocrite or what? She literally blackmails her mother to get some money.
She is as an opportunistic asshole as her mother is, just in a different way. Well knowing that her grandmother is still alive, all she cares about is her own cozy ignorant lifestyle for which she using her grandmother as bargain chip instead to be a normal human being and blast her mother's ass for what she has done, toward TH at least. No, can't have that, since it would destroy her source of income. I hate her egoistic ass for this sm. She never cared for her grandma either when she was held hostage in the villa. She always threatened to tell Taeho but never fucking did. So yeah, she is as bad as her shitty mother through her ignorance, hypocrisy and callous inaction/egoism.

He is exactly the kind of guy she needs in her life, especially with how READY and willing he is to give her all the attention and affection she has never gotten by her toxic trashfam. 🥰

Omg that would have been so much better than what we got with this elitist jealous cow. But I guess the writer needed an obstacle for the lead couple since the elitist cow's comments and accusations makes HS hesitate to commit to TH? So unneeded and I'm so tired of this bitch sfl archetype 🤮 Especially since it has such misogynistic untertones with cow accusing HS that she is seducing her clients to better her low loooow peasant status 🤮 Not to mention that it is particularly annoying and superfluous bc HS is not even interested one bit in her prince piss 😒🙄 Hyoshim already has enough problems without the cow browbeating her on top of everything and everyone else. I hate everything about this plotline. I just hope they don't draw this crap out, at least. I do learn Korean.... veeeeery casually since 1 1/2 years, give or take? I am on the lower intermediate level now i would say, but my speaking and writing/spelling skills is abysmal still which eeeeh i don't overly care much for as listening and reading are the skills i am mostly interested in to hone. Since i learn korean in order to not be dependent on subs any longer first and foremost. So a loooot of my exercise is basically vocab acquisition and general grammar/sentence building, hangul reading practice etc to get a feel how the language works. I think getting a hang of the culture comes with learning a language as those two things are intertwined, but i am not particularly studying it on its own no. I also could be much further and better already in korean if i were studying it more seriously but eeeeh i am just doing it for funsies so i see no need to rush things along tbh.
As for learning korean.... it is quite the challenge, especially when starting out, bc it is so different to western languages, obv. I still trip here and there over the syntax of sentences especially when they contain new words, but within time you do get a feel for it. But it takes a lot of time and dedication for sure. If you plan to travel to SK, all the better the motivation and i think basic vocab and understanding of the language already goes a long way then :D
