Ep 15... just had to come while watching because my heart broke into a million pieces after Liang You An rejected…
I also think it was one of the most heartfelt confession scenes ever.
I was kinda "eh?" at her initial reaction (the little awkward laugh), but based on what we know from her totally ruined dating history in college (also the yucky experience with Nate) and her situation at the moment (struggling to make the tennis club survive/thrive) and other factors at play (she's the manager, he's the athlete and their age gap, too), she has relied much more on her logic than her heart. Plus she's not actively looking/yearning for a relationship, esp. one with a much younger man (regardless of how competent and good-looking and mature the younger man is like).
She does like him to a certain degree, but her logic (in my opinion) is still way too strong at this moment. I just feel it's the wrong timing for SSC to confess to YLA (so I second what An Cong said about confession between adults as playing card game and not revealing all the cards right away). When the logic is way too strong (still), it's hard to lean into the heart, esp. the older you get (the more you feel things are at stake, just like what she said to her friend). Her logic said: be careful because he's still young, his feelings may change and then you'll lose XX amount of time with this younger man. BUT when her feelings get strong enough, this kind of logic will lose its power.
Mind you, I'm not saying I like the way she reacts, but I believe if anyone can handle this rejection, it's SSC. The rejection made me view SSC in a more positive light. The way he could remain the same way with her (showed great contrast with how Nate reacted after being rejected, for example), the way he could tell her that it would be impossible to ask him to switch off his feelings and that he hoped she would also interact with him normally (like before).
the ep 14 scene where she's working on her laptop and he's practicing makes my heart flutter more than any kiss…
I felt the same. That was like saying, "I'm here for you." What a comforting presence, esp. knowing how much FL believes in ML and how much effort ML gives to be her strength.

Agree. The way he said to FL "I have to do all these things because you're not a professional manager." Even though it's true, it's his condescending attitude that bugs me so much. You can teach/guide people without being condescending.

Yeah, the MUCH younger version of YQ ha ha...and he's tactful, too. Knows when the engage with others, knows when to back off (so that it won't backfire), street-smart, too (esp. compared with the other rich boys in the club whose daddies pay for everything).
