I really think FL character (not the actress, her acting is fine) is TOO naive and passive to the point it looks…
Interesting discussion. I have a friend who was raised by her relatives and she hates confrontation the most. She doesn't like being aggressive. The FL in this story reminds me a lot like my friend. My friend has also faced similar hardships (greedy in-laws) etc.
The FL in this story said that she was lucky that the ML accepted her even though she didn't come from a good background (no parents, raised by her poor grandma) and she even mentioned that ML's family members didn't accept her at first. So to me, it makes sense why the FL is like that and why some people seem so passive, because in real life I have a friend like that, too. It's not easy to grow fangs for some people. I feel that if FL tries to tell everything bad about ML, his family members won't believe her and they would end up being even more furious.
Such an intense drama that I watched ages ago that left a deep mark on me. Not really a fan of love affair stories, but this one hit very differently. The connection between the two main leads is so clear/vivid/strong since the start. When they play music together, it feels SO MUCH more intimate and intense than other cliche (and OTT) romantic scenes. Applause to the acting and directing of the drama.

I really love Gwang Nam's advice to Sang Eun. Life is so much easier when you can be relatively open (not necessarily brutally honest) with each other instead of expecting the other party to get what you want/need without telling them anything (when they don't even know your expectations). You tell them what you need/want/expect, you get it, the other party also feels good. Win-win.
This drama may not be the best drama of the year, but it has managed to make me feel different types of emotions for many different characters for such a funky plot.
I loved the way Ji Ho expressed himself in ep 14. It was a touching moment to me to hear the words he chose (instead of what he was taught during the golf course). It made me think: "Ah, yes, there are MANY more ways to express how important someone is other than just saying the usual/sugary things people say to one another." My parents, being Asians, never really said "I love you" to my face and they weren't big on hugs (except during my childhood), but the messages they sent me were always clear: you're important and we want you to be able to reach your dreams. RIP my parents. <3
