I visited Tokyo for the first time a few years ago. It was a fairly short trip so I didn't get to enjoy the city as I would like. I want to visit Tokyo again in the future, plus Osaka and Kyoto.
I’ve just finished watching this series. Not liking the writing for the last couple episodes, it feel very “let wrap up the series” vibe. I personally do not understand why they wrote Looney storyline in the last few episodes the way they did. Why was the polices there, why was that person there, why did they set him up, and most of all why him? It makes no sense to me. Why did they suddenly make Chief Yeom the “ultimate bad guy” and his power is just a little over reaching? Other than those flaws that I can’t get passed right now, it’s an otherwise solid storyline, acting and music. Boys oh boys, I’m so invested in these characters and now I"m going to miss them.

I feel like they don't understand the story of Mulan at all. I'm all about casting more Asian in Hollywood movies but at least do it right. This casting of Gong Li just spell out monetary gain rather than trying to tell a Chinese character story line.
I’m currently watching this. I really enjoy watching Carlos Chan storyline angles. It’s so much more interesting. Other characters storyline are very typical TVB storyline. I really can’t wait to see how they’re going to react once the cat is let out of the bag.

I don’t watch only side by side with you so I can’t say anything about it. I just know that this series also suffer low rating in douban. Some people tuned in for 1 or 2 eps and gave the series 1 star. For whatever reason, some also don’t like Ariel Lin.

I don't understand about the rating either. But I do know that some didn’t like the pacing and not enough romance. I personally am glad that they focus on all types of relationship and not just romance. Even the leads have some type of friend relationship with each other.

Yes I know. I checked on the number of episodes, which is why I said it feel like they checking things off from a check list. TVB 1996 version has 45 episodes and they managed to fresh out the storyline and characters. With this series, they didn't have a build up to the storyline or proper characters introduction, so I don't really care about any of the characters.
I check this out in hope that I can watch something good. Boy, am I so wrong. While I’m trying not to be biased since I like the Jackie Lui version of LingHu Chong, but the lead in this series doesn’t have enough charisma to play the role. I don’t have a problem with re-arrange the sections of the books, but characters introduction and plot are played out like they have a check list to check off rather than let it play out over a few episodes. It’s only 4 episodes that I watched so far and they have already checked off a lot of the storyline. This is just a personal problem that I have with C-drama in general, most of the fights scenes feel like sword dancing rather than combat fighting, they also rely too much on the wire work and many of them are very obvious. With that being a personal issue, the fighting are not good at all. The only thing that I may do after they release all of the episodes is to skip a view just to see how they re-arrange the rest of the storyline.
I wish I could find recaps or basic summaries. My Chinese is elementary at best. I'm missing a lot of stuff.…

The dominant guy last name is Du; he follows orders from his boss to get rid of the Wu family. Hence why they planted the fake stuff in the storage to frame the Wu family
