41-42 mostly uneventful and filler infested. Si Ming was really VERY naughty he is an evil gremlin that dude and…
What!!! You’re not happy to see JC LX in their normal day life. LOL. It does feel a little bit filler on some of the parts. But at least now that she’s going to know him as who he is and not as Song gong zi. QY is growing on me.
International c-drama fans really need to stop talking down Chang Chen. Just because he hasn't appeared in any…
Wow, we’re still talking about this. The series is coming to an end next week, and at this point, I really don’t care all that much. Growing old is part of life, all of the idol actors and actresses will eventually going to be old too. It’s more important to focus on if an actor/actress can delivered what’s need for the role they’re playing. As for Chang Chen, I’ve had said it many time, I’m very happy to see him and Ni Ni in this series so in some way, I feel like this series is made to satisfy my appetite to see Chang Chen in something difference and for a longer time. And I didn’t know that I was craving to see him in a tv series. I feel so lucky that he agrees to be in this and for Ni Ni for agreeing because she wants to work with Chang Chen again. I think most of us that love this series have had said what need to be said. And at this point, we should be happy that we get to watch and enjoy this rare gem type of series.
After rewatching some of the earlier episodes look like the character Zhong Hao is going to play a very important role in freeing the demon king. EDIT: I meant for the demon king to be physical free from his confinement.
Am I the only one that has noticed that in the most recent spoilers JC looks noticeably much better. Its like…
I rewatched some of the earlier eps and Zhang Zhen hotness looks very much the same from the first ep. I think it’s his serious expression that make him feel older. I do however want to see more of his dimple. I think the director didn’t do a very good job to show us that.
Very interesting observation, I may need to check it out. I am taking any kind of excuse to check out Zhang Zhen…
So am I. I watch this purely for him and I am so glad that it turns out well. It’s a bonus that Ni Ni is in this with him. I really like the 2 of them. I am also very glad that the scriptwriters wrote the role of Jiu Chen specifically for him and work with him in changing some minor detail. Jiu Chen really elevates Zhang Zhen acting to another level. We get to see all kind of emotions from him that sometime may not be used in a movie.
I'm not really sure why you're watching this series if only to compare it to TMOPB. For one thing, you're not…
I was planning on ignoring your comment but seeing how most of your comments are just comparing this series to TMOPB, I feel the need to say something. This is not a PREQUEL to TMOPB so don't treat as one. They're just sharing the same world. And I'm not forcing my opinion down your throat. If you’re watching a series and compare it scenes by scenes, characters by characters, or storyline to another series then to me you do not liking what you’re seeing. You can do whatever you want, I'm not stopping you and I actually read everyone comments regardless if it's good or bad. So I’ll continue to read your and comment as I see fit.
I'm not really sure why you're watching this series if only to compare it to TMOPB. For one thing, you're not watching TMOPB version 2 so the storyline is going to be differences and so does everything else. In my opinion, if you can't take yourself out of that mindset, you're not going to enjoy what this series has to offer. There're other series that you can watch and not have to suffer watching a series that doesn't resonate with you. Secondly, to make this series different than other series in the same genre, the scriptwriters specifically added in comedic elements per Zhang Zhen suggestion. So far, there’s no specific comedic figure but every characters offer some type of overall comedic. Le Bo, Tian Lei, Si Ming, Shi San, both Jiu Chen and Ling Xi are all did deadpan comedy. I don't see a break in character with Jiu Chen inadvertently accepted 2 disciples; it's very much how he is when it comes to Ling Xi. He willingly indulges her. Some of the example I could think of are letting her use her room to make medicine, agreed to take her medicine instead of Qing Yao, let her keep a monster as a pet and many more. He treats her differently than other people and it’s the same for Ling Xi when it come to Jiu Chen.
Can someone please please please do a quick summary of that long trailer for 40-50? I'm so curious to know what…
Rough translation of the scene with Ah Mo and Jing Xiu; Jing Xiu asked Jiu Chen isn’t that he hope and waited around for. Ah Mo asked if it’s real. Jing Xiu said he doesn’t recognize Ling Xi, he only knows Ah Mo and he’ll take Ah Mo with him doesn’t matter if Jiu Chen is in the way. Jiu Chen basically said how dare Jing Xiu threaten him. Jiu Chen said to Mo Mo that eventhough she’s suffering but she’s understand one day and he won’t let anyone take her away from him.
Someone is posting the preview for next week episodes on douban. Look like the mortal arc is going to end at ep 50. At some point, Jiu Chen came clean with who he is; he went and met her dad and introduces himself as Jiu Chen. These people sure know how to torture the audiences.
considering how highly anticipated this drama was when it was announce, its so surprising that the subs has been…
Was it highly anticipated? Most of the info I found are people complaining about Zhang Zhen and Ni Ni are not suitable for historical drama, and a slew of other things. I watch this because I want to know what type of series this is that made Zhang Zhen agreed to be in it and it's an extra bonus that Ni Ni is in this. I've also been captivate by her and checked out her works but nothing impressive.
I have to admit that although I wasnt quite into episode 33 to 36, I can't really say this part dragged. A lot…
Eventhough ep 33 to 36 are not focusing on OTP but they're developing the secondary characters really well. Yuan Tong, Tian Lei and even the Heavenly emperor are not one dimensional. We get to see how Yuan Tong was so misguided and blinded with bringing her family honor that she descended into doing treacherous things. It kinds of sad and it doesn’t help that her fiancé is enabling her. She needs someone to slap her silly. I especially like the Heavenly Emperor, he’s a very wise man and he knows people around him really well.
