We're talking about Chinese government, they don't give shit. When I was watching Love and Destiny, the amount of fan fiction posts was insane. People are refraining from posting fan fiction for this series in douban right now. It's so tame that it's borderline boring. The old title of this series is what trending on weibo. Both youku and viewers are keeping a low profile.
I'm just asking for a favor and if people feel like "oh it make sense" then you keep it low, if you don't do whatever you want.
I'm not telling anyone to stop, just keep it on the down low until we get to see all of the episodes. I don't want anything to get cut, I want to see it all. There's hug scene in up coming episode based on preview and who know what else they have in store. The script writer is very good with making every actions/ words being as needed for the storyline so let keep it that way until the end.

I treated this series as any type of other heterosexual series. 2 people met, went through up and down, build up on trust and love for each other then have a happy ending. The script writing for this series is very good. Remind me of Jin Yong wuxia. The leads chemistry is just so good both on and off screen.

So I’m not trying to be a gate-keeper or anything but with so many comments about the flirting and censorship. All of you are making me worry. People in China do screenshot of tweets and discussions and post it on weibo. People in douban really want to make Zhang Zhe Han and Gong Jun become a hot topic but they’re holding it back right now. They are keeping this series a low-profile all of the episodes are release without hiccup. The last thing I want is some vindictive people in China report this series to authority. We’re only 2 weeks into the run of the series, can we international fans do the same. Can we focus on the storyline and less on the sexual orientation of our leads? Can we pretend to normalize this series like any other heterosexual series? The script writer cleverly written all of these juicy parts as part of the storyline, why would you go and point it out and let it get noticed. Let enjoy this great wuxia series. We can go all out once the series end without any hiccup, but for now keep a low profile PLEASE. I really want to see this great series to the end. I haven’t seen series with this level of writing and chemistry in a long time. STOP mentioning about BL, flirting and censorship PLEASE.

I found Zhang Zhe Han to be very bold. I couldn't believe he openly admitted that the directors told them to tone it down because they can't film that kind of series.

I do agree with you about people focusing too much on the BL aspect of this series and how this passed censorship. That should not be what we focusing on when discussion this series. My worry is that if it’s become too much of a hot topic internationally and vindictive people in China may screenshot and may report this to authority. You never know what vindictive people may do, so we should just be careful until the series finish releasing all of the episodes. I guess what I’m trying to say is to enjoy it for all that the series offer and not just focusing on one aspect of it just in case it get heard by authority in China. I personally feel we can try to normalize and treat this series like any popular heterosexual series. The series on its own is a very good wuxia genre series so why don’t we focus on that and make that as the focus. This way BL is becoming less of a taboo and be a part of future normal story telling. A relationship is a relationship, doesn’t matter if it’s female and male, female and female or male and male. The important thing is that we want to see more of these stories. If we get to see more of this kind of interesting story telling who care why it get aired, especially for Chinese drama.

ZZS did a lot of little gestures that reciprocate his feeling toward WKX. All of the things we saw WKX did onscreen was actually because of it.

I love their interaction in the 2 streaming sessions. Their personality are totally opposite from their character.

I think we should keep it low-profile as well. You never know what might trigger crazy people to go and sabotage this. From what I read on other websites, apparently some fans in China would screenshot international discussed series and use that as evidences and report to authority to get series like this in trouble. I would said that on first watch, episode 1 is not that great but it's not bad on 2nd watch. Episode 1 does provide some background info for what to come in later episodes.

While it's shocking but the script writer is cleverly written why those words were said. May be I'm a little paranoid just from reading about issues previous BL adaption series had, I feel like we shouldn't mentioning too much about censorship in this discussion. I agree with you. I haven't watch this good of a wuxia series in a long time. To me I don't even see this as a BL genre series but overall wuxia genre and it's everything.

On Avenuex review of this series, someone mentioned about “贴烧饼” scene. After some google search and apparently the scene in episode 2 where the 4 of them sat together and ate the heated bun over the fire has a double meaning. That word was used in Dream of the red Chamber to describe a man to man love and it was used in this series like a normal scenario in any typical wuxia series.

Same. I didn't expect that I'm so invest in this series. The eyerolls, the tsundere and the flirts. My gosh. Both of the leads are just so gorgeous looking.

I also love the eyerolls. They're the best. ZZS is such a tsundere. WKX is just so flirty. First time I'm watching these 2 new actors and I am loving this series.

I think he's interest in her, he just can't make up his mind just yet. LOL

I really hope they don't lose momentum or gave us a "wtf" ending. I do love the 2 leads.
