Most people react to the BL aspect as if they haven't seen series or movies in this nature before. China at one point made really daring series and movies but because it becoming bigger and bigger due to the shift from HK to China, censorship also becoming more strict. I personally watch this series and treat it like any heterosexual series because people sexual orientation doesn’t change how they find love/ relationship. The plot, character development, acting and chemistry are so good. It’s reminds me of old wuxia series. 45 mins passed by so fast with each episode that you wish you can binge watch it all and then rewatch it because there’s something new to be discovered on 2nd watch.

I actually like ZZH/ZZS character more than WKX. Both actors did a very good job with their role and their chemistry onscreen is electrifying. The reason I started this series is because of Gong Jun's eyes but it's ZZH/ ZZS that I'm re-watching the series for little nuance/ micro-expression. If you pay attention, you can see a lot of subtle changes on ZZH faces as the series progress and they made me giddy.

I don't understand why people got hung up on it. I watched it and it's not that bad. It's very common in wuxia for shimei-shixiong to have relationship with each other. If this is what need to be in order to not get cut or edit, I can live with it. Not only can they legitimately be together because of this relationship but they freaking hug twice and the hand holding. The script writer has came up with very clever excuses for them to be together up until this point and the currently development is not really that big of a deal.
