Please don't force yourself to watch if her acting or makeup bother you. There are many posts like your and many posts of people enjoying the series.
The series in itself is a very good watch and she didn't take me out of the drama. At least I didn't saying "what the?" in any of her scenes.

Very good and stay consistence even when they're dating. No love triangle, no misunderstand, characters communicate to each others. No in your face sugar or just all sugar and no storyline.
It's a very good watch series.

We're too invested in MX as a character that we want what's best for her and WJG is not a good person for her. I will also drop this show if MX cross over that line. He didn't appreciate her when he had his chance and now he running to her because she married. He'll toss her aside once again to appease to his parents once they're back at his hometown. MX deserves better.

I know right. I'm like the rest of viewers in China, is WJG going to die? He's such a boring character. I dislike how in front of his parents, he couldn't fight for MX but now all mad because she married someone else. She needs to have Xiao Wu talking some sense into just like he did with BFY.

It looks cheating to me. I really hate this love line between them. The only reason continue because I like MX and CWD interation but if they did him dirty, I'm going to drop this series. MX and WJG and BFY love line are so boring, at least MX and CWD make the series more interesting.

Did you not listen to any of the conversations in all of the previous episodes? All of the things MX did was to help FY from not marrying off to terrible people. As much as I dislike that MX not telling FY the truth but I can understand why she did it.
Even her own relatives didn't treat her like family but almost in the same line as their helpers so I don't see how the Wu family is expect to be better. She doesn't have a lot of leeway to negotiate for her marriage.
Having a good family background get people to be ahead of the line not just back in ancient time but even in modern time too. MX background handicapped her from the get-go.

Yup. As much as it hurts to watch the last few episodes but their conversation in ep21 more than made up for it. At least now they can both move on with their respective life.

Totally agree that they should keep WJG and MX as unrequited love instead of this triangle love. These 2 eps just left really bad taste in my mouth about MX and they did BFY dirty. I don't like how they pitched 2 women against each other over a man. WJG is just not worth it for the either of the sister.

Really? That's time well spent. I really love how they just depict everyone as a person and not a caricature for drama sake. It's also my favorite TSY drama too. I really like every characters in the series.

He broke up with her and she found out his side piece through his food order delivery. LOL

She gave the relationship with SWR a chance and with LJM is just professional relationship. I don't know why people expect NM to break up with SWR and get together with LJM after his confession. That'll make her a terrible FL.
From her point of view, she only got some glimpse of SWR bad side and words of advice but nothing concrete.

I also agree that SFL is not a bitch at all. If LJM didn't treat her nicely as we seen in the last few episodes, I would say he's unworthy to be with the FL. Like he also treat his dear friend badly so how can we be assure that he won't do that to FL once they get together. So kudos to the scriptwriter for keeping everything in check and not make it out as "because it's a romantic series so ML can only be nice to FL".

I don't know what to tell you other than this is not a 甜寵 [tián chǒng] series. The romance is going to be slow. To me every relationship portray realistically.

I have the same feeling about SFL, like she'll point out the various things/ feeling he has toward NM, so let wait and see. The slow burn romance is just great.
I like that everyone are not letting love blind them and act professionally when it comes to their job. NM really keeps her emotion in check and focus on doing her job.

I was impressed with the whole reveal. No gimmick, just a simple scene of 2 actors talking to each other.

She'll let him win anyway. She had so many opportunities. Like @pamplemousse said, for once she get to choose rather than follow order.
