When JC asks the old man that guard his house if he’s old, the old man say it depends on who he’s comparing to. If it’s with his Tian Jun, then he’s still young. But comparing him to the old man, he’s older but because of his high spirit power, he looks younger. Everyone is just going after his age. LOL

Not really his status alone but because she is ignoring him so they can't talk properly. They haven't talk about Hua Yen's background but earlier in the series, she told LX that she became a fairy because of some god helps her to descend. Hua Yen got send to the Ling Shan tribe because she admits that she stole the needle weapon from the Yuan family. JC ask LX to keep Hua Yen close by through a letter.

JC saw Shi San packing up Ling Xi’s room to take it to the Ling Shan Tribe. She then complains that there’re too many things, JC ask wouldn’t it be too much for Shi San to carry it herself, but Shi San said it wouldn’t be an issue. He then comments that he worry about Shi San practice recently, she may have hurts her body. Shi San then move around to see if there’re any pains on her body, JC use magic to cause Shi San pain. He then tells her to rest and not carry heavy stuffs. When she comment that may be she should rest then visit Ling Xi, he told her that she should still walk around since it’s good for the body. She then uses this ring that makes the bags smaller so she doesn’t have to carry heavy bags to visit Ling Xi. He then comments that it’s a waste to use such valuable things for such smaller matter and she should ask someone to go with her. She says that he’ll be lonely with Hua Yen is going with her. Si Ming then visit JC and he ask if Si Ming has a lot of magic treasure (Fa Bao). Poor Si Ming has no idea what he did to cause JC to be angry at him.
Shi San only realizes that she didn’t do it right when Si Ming said that JC wants to visit LX but can’t because of his status. Shi San try to convince JC to come with her to Ling Shan Tribe; all he did is just ignored her. This part cracks me up because he acts like a little kid sulking.

I laughed way more than I should at the beginning of ep 53, poor Shi San for not being able to read the JC subtle meaning.
I really like QY and JC relationship in the latest episodes.

Well, he never left felt lonely until she came into his life. Now that whenever she's not around, he feels lonely, so she needs to take responsible for it.

I'm kind of disappointed that they did it that way too. I was hoping that she remembered what he said in the earlier episodes and realized that he loves her for her.

From the vid at 1:40, she told Qing Yao that she's not mad at him, she feels like she's useless and only caused trouble for JC so she wants to become someone that can stand beside without negative words about their relationship.

At the 5:00 mark, he told her ever since she came to his house and laid claim of him. Even with him being more than 100,000 years old and being frozen, he has never felt lonely. She needs to take responsibility for his loneliness.

I think what JX did to Ah Mo is going to be her third trial. I also think that she died, otherwise he can't use his ming zhu on her. He was only able to use the power to help the other princess because she was still conscious.

I didn't like the LX's costumes. I would like to see some of Ah Mo's clothes when she was at home mixed with the one JC gave her.
I think they could have dressed him better. I don't like the brown color clothes, they're not very flattering but I do like his other stuffs.

It's not indecision but his hands are tied and if he helps her, it'll cause an issue with her rebirth. She has another trial to go through, not sure what that is yet. Too much heartache with episode 45 & 46.

The sweetness of episodes 43 & 44 are just a mask for the cruel reality of episode 45 & 46. Knowing what was implied doesn't make it easier to watch. And why didn't he tell her that he's leaving. Urgh

The costumes for this series are not that great for both Ni Ni and Chang Chen. I feel like they dress the other characters much better than the 2 leads.

I found that if you watch or rewatch on my case a few eps continously, the pacing is better. But when you’re watching the daily 2 eps, the pacing seems slow.

It's the Song family's butler that saw Ling Xi with Jiu Chen.

Found an article that talked about Chang Chen casting. Even the article tell people to stop complain about Chang Chen age. LOL

So am I, I don't think there was a moment that I wasn't . Both are really good. They made up for the last 2 eps. Almost every scenes are just so satisfied to watch.
BTW, I think that you put the thought into my head but I do noticed that Jiu Chen looks better and better in the last few eps.
