Ah I'm also watching Heirs! How do you like it so far? I had pretty low expectations because there's so much hype, but it's better than I thought^^ I'm glad that Lee Minho's character doesn't seem to be another Goo Jun Pyo so far^^

Anything interesting you're watching these days? Since there are so many dramas that start airing this month^^

Haha the Golden Empire parody in Masters' Sun was so good! People who haven't seen it were probably confused about the sudden serious music but if you've seen it that scene is actually funny!
I haven't seen that many dramas of the Hong sisters but since it's a drama involving a rich cold guy and a poor girl the characters are very typical^^ The writers are openly embracing that though and making fun of it sometimes. Combined with the ghost seeing it was enjoyable to watch but all in all I didn't feel like I've seen anything new^^

I just saw you completed Special Affairs Team Ten 2! I really hope they make a third season since the F case wasn't resolved...

Yes I guess I'll wait till Secret has finished airing! For melodramas it's usually better if you can marathon them anyways^^

I've only watched two really long dramas, one I totally loved (Queen Seon Duk) and the other one (East of Eden)... I think I should have just watched other dramas instead^^ But Ha Ji Won is definitely a huge plus in favour of Empress Ki. Loved her in everything I've seen her so far!

Haha well with the huge cast that Heirs has there's probably at least one actor that most people are interested in^^ I'm glad that Kim Sung Ryung is among the adult actors, she's really good imo. And I'm also relieved that Lee Min Ho's character doesn't seem to be a version 2 of his BOF character so far cause we've already had enough ice cold/arrogant chaebol leads...

Interesting list! Can't say I'm a big horror fan but these (especially Alone) definitely seem like a good choice for when I feel like watching a horror movie^^

Hey! Thanks for the friend request :)

This seems really interesting. I hope it doesn't have 50 episodes
I've seen on jTBC's homepage that it's a miniseries so I guess it'll be around 16-24 episodes; haven't seen any confirmation though...

Yes Lee Jong Hyuk also had a cameo there. That was actually a pretty good one cause the main lead had talked about him in the episodes before so the anticipation was higher than for Lee Chun Hee's character who just came out of nowhere^^ Are you planning to watch Master's Sun? It was a good drama imo but I didn't go as crazy about it as many others cause many of the characters and plot elements just felt too familiar^^

Actually I thought it was good to have seen King of Dramas first. The dramas have two things in common: One is the opening scene where they have to deliver the tape in time to the broadcast station (even though KoD took it a little further) and the second is a similar plot development but I'm not going to spoil that^^ The feeling of the two dramas is totally different though so even while watching I didn't really compare them a lot^^

How do you like Secrets so far? I didn't like the first 2 episodes but if it gets better I might pick it up again^^ I'm also going to try Marry Him If You Dare, Your Neighbor's Wife and Empress Ki but I'm not sure yet about Empress Ki because it has so many episodes. I've never been disapppointed by a historical drama but if there are that many episodes I just want to wait until it finished airing so that I know if it's worth it^^
The first 2 episodes of Heirs were actually better than I thought, for me it's just one of those dramas that's a lot more fun because of all the hype^^

Actually I really like watching dramas that are not happy, but I have to be in the right mood for them^^
I think I know what you mean about the Chaser. Although I was never bored with the drama but at some point I just got really impatient for everything to be resolved^^
Are you looking forward to any of the dramas that are starting this month? I'm really interested in the drama Basketball cause it's set during the Japanese occupation of Korea which is a time period you don't get to see that much in dramas.

Sorry for replying so late! Now that you mentioned it I've actually never seen Lee Chun Hee in any drama except for his cameo in Master's Sun. I've seen him some variety shows and he seems to be a very likable person, so I'm looking forward to seeing him acting^^

I've finished The World That They Live In by now, but I'm not quite sure whether to recommend it. The second half was weaker imo, but I guess for a drama it's impossible to have a happy couple for 3/4 of the show's length. Maybe viewers would get bored with that, but I wouldn't mind it once in a while^^ This is probably one of the shows that you either love or hate. Sometimes the characters are a bit annoying but this drama felt a lot more realistic than others so I'm glad that I watched it.

Ah I've mostly heard not so good things about Queen of Ambition so far but I might give it a try when I feel like watching a melodrama. Just curious how was Yunho's acting there? Cause I've heard a lot of people complain about it^^
And I saw you've finished The Chaser already! What do you think about it? I really found it difficult to dislike Kim Sang Joong's character even though he was the villain; I was so glad that he actually had character motivation and didn't just do evil things because the drama needed a bad guy!

I've read similar things about Dating Agency Cyrano before. I guess I'll hold off watching it until I need a cute, uplifting drama then^^

The World That They Live In is pretty enjoyable so far. I think it can be boring for some people because it focuses mainly on the cast producing their dramas and unlike other dramas this one doesn't have any big conflicts to resolve (so far at least). You just kind of follow their everyday lives^^ But the main couple is really cute and I like their chemistry. It's actually a pretty realistic portrayal of relationships, e.g. the main couple just kisses or hugs sometimes without making a big deal out of it and you don't really get to see that a lot in your typical K-drama^^

How did you like Miss Ripley? I really liked it in the beginning even though I'm not exactly a fan of Lee Da Hae but I got so frustrated towards the end. I know it's based on a real story but I just couldn't understand how she could get away with so many lies and people still liked her...

I definitely think there's a right time for a drama! When watching currently airing dramas I'm usually not that picky but when I watch older dramas I always need some time to choose one. It mostly depends on the genre and the mood that I'm in. The last couple of dramas I've seen were more on the heavy side so I watched Salaryman in between and now The World That They Live In cause their tone is pretty lighthearted.

I only know Kim Myung Min from King of Dramas but his performance there was really good so I don't doubt he'll be intersting to watch in other dramas too. It's always frustrating though when you want to watch an older drama and can't find it anywhere. I've also read about a couple of older dramas from the 90s but I don't think that they'll be available to watch online.

Tbh I'm still not sure what to think of Knife and Flower. I rated it 7 cause I really liked the first half and cared for the characters but the writing is definitely a weak point of the drama. I don't regret watching it, but if you can't take characters making stupid decisions and not realizing obvious things this might not be the best drama to watch. Visually it's a very pretty drama though and it just felt different compared to other historical dramas especially ones from Joseon era.
I understand how you feel about rom-coms though. At some point they usually just get too dramatic and aren't even funny anymore. That's why I always try to watch different genres cause rom-coms just get too repetitive after you've seen some of them^^

Haha yes there's just too many dramas that sound interesting and I like watching different genres so that doesn't make the choice easier as well^^
And that's so true about historical dramas! I mean I liked Queen Seon Duk so much that I finished watching it in the course of a week or so (luckily I had a really long summer break back then) but I'm still hesitant to pick up another drama with that episode count^^
The drama about Lee Soon Shin sounds interesting as well since he seems to be a very important historical figure but 104 episodes is really long >.<

Yes it always sucks when you like a show and the ending turns out to be really bad. Have you heard of Knife and Flower? That drama started out really interesting but then the writing totally went downhill and I only stuck with it cause I liked the characters...
Btw I just saw that you watched City Hall! I've had that on my PTW list for ages, is it worth watching?

Yes I really want to see more of his filmography but I have so many dramas on my PTW list already^^
The Chaser is really a must watch! I enjoyed watching GE a lot but The Chaser was just such an emotionally intense drama that I was more invested in it. Kim Sang Joong's performance in that drama is outstanding as well. That's the kind of villain in dramas that I want to see because he actually has motivation to act the way he does and isn't just a bad person because you need an antagonist in a drama.

And yes, I like watching historical dramas! I haven't watched a lot of them though because most of them have so many episodes, but I'm really looking forward to Jewel in the Palace and Jumong cause I've heard a lot of good things about them^^
