Actually the ML can be bisexual right and there are many bisexual people who are unable to realize their whole…
While it’s important to express differing opinions, it’s equally important to do so respectfully. Dismissing others' experiences or calling them liars doesn't foster a productive discussion. We can agree to disagree on certain aspects while still maintaining a respectful dialogue.
Regarding your points: - Character Development: It's understandable that you feel the main character's transformation seems unrealistic. Many viewers have different interpretations of character arcs, especially in genres like BL where themes of love and identity can be fluid and complex. While you see it as poorly written, others might view it as an exploration of the character's deeper self-awareness over time. - Sexual Orientation: The topic of when and how people understand their sexual orientation is indeed nuanced. Numerous studies and personal testimonies support that some individuals might not fully recognize their bisexuality or homosexuality until later in life. This can be due to various factors, including societal pressure and personal denial. - Personal Experiences: As seen from the responses of other users, there are many who have personally experienced or known someone who realized their sexual orientation later in life. These stories are not meant to push an agenda but to share real, lived experiences.
I can understand that BL dramas, like any other genre, might not be everyone's cup of tea, and that's perfectly fine. If you find that this genre or this particular show doesn’t align with your preferences, there are many other genres and series that might be more enjoyable for you....
Naked, bald propaganda is really distasteful, but this drama's producers (as well as other producers) no doubt…
idk if you wanna insert a 'selfless for the people' into my drama (if you are a Cdrama fan you know the reality of how things are done there) BUT make it make sense - this made all the characters do a flip on their head in the last episodes - and that is my issue!
it was a propaganda filed dumpster fire since ep 19 ended - everyone behaved out of character - but all for the 'good of the people' and 'the prosperity of the kingdom' YEAH I SEE YOU pandering to the gov I SEE YOU scriptwriters
went from a 10 to a weak 8 - no wonder Chinese watchers rated this lower then S1 - they are not blind either !
Thank you, this is exactly the comment I needed. I came to the comments section to see if i should watch it or…
As mentioned by many - if you skip - you are missing out - there is LOTS of romance and sensuality here - but if you expect it to be explicit - then no this is not it.
The Princess Wei Young that most people compare this drama to didn’t even have a single kiss. People are getting…
REAL!! - This drama was VERY sensual and had so many moments that if you just used your brain for a moment you would see what it's about - the fight/bath scene?? If people did not get this was all about self gratification while thinking about each other then I really have no hope for them....
People who complain about the ending REALLY did not watch this drama carefully - you want a fluff ending? This is a Chinese historical drama NOT Netflix ! Happily ever after did not happen to most people back then ehh. Also go watch the SPECIAL and stop crying about the 'open' ending already...
As for the lack of romantic scenes for the leads - again did you watch this properly? This show is all about parallels - since we got all the cheating affairs etc and that had a LOT of passion - they shown that the love between Xiao Heng and A Li was pure and above those - that it was respectful and caring and trusting etc - they needed the contrast.
Please appreciate this show for the amazing art direction, acting and storyline! Thank you.
TBH Uncut should be treated as the main version - after all it has all the intended content of the show - the cut (censored/shortened/PG13) version is the by product of it ehh.
