it was sweet and very satisfying. it's so rare to see couples' "happily ever after" let alone in kbls where confessions usually are rushed the last episode. i feel like business as usual might not be everyone's cup of tea, but to me it was perfect. i could empathize with both characters. business as usual takes kbls one step further in my book. we got multiple deep kisses, intimate yet emotional bed scenes not once but twice. characters that actually talked it out in the end and we got to witness their relationship. we got couple rings and even a small wedding photoshoot. we rarely even get 'i like you' in kbls but we got 'i love you' twice from jinjun. and they openly joked about sex which is honestly so rare for kbls. idk was the series perfect? no but it was perfect to me. i like the directing and the cinematography was pleasant as well. the writer did well with adapting a very short manhwa and touched the miscommunication topic in a very relatable way. the actors were both great and i'm honestly so pleased they casted two actors who weren't shy about physical intimacy. all in all a great special episode to end their beautiful story.
Its kind of nonsense because why would he hire a man to pretend to be lover. Anyway this series is kind of cute.…
it’s actually pretty normal in south korea and japan. i’ve read it’s a whole business in japan. you can even hire a person just to eat with you hahasdfghjkşㅋㅋㅋ also i remember a drama park min young starred in think it was love contract something and there her character was also someone you could hire for several occasions
according to the director, episode 13 will be released next friday (16th may) due to some scenes are re-filmed. please make sure to tune in. let's support them as much as possible 🥰
i read in a post there will be a special episode (unfortunately didn’t save the link) and now from behind the scenes it’s seems that it’s true. notice from timestamp 3:00 from yt link below, it’s a scene we haven’t seen before and both jinhwan & minjun have a ring on which means we are getting their newlyweds era 🤭 also saw another post where it’s a picnic date and i don’t recall seeing that scene either.
Wait, it's 12 3/4 not 13? So there will be another 1 episode before 21.7 or episode 13 will air on 21.7?
based on director's replies on xiaohongshu, she just wanted to add another an extra episode 12.75 to grant fans' request (many expressed they wanted to see LiZhi become more steady). that's why this episode was just very recently filmed and the scenes with the legal guardianship contracts. from the intro of extras, i'm pretty sure episode 13 is already filmed and most probably will come out friday. regarding the wedding, some fans are still not sure. still waiting for director to reply to fans (or maybe she wants to surprise us). let's wait and see.
i saw some fans say july 21st will be fanmeeting, but personally i think it will be another special, wedding episode. i'm so invested in this project that i pretty much keep up with the chinese fanbase and director's interaction. and it really seems, although they have limited funds, they are really trying to grant fans' requests as long as the actors are also willing <3
That's it, Ji Hoon, I officially dislike his character. Ha Min and Ba Woo should`ve been together. I like this…
i'm with you. all i see is the hate for bawoo (albeit he also has frustrating character traits) but jihoon just pisses me off on another level. the way he handled the whole situation is just frustrating. he finds bawoo annoying for not speaking up but he clearly isn't better at it. when he said "let's play truth or dare" i literally lost it. how clueless can one be. and to add to all that he read the notebook without his consent. i too would react like bawoo and take that lame ass "confession" as pity right after reading my personal journal. i'm so annoyed. this could have been so much better if the unrequited love ended in 3rd episode and we could watch bawoo and hamin falling in love with each other instead of this nonsense. some first loves and unrequited loves should just stay that way. not everyone needs to end up with their first love.
It's their second work together after Our Blues. Love both of them!
finally someone who also truly appreciates the beauty of TLIYE 🥹 it’s one of my all time favorite dramas. the second half of that drama is truly iconic and i vividly remember uncontrollably sobbing the last two episodes. i will always watch anything kim hyeja is in. and the director is also another reason i started this one here. a trust-to-watch actress and director combination that’s why i’m sure everything will make sense in the end. not from same director but i also highly recommend kim hyeja’s “dear my friends”. it’s SO good.
It's their second work together after Our Blues. Love both of them!
3rd actually. Kim Hyeja, Lee Jung Eun and Han Jimin all three also starred in "The Light in Your Eyes" together from the same director who's directing this one ^^
another beautiful extra episode 12. just in case you didn't get the last segment - both Xiaozhi and Chen Li became each other's legal guardians. the contracts are proof they will share their lives together. albeit it's not the same as legal rights to same-sex marriage but in china from my understanding you can become legal partners in terms of becoming each other's guardians. so in china queer couples can get mutual guardianship allowing them to make decisions related to their health, medical care, and property as necessary and in accordance with their agreed-upon wishes. congratulations to LiZhi couple. please be happy forever 🥺
Such an important comment!!! More people should read it, especially native English speakers! They did great and…
thank you for your reply. i hope people would be more respectful. and i also saw couple of tweets from london based fans who were all praising the actors' effort and the production teams dedication to make the setting look as authentic as possible but of course they couldn't move the entire crew to london for filming yet they sent a couple of people from the crew to get some footage anyway. even that is praiseworthy and shows how much work they put into this project ^^
i honestly find it so ignorant and off-putting those people criticizing the accents. i'm from europe myself and even the average person here still have an accent. we live in a diverse world, it's not uncommon that people speak more than one language (i speak 5 languages myself). and honestly the actors did so well. considering none of them are fluent. the co-director and acting coach shared on x that he specifically worked with the actors on their enunciation. there's so much work behind the scenes and attention to details. at least try to appreciate that or go back to watch western media if you're really that thrown off by people speaking with an accent. accents are what makes people unique and imho very charming. those criticizing i want to hear how many languages yall are fluent in. suddenly everyone are language prodigies?? be for real. queer content enjoyers would all agree how big of a production and step forward this series is for the industry. i can understand yall having big expectations, but it certainly feels like some of you are here only to nitpick. both main actors did more than enough for the 1st episode. in an industry where bl actors only care about serving kisses, i think NuNew and Zee already proved that they are more than that. how would you react learning about your father isn't your father and basically your whole life is a lie? there's no such thing as "he overreacted". he acted as shocked and angry as any 22 year old college student would react. now be for real.
As the series started airing today I wanted to remake my comment to remind you to please be respectful:Nah fr…
people can have opinions as long as it's constructive and the production team has been listening to the feedback since the 1st pilot trailer and did their best in meeting the expectations and work on their weaknesses. at least people should give them that. they do listen to constructive feedback and that's also another reason it took so long to produce this. but i feel like the negative comments here very obviously coming from a place of nonsense hatred and might i say jealousy. this project is a huge step for the thai bl industry and so many people have waited for a good royal bl for so long. i can sense where the negative comments come from because quite frankly i have seen so many fans wanting this project for their own fave (and they would eat this up if it was their own fave playing) but i need to state a fact this series, the novel was written on the request of the director specially with zeenunew in mind. so it was always their series. respect the actors and the production team. even from the documentary everyone with the heart on the right place can feel how much efforts and dedication was put into this production.
youtube tends to be the cut version. the uncut usually is paid that's why it's on iQiyi.
you might be right. it's usually those kind of scenes that are not included in the cut version since the audience on cut / tv version is intended for a wider audience. but i prefer to watch on iQ anyway since they usually tend to upload extra clips and behind the scenes etc. ^^
This episode felt cheap. When you have no budget and you hire actors from Wish who can not even speak English properly. And…
you are so miserable. certainly here only to spread hate and negativity. just move on. everyone clearly worked hard for this production and the actors were great. go back to watch trash tv if that's what you want.
I swear to god, if Ba U and Ha Min won't end up together I'll be disappointed as hell ㅠㅠ Ji Hun is cute, but…
i've said it since first episode. hoon and bawoo don't have chemistry and i just don't find the acting of hoon very convincing. this episode really solidified it that bawoo and hamin have much better chemistry and i feel hamin has aldready fallen for bawoo.
