I hope MDL approves my added tags such as 'Rape'. For some it might not be a big deal but even the "brutal sex" or "jealousy sex" whatever you call it can be very triggering for some viewers. I'm dropping this without finishing ep6. I overlooked this type of dubious / non-con scenes in ep2 but this time it was very brutal. I haven't read the novel so I just went into this series blindly. But I take the tags very seriously, kinda unfortunate the triggering tags aren't added from the start. I hope others will watch this series with discretion. Take care.
Already adore the trailer and the leads chemistry is sizzling, and just saw it's directed by 'Someday or One Day' director which is my all-time favorite taiwanese drama. I cannot wait for this one ^^
For those who watched both remake and og version, which one is better and why? Is there any difference between…
My honest opinion. The original taiwanese version is legendary no matter how you watch it nothing will beat it. But I still watched the korean remake with open mindset. But I don't think they did the original version justice. I couldn't feel the charm nor the emotions I felt from the original version. I don't even think the actors did it justice either (I'm sorry no hate to the korean actors but the taiwanese actors are just another level of acting). Even the intro of the taiwanese version is meaningful and the title of each episode is meaningful as well which add another layer to the story. The korean version left that out. It felt quite empty without episode titles. They totally ruined the queer storyline. The korean take on it almost felt unnecessary tragic and h0mophobic while in the taiwanese version that whole part made so much sense even though it was tragic as well. I don't know, watch it for yourself. But from an honest point of view, I really don't think the korean remake lived up to the quality of the taiwanese version which is truly a masterpiece.
they should just release the last two episodes next week. there's no build up whatsoever and the plot (if there's any left) is so poorly written. the actors are doing their best with what they are given - a lazy written storyline - but even the actors aren't saving this series. i was so excited for this bl since the mains chemistry is amazing but the writing is so absolutely disappointing. they should have just dropped all the episodes at once or just turned it into a movie because the cuts where episode ends each week are really sloppy :(
The pace was great no dragging whatsoever, the heart-fluttering story of first love, the delicate directing, the sizzling chemistry of the main couple with no awkward moment nor were they hesitant to show natural skin-ship, their acting was just on-point where as the viewer you feel they really understood their characters so well. The OSTs were top-notch really complimenting the main story. I love the fact they dropped all 8 episodes even though some think it ruins the hype a show can get each week, I'm the type who just want to binge a cute story like this in one sitting (which I did last night). Really great KBL of 2023. Easily in my top 5 favorite KBLs of all times. 9/10 without a doubt <3 Now please give me season 2. Sing My Crush & Our Dating Sim really have the potential for another season with more of their story to tell and the mains immaculate chemistry.
That scene after he dropped the bag of chips was so wth? and left field, it became hilarious. And what's with…
it was such a good scene hahah. we are so used to those cringey lips on lips falls but this was different. the way buxia kept eating the chips on jiang chi unfazed was hilarious but so seductive as well.
This movie has so many TWs (ra*pe, ped0p*hilia, se*xual ass*ault, animal cruelty, violence, child ab*use, etc...)…
i just want to say thank you for stating the TWs. there are so many good films that has actually triggered me severely because i don't have any way to tell there's going to be TWs from the synopsis, title or movie poster etc. even if it's going to be spoiler i wish MDL would have a tags for TWs. even though this movie has been recommended to me many times, i think i'm going to skip it unfortunately.
what a waste of my time and a great chemistry between BoomHaii. seriously until the end i was confused and i'm more confused than furious about wasting my time. i'm only giving 7.0 because of mr. lue. fr 10 episodes with poor editing, poor directing, lazy writing and confusing storyline. what a waste of a damn good chemistry between the leads. at least they did their best for what they were giving with this sh!tty script.
What a beautiful ending to my dearest series. I cannot even put into words how much I enjoyed this finale. Was it perfect? No. Was it perfect to me? Absolutely YES. I love how everything played out in the end. I didn't think I will cry so much. But holy damn. Especially after the last part I was uncontrollably sobbing. Weddings make me cry but this was just perfect. Jay saving the wedding was perfect to me, even just Perth's presence brings me so much comfort. Lian & Kuea crying into their first kiss as husbands. The new OST, the scenery. Everything about the wedding ceremony was perfect (at least to me). My heart was so full because I could feel their love & their happiness. No words were spoken but the acting was top-notch. We all know how good Zee is with his expressive eyes but NuNew is really, really remarkably as a rookie actor. Just his teary eyes was enough for me to lose it. And their first night as husbands. I don't even know how to put into words what this scene did to me. It wasn't your typical NC scene in a BL. This was just pure love making. Especially knowing the importance of age in asian culture in general, seeing the older one get on his knees. Allowing himself being that vulnerable, maybe for the first time in his life, in front of his husband, his most precious treasure. Putting in head on his lap, showing his NuKuea that he surrenders to him and him only, expressing nothing but love and gratitude with his eyes without speaking a word. The gesture was so intimate, full of deep love, adoration and most importantly gratitude. Gratitude for finally being with his other half. The younger one looking at his vulnerable husband with so much adoration and respect. The way he looked down on Lian with teary eyes and gratitude. NuNew's expression was immaculate in this scene. The way the younger one touched his husband's face so delicately yet with so much desire. I cried so much and I cried again when the scene was over. It was so beautifully acted and directed. I loved the Korea scenes. NuNew being the linguistic genius once again. He sang the Cutie Pie OST in English, Korean, Japanese, Mandarin & Thai. That was so cool. Loved their meeting in Korea. The chemistry was off charts as expected. One thing Zee & NuNew never fail to do is to show how real couple kiss. Their tongues should be paid actors at this point hehe. I LOVE IT. I have so much more to say but I'm so bad with expressing myself. I just really wanted to comment on the wedding ceremony and wedding night especially because those two scenes will stay with me for a very long time. Thank you to everyone who read my silly long rant <3
Shin A Ra character is so good compared to how trash Han Jae Hee character was in Cafe Minamdang lol
So agree to this. And that goes to show how good LSH is as an actress and how well she interpret her character. Yes Shin Ara is kinda nagging and always after Jin Jung but in a responsible way. And for the sake of Jin Jung. She acts like a sunbae who's constantly scolding her junior but she does it in a way it's not irritable to watch as a viewer because you get why she does it and where her intentions to do so come from. And she's also supportive in times where she believes that Jung is right. Whereas HJH was straight-up annoying and OYS just became really dislikable with her acting.
Am I the only one who thinks kyungsoo's action moves are like a detailed choreography.
In the showcase conference, both his co-star and the director of the drama praised Kyungsoo for doing the stunts himself and he effortlessly pulled off all action moves after short briefing from the choreographers on the actions scenes. He's so good!!
I don't skip the intro & I don't skip the outro which says a lot because I don't usually care about those and don't have patience nor extra time hence why I usually watch drama at 1.5x speed - but this drama is SO good. So far the story and the way it's directed is amazing, and acting of all four leads as well as their chemistry is so refreshing. The only bad thing about this drama is that the airing time is TOO SHORT. I think they could easily make this up to 12 episodes so we could dive deeper into the couples' relationships :'(

It's a Wed-Thurs drama ^^
