Well, it was a narrative mess at the very end. It feels unfinished.
Depending on the depth of the storyline centred around the king's transportation to the present time, it could extend the series by several eps and bring about new subplotsv and characters. Just saying "don't worry about it" is not going to cut it. ;)

After Blossom and The Double, I foolishly thought that we are on a roll. We'll finally get a FL who can actually fight her way back to the top in a do-over. It is not a total fail, but the road to success was bumpier than expected. ;)

Fair point. It is plausible at that point in time, but considering the leads spent years at the academy, it just feels weird that he can't tell them apart on other occasions.
Later on, he has no problem recognising the FL as the real general from her mannerisms as well as her principals like righteousness and bravery. ;)
If all things are equal, I can give them a pass, but the script is too loose and it just becomes symptomatic. Cheers! :)

Yes, I can definitely recommend it, especially if you like contemporary music. The plot is forgettable but you are not here for that. ;)

I agree about the reincarnation aspect. I have made the same remarks in my other reviews.
However, Chinese script writers have learn to work around that. There has been a number of high profile shows with soul/body swapping as their theme as well as time slip do-overs. I think in this case, they probably cut it out to keep the length/complexity down. It works but it changed the tone, for better or for worse. 😉

Nah, House is made of sandpaper and razor blades. Our FL is a kitten, she is just not house trained. ;)

Actually, not quite. :) It is closer to a detective story than House's medical diagnostic focus. She is more eccentric than The Good Doctor's ML but shares some traits. There is barely any romance, but the potential is there so nix on Dr Romantic, at least for now. I won't call it unique, but it is self contained. ;)

I gave it a 9 because I think any drama that breaks the straight-laced mould in k-dramas deserves a bonus point. J-dramas, on the other hand, are well known for being a bit naughty and kinky at times, but k-dramas much less so. ;)

I think Tian was a bit of a miscast. She is hot after a few hits so they just throw her into various roles and see if they can replicate earlier successes. The obvious danger is if they put her outside her comfort zone then nobody wins.
