How does that work?
haha...a beautiful language, yes!

Thank you for that information. I live in the boonies of Nebraska. We get our internet via a dish antennae on our roof that has to have line of sight to a tower a few miles away. When the trees have leaves and the wind is blowing, it's a crapshoot for reception...up and down every few minutes. Storms, wind, alien visitations, ghosts...they all interrupt our signal or take it down altogether. When it works, it works well, but that is a day to day adventure. If anything will drive me into the city it will be dealing with internet issues! ;)

Yuanwei...yeah it's really hard to say any one factor got us here. The reality may be that most people who watch on illegal sites or download on illegal sites wouldn't pay to watch them anyway, so it's no real loss to the networks. Who knows what the figures there could be. I would guess it is a combination of a lot of reasons...mostly the big increase in the cost of licenses, combined with Kocowa taking control of the subbing market. What caused the licensing costs to go up? Probably not a single source...probably a long story there. And we all know why Kocowa started and the repercussions of that. :(

LMAO...half of what you said is Greek to me. What's a repository and what's a torrent? :) I'm almost 70 and consider myself pretty adequate with as much knowledge as I have getting around in kworld and streaming world! ;) I need step by step instructions...like click here, this will pop up, select this, etc etc. ! :) Subscene...that is what I have been hearing about. Where do the subs come from that are on this site? I will get my son to help me try this out. Thank you! :)

I think Viki is good enough for at least one more year as they have a partnership with Kocowa (Viki Pass Plus),…
Is Amazon Prime doing currently airing dramas? Or just old ones that made it to DVD? I should probably jump overboard and spring for Viki + now. It's the only fair comparison between them and Kocowa. Kocowa is always going to lose out, for me, because of my addiction to cable dramas. If the cable companies ever get their act together and start a subbing site like Kocowa, Viki will die also.

I belong to a small group of likeminded kdrama friends, several of whom are in different countries that don't get DF or Viki or have to do some sort of machination involving VPN or downloading dramas and getting subs at another location. It is all above my old head! I need to learn how to do that though since there may be some dramas where that will be the only way to get them. I too use illegal sites even with access to the big 3....they just don't have everything! Especially the cable programs, which are, increasingly, my most favorite!

You should not be being bashed for watching on illegal sites even if you do have access to licensed sites. Not everyone can afford the cost of these sites, especially young people who are not financially able. I think, in general, those of us who complain about the illegal sites do it from worry about the repercussions....the death of DF being one of them. Licensing costs have doubled or tripled in the past few years according to some articles. This past year especially has been very ominous as far as watching how many fewer dramas DF and Viki are subbing. It seemed like it was just starting to get better! And now this. :(

I use them too...if DF or Viki didn't have them! What else can we do? I pay for the subscriptions in the hopes that this wouldn't happen...and because I am lucky enough to be able to afford it where many cannot. But it appears DF wasn't making a profit. Viki, with it's huge volunteer subbers, will be able to hold out, but with licensing costs increasing (a lot of which is due to all the pirating of dramas) how long will they be able to hold out? :(

Since DramaFever has been shut down, I haven't been able to find where to watch Devilish Joy at. :( If anyone…
See below...please request licenses for missing dramas at Viki. I am going to be so sad if 100 Days (though it appears someone else has been subbing because it has 2 new episodes up on Cool/Nice), this drama, or Beauty Inside disappear! :(

Kiss does not sub, nor do dramanice or cool. They are all illegal sites that get their dramas from legal sites or fan subs. Without DF or Viki or Kocowa, international fans are royally screwed. The illegal sites are too since they will have no one to get the subs from if all of these legal sites disappear! Legal sites like Viki need to get a license in order to sub a drama. We have lost this drama and the others people are watching exclusively on DF. If no other legal site (like Kocowa or VIU or On Demand) are subbing, and no fans pick them up, then our only recourse is to inundate Viki with requests to go after the license for those dramas. Ask every day, more than once if possible since they apparently don't track that. Kocowa will never pick up this one or 100 Days as they are not being broadcast on the 3 terrestrial channels that Kocowa does subs for. How I wish the cable companies in Korea would get together and do what the local channels have done with Kocowa! :( Be prepared to be waiting a long time for subs if Viki doesn't get them. A week or more, especially if they are fan subbed!

The whole reason I have been putting off Kocowa is lack of Roku. But I broke down a month ago and signed up to 'just see'. Their site is really bare bones! I don't mind, but it just doesn't seem quite as user friendly as other sites. But, I need time to adjust! I plan to pick up a chromecast soon since Kocowa supports it. I need to see what the difference in content between Viki and Kocowa is...if there is much difference that is.

It was not licensed in my region, so I'm not affected by this. Moreover, when I used a VPN to watch there, I hated…
I really like Viki's subs better too. I love how they add cultural references about why the characters said or did something. And I too really dislike how DF truncated so much of the dialogue, turning phrases into westernized jargon. It doesn't affect the overall meaning, it's just that....I think I find it a bit disrespectful (?--not sure what word I want to use) to change the translations as much as they do sometimes. It's not a deal breaker for me...I just prefer when the translations are a bit more literal like Viki does them. But no matter what...this is a HUGE loss for the international audience. I am guessing the catalogue of dramas will return with AT&T Warner's 'new' subscription service. At least I hope so! What a loss if all the older dramas are dumped like Viki did when they acquired Soompi's library. Increasingly we are being forced into illegal sites like Cool and Nice and Kiss. I used them so much more in the past year or so and I feel badly, but there have been so many dramas that we can't see otherwise. :(

If this won Best Web Series at the Seoul Webfest in 2017, I wonder why no one has picked it up to sub it? I love all 3 of the cast members. :( It has the MDL Kiss of Death date of 12/31/xx...meaning no news of availability yet.

i think on ondramanice? but the ep doesnt have any subs yet :c
DramaNice/Cool are not a legal site. They take all their subbed programs from sites that legally sub or from fan subs. I too only resort to them when one of the 3 I pay for doesn't have a show I want to watch.

Just finished watching this. Enjoyed it immensely. Not at all what I expected from the beginnings, but it just kept getting better and cuter. Just a really sweet story. The closing credits are to die for so DO NOT click away before watching it all. Absolutely adorable. Even if you don't watch the movie, watch that part for the unmitigated joy! :) Simple sweet story, loads of fun to watch. I hate rap, but it was well done, on point with the story, especially the final one. 9/10 for me.

I am new here and would like to know how to wacht it, so are there anyone who can tell me?
Hello. I was checking this page for something else and just happened to see your comment. Do you have a subscription to legal sites like DramaFever, Viki, Kocowa? These are sites that legally get licenses from the networks in Korea to subtitle and broadcast on their own sites. I have a subscription to DF and Viki. I pay them by the year since it is cheaper. I am still debating Kocowa, if they get Roku I definitely will.
There are many illegal sites out there and many many people use them, including me! These sites take the dramas from legal sites and broadcast them free as long as you don't mind advertising (it is essential you use a good ad blocker and have a good malware program to run occasionally to clean out all the garbage they post). Some of these sites are GoodDrama, DramaCool and DramaNice (same thing just using 2 different sources for broadcasting) Kiss Asian, and bunches of others. I think sometimes it depends on which country you are in if these sites will work for you. As you watch dramas, you can ask in the comments...where are you watching this? If they say a site where you have to pay, and you do not have a subscription to that site, then try one of the illegals. They work well and I have been using Cool and Nice for years with no problem. I try to always use the legal sites as much as possible. If we lose them, then we lose the opportunity to watch since the illegals will have no one to copy from! :( I just feel that as long as I can afford it, I have to support them. ;)

Good luck on using this site. I had been watching for over a year before a new friend online told me about it. Luckily I had been writing down the ones I'd been watching so I had some kind of record. I started transferring my list from Netflix but only got halfway through before they deleted that function :(. MDL is a marvelous tool for addicts like us and we are so very lucky to have them.

So who IS stupider? To me, there is nothing in Deuk Hwan's behavior to indicate malice nor guilt. When Young Joon left, the scenes that follow never show DH with any snide or evil smiles nor any of the telltale indications of a man who has any evil intent. To the contrary he seemed happy, or at least content. YJ was running away from his life all through this show and so was DH. Both of them were terribly lonely men. For me, DH decided it was time to stop running and time for his friend to start living his life. Both of them were stupid to be living the way they were....DH abandoning his wife and his life...running from his responsibilities instead of staying to fight. It was obvious from the scene of his wife in that house (which I believe he was walking towards) that she still loved him and was still broken hearted. She still had their wedding picture out on display. YJ was clinging to a relationship that never was, trying to make something out of nothing He attached himself to that girl for no other reason than that he was lonely and she was someone he felt he had rescued so created an imaginary relationship with her as a result. She was a mess anyway, so he was stupid to try to cling to that. His entire life was on pause, and as long as he kept coming to the tent, he was never going to start living a real life. He was planting roots there as surely as DH was with all his possessions accumulating. The signs were there that before long he would be living there full time. I don't know if DH took any of those things in that bag of his, but my guess is he threw out or gave away as much as he could to prevent YJ from doing that. He was saying to him...this is not your home! YJ realized this too....who is stupider? It was not a phrase meant in malice, it was a wake up call. My thoughts anyway.
