Loved the casting and the story. Everything about this combined to make it a quality show with an fascinating premise that kept me longing for the next episodes. Lee Dong Gun had another brilliant character and he should be a force to be reckoned with in his roles from now on. But everyone did so well in this. An absolute pleasure and I would love to watch it again...and would love more for a sequel. Doubtful.
M4ufree Watch Traffickers (2012) Full Movie for Free
Yes. It was cute and very sweet. Both it and Baby-faced Beauty were just middling dramas for me. He really hasn't done much, which is a shame. Most of his parts are just supporting or guest. You should check out Phantom/Ghost just to see him. He was so gorgeous in that! He was only 26.
Thoroughly enjoyed it. I think, for me, I got attached to the characters very quickly so I was immersed in the story very quickly. It made the movie fly by. It's more a movie about people than an action or police movie...they just happen to be police, but they could have been anyone really. It was easy to put myself in the characters' places and empathize with them, which is the point, really, in a movie like this. It's not so much about action (tho there is that), as it is about how making one wrong decision, and then defending that decision, can snowball until you have locked yourself into an irreversible position. It's a 9 for me because I was in the perfect mood for watching it I think...which helped. There were plenty of tears at the end of this. Some really terrific performances, especially Daniel Choi!
Other than the in your face beginning, I found the first few episodes a struggle. Yet another drama of an infighting chaebol family backstabbing one another. It's very hard to really like anyone. One of those back and forth, win and lose things. Over and over the same thing, everyone lying and trying to destroy the other guys. First one is on top and then the other...and not even from episode to episode, but in the Same episode. As usual, it's really hard to care in a show like this because you know in the next 15 -45 minutes the other side will be on top so all you can do is wait for the back and forth to get over and 24 hours later see who is still alive. That said, this certainly started gaining speed and interest for me about midway through. It is definitely well acted. But the writing...as usual all solutions are picked out of thin air and the Person of the Moment wins a round, usually within that 15-45 minute time frame, and then you wait for the loser to cogitate on that for 15 minutes or so and then they take 15-45 minutes to win the next round. It's definitely a tried an true scenario and it's been done and done and done in so many dramas over the years that I struggle every time. Yet I find, if I stick with it, I get really wrapped up in the battle, start picking sides and hoping for the winner to defeat all comers. The problem with this one is...we have a genuine anti-hero in Tae Joo. I suspect he is going to have a very bad ending at the end of this. (I'm on ep 14). It makes it very difficult to root for him. I can root for Seo Yeon tho! I hope she forgives Sung Jae. That poor kid has had a really difficult life with that poisonous mother of his.
Kissasian.ch ;-). It‘s really great. Loved the original one but this is awesome as well!
There are a lot of illegal scraper sites out there that pick up kdramas from the legal subbing sites. Unfortunately, though I have tried to stick with my paid memberships at Viki and DF, I have increasingly been defaulting to the illegals because either the one I want to see isn't on those 2 or it is on Viki but under Pass+ membership, which I am still not ready to subscribe to. Same with Kocowa. ...they will carry almost 100% of the terrestrial channels' programs (KBS, MBS, SBS) but none of the cable channels. So now I am guiltily watching stolen dramas (usually on one of dramacool/dramanice's multiple sites) because they pull them from those sites as well as Netflix, VIU, On Demand Korea, and the odd fan subbed dramas. They also have a huge library of older dramas...as does GoodDrama, but I don't like GD's format. I wish there were a better and legal way to get all the dramas I want. Still, I feel I have to pay for legal sites so I can't sit on the fence much longer as far as Viki vs Kocowa are concerned. If fewer or no one pays for the legal subbing sites, who will be subbing? If there is ever a Kocowa for the cable channels, I will be the first in line!!! :)
Just excellent. A few procedural things had me talking to my screen, but the terrific story and even more terrific ensemble cast won out over any problems. Left it wide open for Season 2. I hope they do it, but the low ratings might preclude it. :( I have to add....I never saw the original nor knew anything about the story going in, so I had nothing to compare it to. Perhaps I would feel differently if I had seen the previous production, which I heard was excellent. I do have to say, Han Ga In (for me) is the dullest actress. She is so wooden. But even that I can ignore if I can make myself believe that it's just her character...but she is the worst mother. I could never get over her letting a complete stranger in to her home as a babysitter! Some random person she met in a park with a good story. What sane mother would do such a thing?
Actually, they are still making 2 one hour broadcasts per week just like they always have. We still get an hour…
I, too, love action/mystery drama, the darker the better. Korean movies are rife with all the darkness in the world! ;) We have been extremely lucky in kdrama land to be gifted with some astoundingly good dramas of very high quality this past couple years. I'm still recovering from My Mister and Misty. Both were visual and emotional feasts. Add in Should We Kiss First?, Mother, and a handful of others, and I have been pretty elated . :) Yes, good talking.

The story changing according to audience reception is a years long complaint. :) It doesn't happen as much in evening dramas like these .... the family/ long dramas are more prone to it I think. Though there are some notable exceptions that caused a lot of unfavorable publicity. I do have to say, I don't see the lack of production value in this. It seems to be a very typical evening drama. I'm caught up now to episode 10/20 and am wondering how they are going to keep this going for that many more episodes. The oddest thing about this drama is the erroneous synopses that are posted all over the place...like this one. Not sure how a 7 or 8 year old child is "about to enter a university"! :)

Oh. Are you saying the visual quality seems bad...like it isn't HD quality? If so, are you watching it on Viki? Or does the production quality seem bad to you?
All that filler in Song Yoon Ah's lips is driving me nuts! Because I've seen her in several other shows, it just is too obvious that she overloaded on the Restylane and I'm having difficulty blocking it out. :(
This is the second 30-minute show that I did not liked. But I see now. It seems that the Korean shows with 30-minute…
Actually, they are still making 2 one hour broadcasts per week just like they always have. We still get an hour each on Monday/Tuesday or whatever. But recent new advertising regulations and a shortage of money, due to the loss of China as a customer, created this new episode split. By splitting each day's one hour program into 2 half hour segments, the networks can separate them by a half hour or so of commercials, which brings in more money. It looks like 2 shows per day/4 shows per week, but it really isn't. Korea has some pretty strict advertising rules that limit how many and how long the commercials are during a show. This is how they decided to get around that.
Finally got through it. Hated the mom, she pretty much ruined the drama for everyone. Bigoted, nasty, small minded....no way I can understand anyone tolerating or forgiving her violent and disgusting behavior and words towards her daughter, Joon Hee and his sister. The most unsatisfying thing about this drama was Jin Ah's compliance with her behavior. She was willing to go to the wall to correct her slimy co-worker's sexual misbehaviors, but (culture be damned) I cannot abide this kind of parental abuse and she was willing to damage herself and Joon Hee in order to appease her mother. UGH...I could go on and on. Still, I found the ending satisfying....even with the cliche and despised 'separation', followed by 5 minutes of resolution at the very end...for that, it will be dropped in rating from me! ;) These 2 were adorable and natural with one another and did a great job with the story. It was pretty clear to me the story the writer wanted to tell, and for a first time drama it was really pretty good. And the PD is awesome...so the production was gorgeous and quite a feast for the eyes.
BTW.....the sexual harassment was resolved. When she came back to the office to hand in her resignation, the CEO was taking her out to dinner and when they got on the elevator he told her : "As befitting the victor, just smile and let it go". And she smiled.
MDL needs a new category. Machination or Scheme Drama. That is the primary, really only, theme of this drama. It's back and forth, back and forth, back and forth, episode after episode. I really enjoyed it at first. Then about a third or halfway through I switch from Netflix to DN to watch it on 2X. Then at episode 12, I skipped 13 and didn't feel like I'd missed a thing...just more Machinations and Scheme....more back and forth. It's actually really well written, and well acted enough. And maybe in a different mood I wouldn't have lost interest. But, something damped the enjoyment, and I ended up being just glad to have it over. Still. 8/10 because of the writing and production.
