A very well done gangster genre movie that tells an engrossing story of the hierarchy of a criminal organization at war. There are some terrific fight scenes, but the story itself is excellent also. 8/10

Far more introspective than I thought it would be. I was expecting a blockbuster action packed adrenaline inducing movie. There were certainly aspects of that, but they took second seat to the story. Loved it. Beautifully filmed. Terrific period look, great attention to detail. The camera work was outstanding. wavering between 8.5 and 9...

It would be informative to read the Wiki entry ''https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/1923_Great_Kant%C5%8D_earthquake''
before watching this movie. Go to the section titled Post quake violence.

The most important thing about this movie, despite what some may think of the WAY the movie tells it, is exposing to the general public and, most especially and importantly, to the younger audience, important historical figures that are part of the the building of their country and who fought for freedoms that so many take for granted. I spend a good 2 or 3 hours reading many many articles online about them and that time period. Very eye-opening and fascinating.

A little MORE realism might have been nice, more attention to detail, and a LOT more info about the reality of getting, having, treating and living with HIV. No gloves while handling blood? But it's not a public service movie....it's a straight up love story of two people destined for one another, madly in love, and if being a prostitute and having a psycho ex don't get in the way, a little thing like HIV isn't going to stop it! 7 or 7.5. Just a cute movie. Nothing great. Nothing awful.

Still no legal sites have picked this up for subbing. :( Does this mean Netflix has it and we are waiting for it to be done broadcasting before Netflix US, etc gets it? Have to wait and see I guess. :(

I think it's not licensed yet. And it seems that the fansubbers at badguys2 dot weebly don't want their work being…
absolutely true. As far as I know, no legal site has picked this up, which means, probably/maybe Netflix has already locked it up and we will have to wait until it is all done broadcasting/simulcasting in Korea (and Netflix's selected Asian partners) before they will bring it to Netflix USA, EU, etc.

Subs were bad on Nice/Cool, but fine on Kiss. Sweet, simple love story about the ever changing and never changing complexities of marriage and the challenges they present...all of which can be overcome if both of you remember and know that you love each other. Not a life altering movie...just a nice movie for the evening.

Really well done and brutal movie. It's not at all new, there have been other and better ones, but that doesn't diminish the impact of this one. No matter how many times we see it, how many sick and depraved and twisted souls who prey on others...their hive minds and their sick bullying....the power of these kind of movies to show just how twisted and soulless these people are never loses its ability to depress, infuriate, and disgust. It leaves one with such a sense of hopelessness, fear, and bitterness that our children have to grow up in such a world, in the cesspool that is our schools today, and live with these monsters....or almost worse, become one of them.

Title Single Wife Spoiler
Well, it's not 1% for sure. a bit cliche, but still a good story kinda. Low Budget definitely. A lot of low or…
well, it finished a little stronger than I thought it would and I'm good with that ending...sort of! Got a kick out of the Cranbrook mention. My BIL is there getting his Masters right now and says there are several Koreans there also and they are a great bunch, lots of fun, and he is now addicted to Korean food! :) Honestly, I still don't know which guy I wanted to get behind in this so, for me, that is the downfall of this drama. I think it is not unrealistic that you can love 2 people at the same time for different reasons. And neither of them has to be the 'wrong one' per se either. I just really like my romances to be more clear cut. And I really liked both of these guys. So...I'm still all over the place! 7/10...maybe 7.5?

Title Single Wife Spoiler
Well, it's not 1% for sure. a bit cliche, but still a good story kinda. Low Budget definitely. A lot of low or no name actors, which I like a lot. Because it doesn't suffer from bad acting at all and it's great to have some new faces for a change. Just a typical storyline without much going for it. Hard to feel any passion for the characters. I don't know quite how to describe it....I like it but I don't love it. I find it hard to really root for anyone in this but Jae Min. I don't see that Ra Hee really loves him though, nor does she really love Min Hong either. But she also seems to kinda love both of them too, with good reason! But still. Not feeling it. Both guys love her, but I'm just not rooting for either one to end up with her and frankly don't care if either of them do or if she ends up alone even. So, as a romance, I'm not invested at all in any of the relationships because I don't feel any real love from our lead girl for either of these guys nor does it feel like that is going to change into something I want to root for. Which leaves me with this meh feeling. Just finished ep 9...maybe a miracle will happen? Probably going to turn Jae Min into a bad guy so she goes back to her husband...because that's what always happens in these dramas.

First one of these I didn't really like. It's kinda silly, but at the same time not funny and the whole story just kinda went flat anyway. It's supposed to be amusing that these people got an old man fired for stealing packages with no proof? Apparently the old guy then developed heart issues and his young son takes over the job to support the family and they do the same thing to him. How is this supposed to be cute or funny, yet that is how this drama tries to portray it? This in a country with rampant unemployment and sketchy health insurance so I can't imagine how dangerous their family situation is now. smh. Nonsensical to me.

Sweet and lovely and quite well done short drama. I just watched it for the second time and actually upped my rating to an 8. I think the second look made me see even more how well they did with this drama. It's a simple story, but well told and well acted. Worth watching at least once....or twice!

Why is it taking so long to sub? Money Flower gets subbed in a few hours.
no one's watching this but us (notice only 52 comments here?) and no Big names in the cast either. Ratings are not great either, but not horrible. Ep 7 only got about a 2.5%, but 8 got a little over 3%. In Seoul it's gotten over 4% a couple times, which is good for a JTBC show. Still, it needs to maintain at least 4%, preferably 5% to get attention. It's taking so long to sub because Viki it the only one subbing it and I don't think they got many volunteers to do it. Last week's episodes took days! (maybe someone got sick or had family issues?) Unfortunately, we are moving into the end of semester or quarter periods for students (which make up large portion of the volunteer subbers at Viki) and then it's going to be Christmas vacation. Expect even slower subbing as everyone starts spending time with family and friends for the holidays! Good thing there are many other dramas and movies you can add to your list! Time to catch up on some of those ones On Hold or in Plan to Watch! :) ;)

Another really well done Special, as so many of them are. Completely free of cliches and dealing with far more realistic situations and relationship than your normal kdrama, they are almost universally a wonderful break from the sameness of kdrama. This one dealt with a lot more realistic homelife situations and difficult ones at that. A son dealing with anger issues and on the verge of permanently screwing up his life with poor life choices and violence. A single mom too busy trying to make ends meet to deal with the serious issues going on with her 2 children, but trying her best, and a daughter rebelling and coming of age and into realizations of life issues she does not want to face. Really enjoyed this.
