Absolutely lovely drama. Wonderful writing and acting. Loved the look and feel of it. I had not planned to watch it at all and what a surprise it was. Seriously overlooked drama.
Yeah...what everyone else said. Nothing about this 'Love Story' is 'Ordinary'. The transition from rom-com to something else creeps up on us and, I thought, was handled really well. It could have been so jarring as to turn off the audience. Instead, thanks to great writing, acting and direction, I spent almost the entire last part of the film going..no, this isn't happening... surely there's going to be another switch...something that comes totally out of nowhere and explains everything. 8/10
No one deserves what the lead guy has to suffer in this drama. It will drive anyone crazy especially during the…
It would be nice to mark this as a spoiler as there are people who don't want to know the ending but like to read the remarks to see how people are liking the film. I'm already thinking no on this tho because of that ending...so thanks for that! :) I'm one of those who does want to know how it ends before watching!
so is this 12 or 16 episodes? Wiki's are also saying 12, but koreandrama.org says 16 (to be decided) and comments on 16 sound like the story is ongoing...as in Not open ending.
That says it all. Really good film. Direction, production, acting, esp Han Ji Min, were terrific. It's hard to watch, but they keep most of it either out of camera's sight or with extreme close ups and fast panning by the camera. 9/10
What mess. The script was crap. Love both our leads but this story was so meh! I struggled to watch, but wanted to be supportive, so I hung in there. I hope she will get something better next time...and a better makeup and hair artist! She is still adorable to me and I have always liked him, so ....better things ahead? :(
Just started this and I will be up until I'm caught up. Thankfully new episodes are coming tomorrow! Kim Sun-Ah is batting 1000 with her choices of dramas lately. This one is phenomenal!
Beautifully written and acted. Sad story of a couple torn apart by outside pressures and competing for a job and the guilt both could not deal with. I hope they eventually end up together. They are too much in love with one another to move on even after 3 years.
I want to like it more than I do. But the God awful procedural stuff is driving me nuts. As usual. They have supporting actors in hazmat suits and all he puts on is a mask and gloves? He grabs the face of the infected guy with his gloved hands then uses those same gloved hands to cover his face while weeping? And that is just a couple examples. Every episode has stuff like this. The reality of this kind of epidemic would mean employing tons of guards, doctors, scientists, and the use of isolation techniques that are glaringly missing from this. A single guard outside the room of a guy who may hold the key to stopping hundreds, if not thousands or even 10s of thousands of deaths? Too low budget. They shouldn't even attempt something of this scale if they can't support it. smh. Everything is too slap dash and careless. Even so I do enjoy the story. It's just that everlasting attention to detail that creates so much frustration. Especially when you have been watching series like this on US and British TV that do such a good job of it.
3 years? Why? I suppose they are going to come up with something that is going to explain that length of time...for the life of me I don't see it. This relationship is written too different...too far from reality for me. Neither of them seem to be trying that hard to change things so they can be together. They just keep floating along waiting for 'something' to happen so they can be together. This episode and the preview were the finish for me. I agree with everyone who says the lead female is weak. I detest this wishy washy personality of hers. It's pretty obvious she can shut down her boyfriend whenever she feels like it. She seems to have the willpower to do so whenever she wants. So the whole premise of her being so shy/hesitant/unsure about her new relationship just doesn't ring true. I lose interest when the characters are made to act in a way to prolong or delay the story when it is perfectly obvious the story wants to move forward. 12 Episodes? This would have been better with half that or less. I started out with a rating of 8 or 8.5. It's down to a 7 now and I will be skipping the rest of the episodes until the last one. When a drama just makes me frustrated in a bad way like this, it's time to let go.
Good movie but the story had some holes or lack of development...or maybe too much editing cutting out needed info. What the heck was that scene of his wife getting a drink of water out of the fridge? The crime tape was still on the door so it's obvious she is dead. NO explanation. And the 1, 2, 3 is is direct copy from an older movie and a well known device that has been used in other movies or tv since. And what about Double Jeopardy? What is the whole point of getting him to confess to his wife's murder when he can't be tried for it again? Does the tape get him confessing to the rape and murder of the HS girl? Be nice if they said. And why would he commit suicide when he had beaten the rap? He's a psychopath so it's not like he cares or has guilt. All of it can be surmised, but it's way too much left out for me. 7.5
still no sign that anyone has picked this up for subbing? :( Keep sending requests to Viki. Even if you can't get Viki, if they sub it it will show up on the illegal sites like Cool/Nice. https://vikiinc.wufoo.com/forms/title-request-form/
Very Sweet movie. I know I am missing something about the ending. I'm not understanding what the 2 men were talking about when they discussed 'what they were doing'? They drove out into a field by water so I thought there was a burial grounds out there. Then they have a brief glimpse of Futaba, apparently lying in one of the bathhouse's tubs surrounded by flowers. So what is happening? I'm guessing they are going to somehow keep her body there at the bathhouse? Why the trip out to the field then? And why, if they want to keep her close by (so she will never be lonely) didn't they just cremate her and keep her urn at home with them?
and the illegal sites have it too...like Nice and Cool.
