It took me to a place I didn't even know I wanted to go to. Absolutely lovely story. Being of an age with the older generation in this movie made it all that much more poignant and relatable.

Childhood is painful for many some of the time, and for many others a lot of the time. No matter the age, it seems like bullies are always there. How do you tell your kids are hurting? What can you really do about it when it happens? Even if you address it, they still walk alone in their world and you cannot be there to protect them. Hug and kiss your children...a lot. They need to know there is one person in this world who loves them unconditionally and completely. It won't make up for what they may have to go through nor stop it from happening, but it just might be enough to give them the strength to endure or survive it.

Title Missing
Straight up snuff film. Not my cup of tea at all. I like dark and violent and don't mind some sex mixed in...but there's a difference and this one gave me an icky feeling...not about the movie...about the people making it and in it. I feel really sorry for Jeon Se Hyun. Really disgusting that she had to endure that.

40/20 eps is too much. At 18/9 I'm kinda getting tired of it because the story is slowing down a lot and there's just nothing new in it. They need to start introducing something besides the bad guys winning and the good guys losing or treading water. It's getting repetitive. Great fight scenes though, and I do love the characters and the acting. It's just the story...there isn't much to it! We know the whole thing already and I'm really afraid we will spend the next 22 episodes just going back and forth over the same ground. Hope KNG is doing okay. Still a solid 8 for me....so far ...just on the strength of the cast and acting. Bad guys are written too one dimensional also. I like my bad guys with some redeeming qualities...not a bunch of mustache twirlers! ;) :)

Thank you for your comment, bmore! I actually have those three shows: My Mister, Misty and Sky Castle in my PTWL!…
I do not trust the reviews here all that much. Age, life experiences, and tastes differ so! I watched a drama that had a 6+ rating and loved it! :) Movies.. I always google the reviews. I also read any articles I can find about the movies. (I'm particularly anal about researching movies before I watch). :) If I start a movie and it's particularly interesting or full of historical data, I will stop and go to google for the wikis etc. I research a lot sometimes if one really touches me.
I am lucky to be retired and have NO life! My time is spent in front of my computer or my big TV with my Roku. Life is good! :)

oh, and I love to watch while airing also. I used to comment a lot, but stopped for the most part. My biggest problem, as I near 70, is that, since I have so many on the go, my old brain takes a while to put the story back together when I'm waiting a week and watching so many others. :) I stopped marathoning currently airing dramas right after they aired for your very reason. I find (esp with the older dramas or sageuks) that I get bored and start FF through some of the middle episodes....or if it's one of those 50 episode monsters.

Even after 7 years, I have so many older dramas (>70) and movies (>150) on my On Hold or PTW lists. I have made a commitment to cut those lists down significantly over this last and next year. I won't live forever! :)

If it's on cable, I'm going to watch it. SO thankful for OCN, JTBC, TVN, etc! They have really forced the terrestrials to up their game also.

I have a feeling Viki felt the same way. I am going to start watching it again soon now that Viki has it. I have to finish Resurrection first. I try to have one older drama on the go all the time with all the current ones I watch, though SKY is not older, I'm anxious to watch it again...and on my TV not my computer screen! I usually am watching 15-20 currently airing dramas at a time! I think it challenges my old brain to keep track of them. SO thankful for this site. It is a lifesaver.

Be prepared to be blown away. That drama is literally saturated with examples for these articles. To say nothing of everything else about it that was amazing.

I remember reading that Blair Witch was the initial culprit we have to thank for it. I think it can work is very short spurts...but, when it's being used too much, or too long in scene, so that the audience becomes aware of it, you've just negated it's usefulness. :)

Like everyone else, I am loving and learning from your articles. You most definitely should keep them coming. I know there are things I would like to ask you, but now I will spend some time cogitating on some questions for you....see if I can remember some of the thoughts or questions that occurred to me in the past, and I will be sure to write them down in the future. But, since I am OLD and I have over 700 Asian dramas and almost 700 Asian movies under my belt and cluttering my mind, remembering what I was curious about during any of them is hard! :)

I don't know how many films or dramas I have cursed at my screen for the overuse of shaky cam. I would cheerfully break the camera person's hands! It absolutely destroys any scene where a viewer becomes aware of it and OCN is a chronic culprit in the overuse of it. Finding good uses of it, for me, would be difficult since I have become so hostile to it that I immediately start 'talking to the screen' when I see it. I remember one drama a few years ago (OCN I'm pretty sure), where I actually dropped it, it was SO prevalent! If you decide to write an article I will be reading it, of course. But I will be firmly on the anti side! :)
