Does anyone else think the fl forgave the ml way too fast for buying off all the victims of the fire? It only…
Without the ML's actions, the victims would have gotten nothing at all. It was the ML who published the news, and this was the most he could've done for the victims. It's not realistic for him to bring down Ding Kun even if he had evidence (war, corruption within government, etc), and I'm sure the FML realizes this.
Exactly what I wanted - a conclusion for Leng Yue and Jing Yi, and a bit more of Chu Chu and Prince An. Wouldn't mind it being longer, but definitely made up for the lackluster ending of the drama.
It's really frustrating when a drama is tagged unde Romance when it's not the main focus. Waste of time when people…
If there is some romance, then I think it's fair to tag it as romance.
And tbh, the romance in this drama is one of my favorites. The relationship of the 2 leads feels real and healthy. I much prefer it over other dramas that constantly try to remind you that the 2 leads are destined to be couples every episode.
I'm not sure how I feel about this drama... I overall enjoyed it, but I had much higher (or perhaps just different) expectations after watching the first few episodes.
The drama was 70% romance 30% sports (which I liked), then turned into 20% romance 80% sports last few episodes. The romance also felt more dry than I wanted after they got together. Their interactions before they started dating were more enjoyable to watch imo. Even in the 2nd to last episode, when the "accident" happens to the ML, the FL just stares for 5 seconds with a "surprised Pikachu face" before moving from her seat. Somehow even Yu Bing Ling looked more concerned.
I'm also disappointed that there are hardly any scenes of the leads skating together (considering the title of the drama).
I really liked Coach Zhuang, and she had one of the few memorable/admirable moments during the Lingyun Cup. The ML was good as well. But other than them, no other character really stood out to me. It's an 8/10 for me. Decent, but I expected more.
I think the FL is kind of... boring? Not sure if that's the right word here, but I see Shen Zheng Yi at episode 31 (so far, where I'm at) exactly the same way as how I saw her at episode 1. She has a very standard "good girl / athlete" personality and nothing she has done so far entertained or surprised me (at least in a good way) as it's all quite predictable.
Also why do all the white people in Milan speak mandarin...like he made her learn italian for what
He said that if she knew Italian, she'd be able to get along and communicate with Alex better. But that was just an excuse to waste her time so she doesn't hang around the SML all day.
Would really like to see him in more main leading roles
With the success of Imperial Coroner and Once We Get Married he'll definitely get more leading roles from now on. His role in The Longest Promise will probably help too.
I've struggled through two episodes, why do people love this so much? Genuinly curious. Just not my cup of tea.
The first 10-15 episodes is basically just an introduction to the characters and the world.
The story gets good afterwards. Granted, if only 2 episodes makes you struggle, I don't know if this is the drama for you, because there are a lot of parts that also make me bored. I loved the drama as a whole, but it's not a drama that will keep you interested for all 50 episodes
probably because the old cast are all too expensive now for this show the supporting cast from season 1 seem to all be getting main roles on their new projects
I'm currently rewatching. I can skip all the nonsense (2nd leads, 2nd couple) and just watch the cute scenes between the 2 leads. It's such an enjoyable rewatch.
Many people just give credit to the ML being written well, but I think it would be very hard to find another actor that can play the prince as well as Wang Zi Qi did. His face, expressions, and charisma was what made the ML so likable imo.
Just finished. Probably my favorite drama in recent memory. While there isn't a huge focus on romance, I thought the romance aspect was really well done. There's proper buildup in the 2 leads' relationship, and when they finally start to get together it feels so magical. The prince hugging Chu Chu after he tried to save her (but then get saved by Chu Chu instead because he's a terrible swimmer lol) was such a beautiful moment

Please don't tell me it's actually only 1 episode?

I did some research and apparently this show is a huge success internationally

Hopefully with this much success there'll be a season 2?
there's a misunderstanding which causes the FL to stay away from the ML for an episode, but no actual breakups
