Its not surprising that it happened but its not deserved or justifiable imo. He's a much better official than most of the court. If I was a ruler I'd rather have officials who are open about their intentions even if that means them being brash from time to time over people quietly and sneakily scheming behind my back.

You do realise she was coerced into signing a contract that violates her autonomy and fundamental rights. You do realise that his trapping of her and disallowing her to divorce him is legally dubious in itself.

Yeah, I like that he isn't boring, but at the same time, seeing him stressed out and anxious makes me happy. That's how he's made her feel for the entire duration of their marriage, so it's good he gets a taste of his own medicine.

The basis of a healthy relationship is viewing your partner as an equal. He may not be physically abusive or have verbal outbursts but he does not recognise her capabilities nor does he see her as an equal. Even in relationships where the husband goes out to earn and the wife stays home if the man doesn't appreciate the woman's hard work running the household that relationship will fall apart for sure.

I've watched the first 3 episides and so far it's engaging. You might be frustrated with the female lead's passive attitude towards life but I think it will only make her character growth and self exploration later more satisfying.

It's not that mdl is targeting this show in particular or anything. they do articles like this all the time comparing when 2 kdramas are airing at the same time like https://kisskh.at/article/black-out-rises-to-highest-ratings-bad-memory-eraser-hits-new-low. It's just they only recently started posting about cdramas so this is the first like this for a cdrama. I'll add that both shows are great imo and ratings aren't everything.
