I'm thinking the opposite. I really enjoyed taxi driver and had no problems with the acting but I'm finding the portrayal of a "sociopath" here to be kind of exaggerated and cartoonish. I don't think it's PMY's fault whatsoever though bc she's just going along with the director's vision.

This just isnt true. It's not that deep to use a VPN so long as you're not doing anything crazy. In the cdrama "A Beautiful Lie" which had to pass censors one of the characters uses a social media which is unavailable in China without a VPN.
