Yeah they are a bit vague on this one. These are things I assumed from what they choose to reveal in the series:
1. Duan Xu got kidnapped as a kid
2. His father made Fang Ji act as Duanxu
3. Duan Xu got back to Great Liang
4. Remember that time when the "Duan Xu" who is famous for his poetry (Fang Ji) traveled & was assassinated, that's when the real Duan Xu saved him & introduced himself. The travel might a ruse for his father to kill Fang Ji to silence him & get Duan Xu back as his son.
5. The exam probably came after when Duan Xu, Fang Ji & the prince became top scholars (most likely became friends) & made a pact to be the best in their own roles to make their nation better in the future.

I hate that a lot of people unnecessarily died & that even Duan Xu's already short life even got shorter I will forever curse the writers & director 😭😭😭😭

No one best fit to play as He Simu other than Dilraba herself. She is ethereal, soft & fierce at the same time. I was a little bit afraid it's gonna be the same with Glory when the fl is a too strong character that the ml fades & there is no chemistry but I am glad it is not the case here. They purposely made the ml character strong willed & skillful in martial arts just fit to be paired up with the Sovereign of the Spirit World. This is the only historical fantasy I actually finish watching lol.

Miles miles miles lol I just saw his pathetic weak one sided lover character in Flourised Peony and now his love here is unrequited as well. But fortunately, he is a powerful still kinda pathetic albeit selfish character, very fit for a villain role. He still pissed me off 😭 I love his first appearance like hello grand entrance.

Why did I not wait for it to be complete before I start watching?!!! The ending of ep 7??!!! Hellooo?!!!! I need japanese bls to start the make up or dating not at the last episode, we need at least 2 eps of dating era!!!!

Not the best but good actors with solid plot. I love Jet & Chan, watching them fall in love makes me laugh, giggle & scream lol. They're too cute. Just not a fan of them being another couple from the past life, it's unnecessary. It's understandable with the main characters considering their shared past & reincarnation essential to the core of the plot but not with Jet & Chan, like it was overkill of past life lovers trope.
And it was too long. I have to fast forward the last four episodes lol.

Net's guest role is so funny, I laughed so hard.

I've seen a lot of wedding scenes in series, modern & historical but this is probably the most heart fluttering & giggle worthy!

This is the most women centered & empowerment series I watched, much more special in historical one when women's purpose only tied to her husband & children. I know this is gonna be introduction to s2 so I don't mind much progress. Ironically, so many things happened as well. I am giggling & screaming at the last episodes whenever they have even remotely romantic scenes. Can't wait to watch the s2!

They are so stinking cute & flirty!!!!! This is a light, funny & fluffy youth romance series with a hint of spice (as expected of domundi lol) but it is very entertaining. To be fair, there's not much to work on with that novel. I definitely enjoyed this more than your sky. This brights up my week every time new ep is released, cb it's ending already!

Can't wait for more series with this cp in the future. I don't watch much BL now but I will always tune in for their future projects.

This is def different than his other usual roles which is good I guess for him to get out of that goody ceo/office worker type casted roles, if I am not pissed off by his character here lol. I love very well portrayed villain/antagonist character so I am excited to watch love beyond grave and see how Miles play his character in that series.

Breeze of Love is one of my fave korean bls. Icb this cp is back again with another series, it feels like a dream! I love this new series. I hope korean bls should stick to this heart fluttering, sentimental theme that brings warmth to your heart bc they do it well. I'm tired of these new korean bls focusing more on skinships than stories.

Damn a special episode would be good, even just one jebaaaal. I'm not above begging.

Their relationship is so real, warm & strong. I love them!

This reminds of fated hearts but this one is more complicated bc the fl has family so she can't just abandon her identity. Fated hearts though is miles better than this. This series has a lot of dragging episodes, I have to fast forward many times. I believe they could done all that in 32 eps.

8/10 - I don't fully enjoy it but I have to give credits for the foundation plot

The way Yuan yuan has only limited number of scenes but she slay her character every single time.

I feel the same with you. There are so many artists in gmm & they have lots of series line up every year, some are even push to next year. The quality of their series have been compromised. Even talented cps like Aouboom are stuck as second couple.
