they still can have young actor (not the voice actor) to play Matsubara and show his face as long as they don't let him speak whenever he removes the paper bag, tho personally I don't really mind if I never got to see his face
Amazing characterization; they introduced people with complex psyche and then explore their nature. Its take on adultery, marriage, love, life, and happiness is very grounded. It's easy to mistaken this drama as pretentious precisely because two of the main characters (Hye Jin and Jun Soo) are pretentious. On the other hand you can say they just feel too much, contemplate too much, and put too much importance on things like true love and happiness that many of us think as mere mirages of life.
Now the plot is thin and it's stretched over the whole 24 eps. So it's draggy, not the kind of many-pointless-scenes draggy but it-takes-several-scenes-to-deliver-one-point kind of draggy. Also, I don't think LDW nailed his character. Well he tried, so at least I could catch what emotion he's trying to convey.
This drama suffered from absentee leads!! I swear I saw more of the other characters than I did Sisi and Yang…
I'm with you. I was skipping all the scenes without the main couple (they're the sole reason I tried this show) and ended up practically skipping the whole show lol. Maybe I should've paid attention to the storyline.
It's filled with absurd, laugh-out-loud funny, thoughtful, meaningful moments. And basically, only doramas can make their characters to be morally flawed and multi-dimensional and endearing at the same time.
It's smart and crafty, my favorite part is how the brothers are all badass doing missions and scheming and doing all kind of double agents stuff but when they're at home they act so domestic. Story probably lacks depth and sometimes characters follow drama logic rather than real life logic but they inject enough humanity and dimension to these characters.
This takes a bit of getting used to and lots of suspension of disbelief but so far the story is fun to follow,…
yesss their whole star crossed premise is what drawing me back to this show! them getting together will be the best thing about this show, totally agree with you xD

Yeah tbh, Yan Da gives me THAT vibe you know, the kind of villainous character that harbors one sided feeling for the protag for the entire show only to get her feelings answered when she's on her death bed or something. So far I'm grabbing any chances that Shi at least cares for her haha.
IKR! But maybe after spending 20+ eps with these characters we're bound to care after all :"

oh right, her... I sort of write her off because she's still Ka Suo-obsessed and just like you said I can't figure out Shi's true feelings either except for his I-would-do-anything-for-Big-Bro stuff
This takes a bit of getting used to and lots of suspension of disbelief but so far the story is fun to follow, just don't expect any award-worthy acting (but not really bad either just standard C-fantasy acting I guess) rather, expect the cheesy CGI and you're good to go. I'm catching up to the latest eps (well I'm still giggling at it from time to time XD). Loving Shi x Yan Da and dreaded with the possibility of this becoming incest sigh
I like the funeral scene near the end, really got me thinking yeah if the dead were to see them all gloomy at his funeral he would be pretty ticked off and tried to make some scene too
OMG the first ep is crack. From cheesy wigs, CG flying lion, stuffed sheep, to owl-eating(?) unicorn. I was giggling the entire episode and I'm not sure I was supposed to. Can't say anything about the plot but so far it's almost Disney-level childish, not that I'm saying it's not entertaining.
I can't find it on youtube using the chinese title as i always do for Chinese dramas :/ Are you sure this aired…
yep only rumored to be aired in mid August, no official release date yet as of now. I think it makes sense since they haven't even released any proper trailer yet
Generic plot, dumb characters. I have no qualm with dumb characters if they aren't supposed to be smart in the first place, the thing is they are. Not to mention Japanese and Chinese characters in this show speak Korean fluently but can't even pronounce their own friggin name properly.
