If you read the discussion, i think my viewpoint has been clearly explained, no need to compare first episodes with other shows.

I know there is no rape, i said they just need a rape scene, and more would have happened in 40 minutes in this show than 15 episodes of until we meet again :P

I think that taste in BLs has nothing to do with this. It's just we all have different perspectives colored by our past experiences. For me, I see my friends being beaten up, you see that bullied boy fighting back and lestay sees her annoying co-worker in Green. It's fine, as I said, we'll see how this show develops in future episodes, I haven't given up on it yet :P

Haha are we going to do show per show comparison of lists? :) I didn't drop 3 will be free actually, i just stopped at episode 5, where the whole gay backstore was explained, i found that episode very deep and meaningful and stopped watching because i didn't care whether they escaped the mobsters hunting them after that or not, but it's on my "to be finished" list :) the only period stuff is untamed to be honest, i gave another period c-drama a try, but didn't like the actress, so i dropped that. I love fluffy romcoms, i was literally going through the romcoms on netflix and there wasn't one I haven't seen! I would say that i'm kinda over coming of age stories, so about this you are right.

I'm the first to defend my favorite genre romcoms... But we can not condone every action in them. Oh, they want to beat him up... Omg! So funny LOL, oooh he has spiked his drink LOL LOL LOL... just no. The writers need to come up with better stuff, this was lazy, uninspired and quite frankly stupid. In which western comedy show they present spiking someones drink with drugs as funny? None. It's humor at the most juvenile, basic, frat-boys level.

We have seen pretty much the same BLs and given them similar scores, at least in that aspect our taste is not that different. However, I still don't see how that is relevant to the discussion.

I don't know, but maybe having actual gay friends that have been assaulted by people in leather jackets and baseball bats and ended in hospital, makes me not laugh at all at these scenes. Did we run out of actual funny ideas? But you do you sis and enjoy yourself.

Nothing happened? Korean guy got assaulted, lost brother guy got kidnapped, youngest brother broke into someone's apartment and went through all their stuff, middle brother pushed someone down the stairs in a truly mexican telenovela fashion, we are just one rape scene away from having everything in the tiny timespan of 40 minutes :P :P :P

And that is relevant to the discussion because...?

The first episode felt like it was going at 2x speed, everything was very fast, cliché and boring... Uninspired music, ridiculous plot (for a straight guy Tine puts more effort for a fake bf than a real gf), combined with the whole let's beat up and/or drug the flamboyant gay guy... Like what?!? I will give it a try for another episode or two, but so far everything is pretty terrible.

Considering the universe is infinite, the possibility that there are aliens is pretty high :)

I only watch for ManaowPruk... Oh wait, they only appeared in the music video, nevermind... Carry on with the crying :P

Hear! Hear! (seconded) :) Every time there is a comedy show, it's the same type of comments, also for Ossan's love. Do people really think that The Big Bang Theory had a deep and complex plot?

I would like to recommend you an amazing Taiwanese show Someday or one day, just ended last week and it has an amazing, elaborate storyline.

Episode 4 was slightly more interesting than 3, although the youngest brother having the key from the room from the oldest brother that he hates was also non-sensical...

The only really interesting and complex character for me was Type, everybody else was as one dimensional stereotype as they come... Especially Tharn, his whole point of existing was to seduce Type, he had no real agency beyond this plot.
