It's the littlest thing and yet would've meant the world to those of us watching. I was so pissed when they cut to Fei Chi when she leaned forward to kiss his cheek.

I love that You Qin's magic manifests as constellations. It's unique and very beautiful to look at

I'm thinking ep 30 is when things will start to be revealed. That gives us 10 episodes going into this final arc

I love how much these 2 couples complement each other. We get the sweet, sincere romance from Chao Feng/Qing Kui and the light-hearted, comedic romance from You Qin/Ye Tan.
I also really respect that it's Ye Tan who wants to learn to become a worthy partner for You Qin and it's him who's saying it's completely unnecessary for her to do so. Usually the female leads refuse to change and the male leads just indulge in their "unruly" behavior. With them, he's actually as much a schemer behind their antics as much as she is.

The scene where You Qin and Ye Tan are splitting their winnings was unexpectedly so sad. She's speaking of all her past trauma with such vigor and jokes yet it's just breaking his heart.

Qing Kui's proposal and their marriage brought tears to my eyes. They are so sweet and deserve everything good. They better get a grand wedding with all their loved ones in attendance when everything is over!

I'm also surprisingly invested in all the minor characters as well. I'm getting curious about Husui's story and her motivation/goals.
Poor Di Lan Jue lol He did so much of the grunt work yet got left behind hahhha poor puppy

It's so little, but I'm upset they edited out Ye Tan kissing You Qin on the cheek. Such a cute little scene and it cut to Fei Chi -__-

Objectively, it does make sense and that's probably why he's so stoic all the time and is impartial to even his children. Immortals falling in love is a scary thing. It's just that script/character-wise the most powerful immortals (the main characters) conveniently have a very straight compass so they'd never actually threaten their worlds.

If he never cultivated and was always this way, he and Ye Tan would've gotten into so much trouble together when she first married in lol

Although each couple are "polar opposites," they actually aren't at all. While Chao Feng is scheming and deceitful, he's actually soft-hearted and tender like Qing Kui while the real, unhindered You Qin is just as naughty and playful like Ye Tan. They are actually more similar to their actual partners than they were originally expected to have been with their arranged ones. All the girls truly did was bring out the true characteristics of the guys.

I honestly didn't like her at first either. The idea to steal away her sister during the wedding procession nearly made me hate her (that's some stupid shit to pull and one of my pet peeves with female leads).
However, she grew on me and I think Li Landi is doing a wonderful job. She's a very expressive actress and she and Chen Xing Xu complement each other nicely.

I feel like once it's revealed they were switched, the boys will leave their respective homes and join together since Ye Tan and Qing Kui will want to be reunited.

Yeah, nothing better happen to him! He makes every scene that much more fun

I don't think he can take away his memories. It's more like he's afraid the personalities of the shards will pollute You Qin's mind. Anger, Greed, and Lust are not exactly ideal personality traits for anyone to have after all.

He's a complete 180 from what he used to be and I'm loving every moment of it! I'll take whatever lighthearted and cute I can get before the angst comes pounding through

Personally, I think 2-3 episodes per shard is fair if not a bit rushed. They are supposed to fall in love with her, relegating the shards to 1 episode each what make the relationships unbelievable and rushed.

Mei You Qing's story where Di Lan Jue ends up dying was rather funny. His offhand comment about Di Lan Jue being a close friend of the FML yet having to die for the necessity of the plot to move on is so hilariously accurate with every xianxia drama out there. He was simultaneously poking fun of that common trope in xianxia dramas and foreshadowing what will happen in this one.

I'm so excited to be returning the heaven realms. I'm loving this "newer" You Qin already just from the previews. He's how I bet he would've grown up as if he didn't seclude himself for 1500 years.

Everything is going great until Fiery and Heartless walked into that restaurant yet I'm anxiously waiting yet super excited to see how this plays out when all 3 finally meet!!
Her running around trying to distract the other two definitely feels like she's an adulteress trying to hide her lovers lol

One thing I really love about the mortal arc:

She's the first person I've ever seen to acknowledge that while all 3 are parts to a whole, they are their own individuals. Each have their own dreams and wishes for the future. I usually see that people don't differentiate between the human incarnation and the immortal original so I really appreciate Ye Tan for doing so.

Right, I'm not saying I don't sympathize with him. His circumstances were very unfortunate and for him, being crown prince is a life or death situation.
The Shaodian children are lucky to be born form the same mother therefore they were taught to love each other. If each was from a different consort, would they still be the same? Who knows? In an alternate world, would Qing Heng and Youn Qin have been raised as enemies instead? Possibly.
And Chao Feng wasn't wrong when he told Qing Kui she didn't understand because she grew up in an abundance of love. Even Ye Tan says that while Qing Kui witnessed her mistreatment, it didn't mean she truly understood what Ye Tan went through.
