This show has such a good and promising beginning but it let me down on the long run. The long dialogues are so…
Agreed. I think many of the side characters (including Fu Fang Jun (Xuan Xiang) and Li Xin Ze (Huan Qin)) were over-acting so it came off as goofy rather than nuanced or even decent. It was Cheng Yi and Yang Zi...and that's about it hahaha
Ok my mind has started to turn and I have some ideas of how our HEA can come to be. Yumo could take their souls…
I think if the heavenly realm waits a couple hundred/thousand years, since their primordial souls are still intact, YY and YD can eventually regain their human bodies and be "reborn."
If this was in fact the ending and the next 2 don't actually continue the story then...
The most pitiful character? ... Yu Mo. He lost his two best friends and now he has to somehow pick up the pieces.
I low-key hate Yan Dan for killing herself. I get that she's completely broken now that she lost him but he literally sacrificed himself so she could survive..plus!!!! That half of her heart was her sister's!!! Her beloved sister who sacrificed herself so Yan Dan could live!!! She basically wasted 2 sacrifices. Like WTF!!
I do like that she learned his burden of responsibility and he learned of the warmth that comes from the people around you. It was hard to watch Yan Dan and Yu Mo be so distant to him when he's so isolated in the Heavenly Realm because he's no longer Tang Zhou. Regardless of the romance, the friendship was precious.
Omg I love Yang Zi so much. There's a slight difference between the way she treated TZ to the way she treated…
It's also sad seeing her push him away because of all the pain she felt. It's not like she's forgotten him or no longer cares. If anything, it hurts more since she fell for him again when he was Tang Zhou. Even now, she's in a deep depression since he returned to being Ying Yuan.
I don't think so either. I always get the vibe that what she's saying is TZ doesn't actually exist since he's…
I'm split on that. If he maintained his power/memories then probably no since it would be like he's momentarily visiting the human realm but if maintained his memories yet had his powers sealed then maybe it would count? Wouldn't he have to die in his human body in order to regain his immortality? I'm not sure...too many variables lol
I appreciate that since regaining her memories, YD stays by TZ's side even if it's just as a friend. In doing so, she's also learning and understanding his burdens and his accomplishments when he was YY.
Hahahah poor Zilin..meeting the bane of his existence hahahah
The more I see Yu Mo, the more I like him. He's genuinely such a good person and probably the second 2nd male lead I've ever really liked (next to The Wolf's Ji Chong, played by Xiao Zhan).
He doesn't give me second lead syndrome, but he's someone everyone should have in their life. He's a constant pillar and he's so understanding and kind. It's so rare to see such a person in drama land.
I'm ngl but whenever YD says things like "YY, you're not TZ. Sooner or later, you'll return to the heavenly realm…
I don't think so either. I always get the vibe that what she's saying is TZ doesn't actually exist since he's just one incarnation of YY..so no matter if he's named TZ or YY...he's still YY.
She always says he's doing his trial right now and we've seen that to immortals..a human life is just a means to an end so they can return to the heavens. Experiences in the human realm aren't supposed to mean anything or carry on into their immortal lives. Afterall, 60+ years as a human is meaningless compared to the millennia they've lived as immortals. So maybe to her, she thinks falling in love with TZ won't have a lasting meaning and will only serve to hurt her more when he returns to being YY and that's why she's constantly pushing him away.
So literally no one knew except Junhwa and LBY that he was Huo Wushang and not LBY. Damn. That's a huge burden to carry for 10+ years. How patient he was to constantly have to look at his father's murderer in the eyes and hold himself back from doing anything.
Ying Yuan becoming Tang Zhou was the best thing that could've happened to him. It's putting into perspective where he wants to place his priorities vs where he's told he needs to put them.
Yan Dan says she can't forgive that he made her forget...but I hope she realizes why he did that. She would've done the same. If she saw him so lifeless and wishing for death, she wouldn't done whatever it took to save him.
OMO...CSS will have to walk in the path of Wang Ling...Even worse, she had to beg the Emperor for her husband-to-be…
Wang Ling was so hateful, but I am happy she found little pieces of joy with her husband. We all know she was the way she was because her family was so f-ed up
Man Ep 45 was a tear-jerker. I love Qi Qi so much. She's so brave and a perfect spouse for Cheng Song.
I really do feel for Lou Ben. He only wanted to protect his family; his beloved wife, his soft-hearted brother and his kind mother. He was like a cornered animal who felt his only way out was to strike. But everyone is responsible for their own choices and one wrong move can cost everything. He sacrificed so many innocent people to get what he wanted. It's sad that the ones who ended up paying for his crime were the very people he sought to protect.
I've really missed Lou Yao...it's unfortunate that the next time we see him is during this unfortunate event TT There's nothing more heartbreaking than seeing the shattered innocence of a pure-hearted character.
It was Cheng Yi and Yang Zi...and that's about it hahaha
it didn't disappoint! Definitely one of my favorite scenes from this drama!
